  1. Some guys mentioned separate comps for autos, LED's, growing mediums etc..... that'll just break things up too much. Instead, if we get a good amount of sponsors I'm sure we can break up the prizes and keep the same core competitions.... for example: Best overall grow Best LED grow Best HID grow Best Organic grow Best Hydro grow and so on...

  2. Hi, So this this is cloning attempt no 3. Followed this guide: https://www.growbarato.net/blog/en/cloning-cannabis-rockwool-jiffy-pellets/ Used Dyna Root no: 2 with Aloe as gel Taken 2x3 cuttings from both my Rooibaard (sativa) ladies (1 in soil and 1 in coco/perlite). 4. Just wondering what the general consensus is regarding leaves which are damaged. Be it light burn from an indoor grow, nutrient burn or leaves partially eaten by bugs outside. Would it be better to keep the leaves on the plant, or cut them off? I've seen basic arguments for each: Keeping Leaves: Allows the plant to use the 'nutrients' from the dying leaf or partially still use it for light absorption. Cut Leaves: Stops the plant using energy and nutrients to try and repair the leaf. What's your view on this?

  5. I leave my leafs sometimes and sometimes I cut them off. Haven't seen much of a difference. If it bothers me I cut it off. Indoor looks great without any dead or injured leaves though....

  6. Not really a question, just want to share my first grow experience. Got some seeds from a friend (unknown genetics) and bought potting soil from a local nursery. Didn't do my homework on led's so I bought a 45w and thought I was ready to go, seeds germinated nicely and I put them in the soil which it turns out was contaminated with a fungus so I got fungal spot... bought copper soap to treat it but I had to toss 2 of my 3 seedlings and invest in freedom farms premium soil. Then I noticed that my plant was stretching and did some research online to realise that my nice cheap light was just that, a cheap light, bought a 1000w led from amazon which really dented my budget but made a difference almost instantly. So my poor baby had a very rough start and was very stunted, I read about low stress training and how it could increase yields so I started bending and tying which is actually quite easy, long story short, I'm into my first week of flowering and I think it's looking okay for my first attempt considering the initial setbacks. Any advice or comments are welcome

  7. There is a deadline yes. I think it would be best to leave it up to the grower when they want to switch. So in other words the grower can switch when they want to but just have to make sure their plant is ready before the deadline. If we make the deadline for the indoor growoff 18/09 (same day as the outdoor growoff kicks off) that'll make it a full 18 weeks from day of germination to grow out your plant. Giving you a window of about 6-7 weeks to veg your plant.

  10. For sure. Seeds are a 2-3 month mission. And that mission starts this month.

  11. Those buds are looking fire king! Looking cloudy at the moment but would also recommend you to wait a bit more until you start seeing some more amber. Definitely a great grow thanks for keeping the journal green

  12. I generally check if the plant still relies on that leaf, but normally take them off if 50% is damaged. I only cut leaves on clones. Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk
