  2. Im afraid the roots dont have the equipment to absorb CO2 to any positive effect. CO2 is absorbed through leaf stomata, close to the chlorophyl and light. Water is absorbed by the roots and photosynthesis combines 6 H2O with 6 CO2 to get to the dextrose. Further Cannabis is a C3 plant and can only really start using CO2 with measurable results from 800ppm atmospheric CO2. Along with that is the need for intense lighting and higher temperatures to power this turbocharged photosynthesis. In short your entire grow needs to be entirely sealed to achieve this. Plus dissolving CO2 into water means that there is less room for dissolved O2. Roots just love O2. Keeping your grows real simple will benefit you in the long run.

  3. A couple members have mentioned running a growoff on 420SA. I think it could be good fun! Let's discuss how we can do it.... I'm thinking: An outdoor growoff and an indoor growoff. 2 seperate comps. Perhaps starting 15 January next year Growers have to choose 1 feminized seed (no bagseed) to grow and have to stick with that seed. Starting germination on the 15th of Jan. If the seed duds they can germinate another one but will not be compensated timewise. When it comes to deadlines it could be a bit tricky. Either we set a deadline date for when the person has to harvest the plant or have it harvested before.... or for the indoor comp we set a date when the person has to switch to flower (maybe around 40 days after germination) and then allow everyone's plant to finish when they think its ready. Once the last plant is ready to chop the comp can end. Same goes for the outdoor comp, it ends once the last plant has been chopped. That would most likely mean that the outdoor comp will end much later on A separate board or club will created and each participant will run their own thread with updates on the plant they entered Just some ideas on how it can be run. Totally open to other ways. Give your input if you'd be keen to take part in this. If enough interest is shown I'm sure we'll get a sponsor

  5. Really a beautiful plant you have grown there @StickyD Do you own cats by any chance ? Well by the picture you have sent i don't really see any white hairs, they all look brown/orange so that is one of the signs harvest is near but if you want to be 100% sure its the right time then you will have too get a jewelers loop to inspect the tricomes colors.

  7. Sorry to Jack this post, similar / same question. Would you suggest leaving this another week or few days? Now just passed week 9's end day and its meant to flower for 7 - 9 weeks, but had a small issue that set it back a little for about a week. Strain is GSC from Nirvana.

  9. A bit late with this weeks update! Since my last update ive gotten rid of my EHG nutes and moved over to BioBizz after receiving some great words of wisdom from @Green Leaf Organics BushFire OG Day 28 Ive topped on the 3rd node, keeping 4 arms. Each arm will get topped again in a week or so. Starting the training nice and early so it does well under the scrog! Amablue Cheese day #2 Day 32 Really happy by the progress made here! from a dying seedling in coco to a thriving vegging plant in some FF soil. its done really well! I too have topped this one on the 3rd and kept two arms with if tied down so it can grow nice and flat! Clones Tops that were snipped off both plants have been in a DIY humidifier dome in some jiffy pellets. im opening the dome once/twice a day to allow for fresh air exchange, fingers crossed they make it!! Amablue cheese #1 Day 19 Super impressed by the growth spurt in the last week! Almost time to transplant into a bigger pot! She will be getting the same treatment as the others in terms of topping/training. Feeding Schedule All plants are currently being fed 2ml/L of BioBizz - Grow twice a week. With an epsom salt foliage spray once a week

  10. shit, i just reread the amounts and it was grams not tsp, feck, i normally to a tablespoon per 5l and feed but needed a solution now , not with next watering. quickly scanned foliar advice and gooi'd. ah well they looked fine this morning, will take it as it comes, worst case i can spray with clean water and get rid of anything left over

  12. I have my mother under a 45w CFL. I paid R200 for the CFL. Like you said, it's just for clones and a mom. They don't need a killer light anyways. That's my mom, took 12 clones from her on Thursday. Took the pics on Tuesday. Personally, I think your clones will do well under that led But like the boys said, if you gonna flower under them, spend the bucks and go quantum.

  14. recently was directed there, was told they are reliable, have seen a lot of ethos popping up on local ig so i would say yes, legit. and honestly, as scary as the price tag is, considering seed pack size and 2 freebies, you are looking at about 190 a seed pre shipping

  18. Peat lost popularity here because of cost. Coco was cheaper and punted as being as good/better. I prefer peat, the pH is easily balanced and the activity is far better imo. It the medium preferred by professional flower growers, however the cost is often the reason it is ignored. Want some golden advice? If you use Lime/Rock dust/Phosphate/Oyster etc, you'll want peat not coco.

  21. Im afraid the hermie genes are dominant and the chances of you ever getting it to recess is almost impossible with clandestine breeding. Cant really say much more except yeah start over with known genetics and you'll stand a better chance of not encountering hermies.
