Flower day 40 It's been a while since my last update. With all the upgrades going on my focus has largely been on that. The whole crop is still looking good. Progress is good for some and not so great for others. The pick of the bunch is definitely the Amherst sour diesel below(in hydro). Buds are building up nicely and the frost is frosting. Definitely a plant I'll be keeping around. Looking forward to seeing how she'll turn out in my soil. Blue Kush below. She is just one those female's that you can never please, one moment she's hungry and the next she's overfed. Just way more fussy than the rest but she smells great and hopefully she'll surprise me towards the end. The last hydro plant. The Purple orange CBD seed #3. Plant is looking good, just not much resin or budding to show at present. She has been slow to flower since the switch. Hey @RampageZA, Sounds like a good plan. Grow all of them ;) Your pot choice is great, moving from a 10 to 40 is a big change but your plant will enjoy that, try and put them in their final pot a week or so before you think they will switch. I have noticed a much better stretch and general growth if they had time to colonize their new home beforehand. The more root the better! Obviously you want to keep in mind how big your plants can get, as outdoor can produce some tall giants if not managed. As for FF soil, it is quite light on nutrient in general. If you plan on using the soil straight, it might come up short. You will have to supplement with organic teas, bottled nutrients or both. You can look at topdressing your pots but this is a much slower and not as efficient method. A few items you can look at : -Quick, easy, expensive - Talborne, Biobizz, Greenhousefeed, pre made fertilizer -Takes a little longer, more research, cheap - amendments such as Kelp meal, Blackstrap molasses, Alfalfa meal, Insect grass, Bone meal, Guano, Soft rock phosphate, Manure, etc... and all that can also be used in making teas I have successfully used their soil but it was layered and spiked. In addition teas were fed very 2 weeks or so. It had a lot of extra help. Hope that helps.

Hi RampageZA, Those are awesome strains you have, Herijuana is my personal favorite. Hope you find a Coffee pheno! Going be beautiful flowers from those ladies. Transplanting from 10L to 40L post is fine, the plants will love the extra root space. Be sure that the roots are fully developed, yet not root bound before transplanting. If you can see an abundance of roots just starting to creep along the edge of the pot, but they haven't yet begun to fully circle, you are ready to transplant. If the soil or loose growing media starts to fall apart and there aren't many visible roots, the plant is telling you that it needs a little longer in its current home before being transplanted. Be careful not to overwater new transplants as this will retard root development and keep them out of harsh light for a day or two. Keep in mind that the roots grow into the fabric pots, making it extremely difficult to free the root mass when transplanting. Rockwool plugs and cubes are a great alternative for starting plants in, they are also extremely easy to transplant and reduce transplant shock. Before adding your plants to the Freedom Farms soil mix, test a 1 part soil to 1 part water (preferably distilled) for pH and EC. Stir the sample for 5 seconds, let it sit for 15 minutes. Repeat and then take your reading. You can change the pH and EC by adding inert medium to the mix, additives or by flushing with adjusted water. Good Luck with the Grow!!

Just from reading up basically. Of course highly debatable it seems peat moss is the best choice. Higher CEC, I dont have to flush the hell out of it before mixing, like with coco and because the tap water PH here is high, my thinking is the acidity of the peat moss will balance it out, coupled with the lime of course. A few sites and growers claim the same, but here's what KIS organics has to say Pros of Peat Moss: Free of weed seeds, pests and pathogens. Can absorb up to 20 times its weight in water. Contains beneficial microorganisms. Acidic pH (a "pro" in my opinion because you can add highly alkaline amendments to it). Contains a variety of elements, especially sulfur, which helps with proper terpene expression. Excellent habitat for beneficial microorganisms. Harvested in North America, which reduces the fossil fuel impact to get it to the United States. Holds 10x to 20x its dry weight in water. Better C:N ratio than coco coir. Cation exchange capacity (CEC) of 100-200. Cons of Peat Moss: Depletes peat bogs, which requires them to be re-built or sustainably harvested. Naturally hydrophobic, meaning if allowed to dry out it will be slow to accept water. Needs to be kept evenly moist for optimal plant growth and health. Requires hydrating before use. Pros of Coco Coir: Coir pH usually runs 6 – 6.7. "Renewable" resource - byproduct of the coconut industry. Easier to rewet than peat moss, is not hydrophobic. Usually cheaper than peat moss. Different reports list coco as having a water capacity ranging from 8x to 30x it's own weight. Excellent habitat for microorganisms. Free of weed seeds, pests, and pathogens. Breaks down slower than peat due to high lignin content. Cation Exchange Capacity of 40-60. Cons of Coco Coir: High salinity unless properly washed. Quality can vary depending on batch and source of material. Higher fossil fuel cost to get the coir to the United States from tropical regions. Does not contain many trace elements. Does not contain microorganisms. Traditionally high in sodium and potassium which can lead to calcium or magnesium deficiencies unless properly treated. Requires hydrating before use. Increased incidence of nasobronchial allergy among workers in this industry due to the high amount of dust created. Some peat in tropical regions is being sprayed with pesticides like neonicotinoids, one of the pesticides most commonly linked to honey bee death.

I think that Durban Poison is a 100% sativa ? Confirmations 420SA'ers ? Regarding other seed choices, I believe that Holy Smoke Seeds strains have been bred with SA conditions in mind ? -Stinky

Biobizz fishmix mix for veg and biobizz grow and Bloom for flowering. If you want to save a bit just use the grow instead of fish mix

120g's is nowhere near enough for oil though so Im sure it can be argued in court. As far as I'm aware the cops have to prove you are selling - scales, ziplock bags,bank bags, wods of cash etc. What I'd like to know is, if they are ripping up these guys crops and fail to prove that the growers are dealing, will the cops be held liable for damages?
