  1. Greetings 420sa Long time lurker , thought i would post my latest grow. 4 plant perpetual Environment: 80x60cm micro cabs x 2 - Early veg\Clone 1x1m Tent - Veg 2x1m Cab - Flower Genetics: 3x Dutchpassion Jorges Diamonds no1 1X Dinafem Remo Chemo Medium Organic soil, own mix based on rev 2.0 base mix Coco coir Perlite Worm castings Compost Potting soil dolomite lime Bone Meal mycoroot This was mixed let sit, then watered with a compost tea and let sit for another month or so, not pushing for full nute free grow, rather a slightly fortified light soil. Nutes: Biobizz fishmix in veg, grow bloom for flower Kelpak foliar Epsom foliar Compost teas, humic fulvic amino etc Lighting: 5x20w cool white cfl - seedling\early veg Micro 3x20w mixed - Clone Micro '360w' apollo 8 spot led - veg(currently in for repairs on my desk hence hps) 2x 400w HPS - flower Ventilation: Micros, 12v pc fans various Veg ,6" extractor, no filter - to move to flower once flower cab is completed flower, 6" extractor with 150mm-500mm carbon filter The Jorges came to me from another grower in rockwool prisons, i nervously hacked them free and transplanted to soil at i would guess 3 weeks from seed judging by nodes and development. they battled initially with transplant shock and root damage causing some cal/mag issues early on, once transplanted to 10l bags the offset of soil to rockwool seems to have balanced ph better and are now starting to take off nicely. Transplanted to 10l Moved to veg tent Still looked quite pissed off with me at this point and where we stand today Remo was a clone gifted to me, sadly came with signs of mites so she went into quarantine and pyrol torture for a week or two. she has recovered nicely and is starting to show some good growth. Below pic on arrival after first pyrol treatment Remo a substantially happier plant

  6. Seems about right, since the density of ethanol is less than water, it'll weigh around the 2kg mark for 2.5l Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

  7. @Breadinator you just took me back man! When it got really tough stems would be crushed, crude pollen taken and rolled with some baki was the way back in the day

  8. One positive of being "grown up" is I have more money, so no more emptying desk drawers and collecting scraps that fell out of a bankie (which then was a banksakkie which could hold ~24g, for the young'uns, sigh sounding like an old man, I'm only 30 ish) I used to nip a small piece of every gram high grade we bought between me and my housemates and store it. By the end of the month when we were dry, I would surprise them with a gram or so. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

  9. Outdoors I also find that staking a plant is less beneficial. You effectively give the plant a crutch. From daily bending in our SE winds the trunk and branches grow much stronger and thicker than indoor plants. This genetic line has been built to carry her weight. Just wait and see.

  10. You will only be able to sex or see pre-flowers after the plant is sexually mature . Once the branches start alternate nodeing you know she is sexually mature and will show pre flowers

  11. My current grow is using 19.1 kw/units per 24h. I'm running 1000w(600w + 400w) lights in my flower tent and a 200w light in my veg tent. The fans are pulling 88w. You need to work out consumption in order to work out cost so the best thing to do is break your grow down to each piece of equipment that is using electricity and work from there: I'm gonna use my grow as an example here: Firstly it really helps to measure what each device is actually pulling and not go by the indicated wattage for the device i.e. a 600w HPS may use a little more than 600w, especially with magnetic ballasts. My 600W HPS and 400W HPS are collectively pulling a total of 1115w and not 1000W. If you have a prepaid meter it should be able to tell you the wattage being used in the house. An easy way to measure each devices true wattage is to have the device off, check the current wattage use in the house in the meter and note the amount, then turn the device on, note usage and work out the difference. Here's how to work out total consumption: The formula is : Device wattage X time(hours) device is on Flowering Lights: 1115w x 12 = 13 380 Veg Light: 200w x 18 = 3600 Fans(2 extractor fans and 2 oscillating Fans): 88w x 24 = 2112 We then add these totals together: 13 380 + 3600 + 2112 = 19 092 So that gives me 19 092 watts which is the total number of watts my grow uses every 24 hours. Or 19.1 kilowatts, or 19.1 units... whichever way you wanna look at it. To work out cost Formula: Total daily usage X Price per unit(kilowatt hour) Daily cost: 19.1 x R2.44 = R46.60 Monthly cost: 46.60 x 30 = R1398-00 Hope this helps
