My second tent is for flowering with a Gavita 6/750DE in a 1.5m*1.5m*2m tent, big 200mm inline fan with filter. My strains currently going is: Strawberry Amnesia Amnesia Haze White Widow Vanilla Kush Dc OG Fruit Spirit Almost time to take clones to veg them out. Blessings!! Hey guys, Going to start with a disclaimer. I'm growing for personal use, I do not sell what I harvest and do not intend to do so in the future. I have a outside pool pump room, yes you guessed it, it's where the pool pump lives The room is about 2.5 x 3.5 with vibecrete walls and a zink roof with no ceiling. Started off quite dirty but with some TLC and help from the wife we turned it into a space I think would work nicely for a small grow. Light is a 240 QB from GrowOpz: https://growopz.com/products/qb-240-dimmable-quantum-board-v2 Plants are a Vision Auto and Jack Herer from SeedsMan.com, was outside for a month basically but due to bad medium I decided to start with them and reported them in two 10L Freedom pots with Freedom Farms Premium Classic potting medium. I know repotting the auto was a bad idea but he was going nowhere outside. Nutrients I'm going with BioBizz Grow and Bloom, 2ml per liter Grow per watering. I have a fan in the corner on 1 blowing gently and oscillating towards the two plants, I hope this is fine? Light cycle on 20 / 4 for now with QB at about 80cm above the plants, thinking I should drop it a bit to 60cm? Please see pictures of the before and after project. I would appreciate any advice or comments. Thanx. Before: After:1 point

I've been too lazy to respond to this statement, but here it goes. In my elementary knowledge of light spectrums, my understanding is that the reason for the brightness of the 'white' LED lights we can buy from any hardware store, is that the light spectrums invisible to our eyes have been removed and only visible spectrums remain. To me this means that your ie 50W white LED produces 50w of visible light (for humans) With that being said, plants can't see green light, we can't see UV or IR per se. The plants do however react under UV. Would the shortage of the missing light spectrums not have a negative impact on growth? Sent from my EVA-L09 using Tapatalk1 point

So I think I'm getting pretty close to harvest. I did think I had another two weeks to go, but now I'm not so sure. In the past I've harvested at about this point, but I can't shake the feeling I'm harvesting a little early and missing out on some extra growth and stickiness. What do you guys think? No sign of any mold or botrytis yet, even with the rain and cold weather. Pistols at least 50% brown: Best trich pics I could get. Left pics seems mostly cloudy/clear, but pic on the right has some brown. The brown mostly seems to be on the outer sugar leave, probably older triches:1 point

Decided to call it on the mildew plant, trich's are mostly cloudy so close enough to harvest time anyway. Very impressed with this strain, buds are nice and heavy1 point

Sorry dude, never saw this post. Here's how they look currently. Yields look likely to be in the 30-50g a plant range. The Caramel King is 8 weeks from seed and is about a week away from harvest. The rest are following closely.1 point

Hi all So I needed a scrog net setup in my tent and off to builders. Couple rands later and then a little bit of drilling and threading that’s all for now.1 point

So a big update today. Payday finally came around and I got my 320w QB. Thanks @greenkush much appreciated for everything. So I have a few clones now that needs to be helped back into veg after which I will clone off them and hopefully be successful. With the new light I think the plants will grow nicely. Watering and possibly adding some fish mix just for a little nitrogen, transplanting clones to decent pots whilst my autos can do their thing. Now for the lovely images Not the greatest bud pic and yes it’s dry but tonight is watering time. In the tent we now have 1 x Super Lemon Haze fem 1 x Girl Scout cookies fem 1 x Royal Gorilla Fem 1 x Cinderella 99 Fem 1 x AK Auto 1 x Bubblegum extra Auto Hooefully this addition and the extraction etc I am putting In this weekend will make the plants happy.1 point

The girls are well into their flower stretch now and gaining about 3cm a day on their tops. They've all been LST'd now and hopefully they continue to stretch for another week or so. Added an additional LED to the CMH to make the fifth plant not have to worry about being on the edge of the CMH. Started feeding the first bits of flowering nutrients at 30%, will increase to 50% on next feeding and then keep at 70% after that. Currently feeding Microlife, Worm Castings, Kelp, Molasses, BioBizz Bloom and will introduce Firejuice at week 3.1 point

Delicious balls: C99 - I'm hoping to get a Bruce Banner male as well. Some clones taken: Full frontal: I will be letting the male pollinate all of the females in there.1 point

Sup. 3 weeks later and the CG is just starting to flower. The 2 BBs hit a meter and have been LSTed.1 point

Purple bud sprouted yesterday and Durban Poision (1) this morning. Waiting for Durban Poison (2) to sprout. Amnesia busy soaking and will plant her tomorrow. Purple Bud and Durban Poison(2) went into 300ml insta transplant cups while Durban Poison (1) went into 2l insta transplant pot. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk1 point

Perhaps one of the more debated topics in the growing community is when is the perfect time to harvest your long awaited buds? In the end it boils down to personal preference but there are a couple factors that you need to know to help you decide when is the best time to harvest for you. You want to wait till the plant has matured in her flowering phase. How matured is a matter of personal preference and debate but this is when the plant will have produced the valuable ingredients that you seek First & foremost, if you're considering harvesting before 6 weeks of flowering, you will be horribly disappointed as no strains mature in that short time! Just be patient and you will be rewarded Pistil Hair Observation This is probably a more old fashioned way of determining the maturity of the plant but it can still be effective, although in a limited way. What you want to be watching is those white pistil hairs. Once 80 to 90 percent of all the white pistil hairs have turned orange, red or brown you could consider your plant to have matured as your lady has given up every last hope of being pollinated...however... this can be misinterpreted and in some cases the pistils will turn before the lady has actually fully matured. Other factors that could cause the pistils to turn before maturity can be high heat, pesticide, different strain characteristics and other factors. The way to make sure of this is by determining maturity with the next method which is probably the most effective way. Trichome Observation For this method you'll need to invest in some form of a portable microcope. Jewelers loupe's work well too. You'll need something that has a magnifying strength of 40x and upwards. What you want to do is observe the trichomes close up and determine their colour. For those who don't know what Trichomes are, they are the resin glands that store THC and the many other compounds. They appear as large stalks with a ball on top, some liken them to a mushroom like shape. Here's what you should see Once you've used your portable microscope to view the trichomes close up, you will be looking for the following colours in your trichomes: Clear Trichomes If you see that the majority of the trichomes appear clear and transparent it is too soon to harvest. This means that the maximum amount of THC and CBD hasn't been produced yet. You will want the majority of Trichomes to go Cloudy. Clear trichomes appear like below Cloudy Trichomes Cloudy trichomes appear with a milky white colour, and they will have lost their transparency. Once the majority of the trichomes have turned cloudy you can consider harvesting your plant but you may want to consider the different options and ratios with Amber Trichomes, especially if you're growing a sativa or sativa dominant hybrid. Cloudy trichomes appear like below Amber Trichomes When the trichomes begin to show an amber or orange colour the compounds such as THC have begun to degrade and while this may be undesirable to some, it can be desirable to others as the compound CBN builds up once the THC begins to degrade. This is usually looked for in Sativa's and Sativa dominant hybrids. You will want to try go for a 70% milky and 30% amber ratio with them. However with indicas and indica dominant hybrids you don't really want many amber trichomes and you should go for a maximum of 10% amber 90% Cloudy when growing indicas. Amber trichomes appear like below As I said though, these ratios can vary and are just a general guideline. As you develop as a grower you should experiment and test the different ratios seeing what high you like best. Everyone is different and may enjoy a different type of high which is why trichome observation is the best way to determine when to harvest your lady/ladies!1 point
