Hands down dry trim wins .Dark 11-13 degrees at 58-62% humidity for 14 days for ideal drying conditions , for me at least . You want your moisture content of you flowers to be around 10-12% for trimming and curing2 points
-
Dry trim definitely. I started off wet trimming bud. After trying dry trim for the first time I wouldn't dare wet trim again. Dry trimming seems to be a standard with the big commercial growers in the states too2 points
-
Agreed. I dry and trim this way. Slower drying time. Buds take on a better shape, sugar leaves hang over the buds to protect the thrichs. And none of the terpenes evaporate through the hundreds of fresh cuts.2 points

Having recently dry trimmed a buddies plant I was blown away with how much better the trichomes hold up and terps are preserved. I defoliate most large fans but leave sugar leaves and smaller fans. Hang them in a dark cold tent and try my best to keep humidity low and Temps below 15 and stretch drying to 2 weeks or so. Sitting at 17 and 62' so puzzling over a quick humidity solution. Thinking a balance of fan heater and ac Sent from my ANE-LX2 using Tapatalk2 points

Geez thing don’t stop being surprising over here. So today I have a look through my plants after watering and just basic man handling, moving some branches and accidental leaf breaking and so on. whilst doing all those lovely things I come across this brown sack ball thingy at the bottom branch of my Cinderella 99 clone. Upon searching through the rest of this lady, I find 4 of them all stationed only around the very bottom branches. The underlying picture are the culprits I found hiding in the brown sacks. I wonder if they will be useful. Considering the whole chicken or egg thing I have come with the conclusion that it was never either or. No it wasn’t the chicken first or the egg first. They came together as a unit. So my clone’s got babies. No male plants in sight, so From what I understand. The clones fly by night “baby daddy” was some guy called bruce banner whose sperm was tossed around like a $2 prossy at the 2c casino and found itself onto her successfully.2 points

Just my AH girl showing she might have ties with the local mafia Sorry don't know how to change the orientation of these pics. Hopefully they'll be fine Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk2 points

Thanks With a DSLR + 10mm Wide Angle + Reversing Ring + Extension Tubes + External Slave Flash + Lots and lots and lots of failed shots. The magnification ends up being to a point where even a tripod isn't sturdy enough because even the shutter and air movement is enough to move it fractions of a cm and move the subject out of focus.1 point

The level of growers on this forum has come a long way in the last few years. Well done dudes1 point

I have done bud washing once and my result was not the same as yours. It was not such a great idea on my part. For my outdoor I wash them off with water about 3 days prior to harvest. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk1 point

Outdoor maybe. But indoor should be clean. If your grow was clean Sent from my ANE-LX2 using Tapatalk1 point

Morning. I am wondering about the drying. Is it personal preference to leave most leafs on or is there science behind it. Some trim before drying and some do it afterwards?1 point

I'm fine homie, I'm riding this PM and making it my bitch. I ain't worried. Now I will sort this out later down the line with an AC but for now I'll bend it over Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk1 point

I'm also having PM atm. I've been spraying with a mix of 4 cups of water, 1 tsp bicarb soda and half a teaspoon sunlight soap. Its that blue box you sommer buy at Spar or checkers. Actually sprayed this evening after 2 weeks of that going away. Did a real good job but we bought a IPM pack from Jamie's that contains something called AQ-SF which is spores you spray on. This battles the PM and eliminates it Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk1 point

Nothing at all. Stopped feeding a month ago and still the plants show no signs of needing anything. The roots are free and can go and search for food which is plentiful in the garden.1 point

So I've noticed from my photos that my plants leaf shape has changed during the flowering stage, I'm growing a seed of unknown genetics which looked like indica during veg but the leaves have thinned and now look more like sativa. Any thoughts? Flowering day 1 vs 1.5 weeks1 point
-
Not really a question, just want to share my first grow experience. Got some seeds from a friend (unknown genetics) and bought potting soil from a local nursery. Didn't do my homework on led's so I bought a 45w and thought I was ready to go, seeds germinated nicely and I put them in the soil which it turns out was contaminated with a fungus so I got fungal spot... bought copper soap to treat it but I had to toss 2 of my 3 seedlings and invest in freedom farms premium soil. Then I noticed that my plant was stretching and did some research online to realise that my nice cheap light was just that, a cheap light, bought a 1000w led from amazon which really dented my budget but made a difference almost instantly. So my poor baby had a very rough start and was very stunted, I read about low stress training and how it could increase yields so I started bending and tying which is actually quite easy, long story short, I'm into my first week of flowering and I think it's looking okay for my first attempt considering the initial setbacks. Any advice or comments are welcome1 point

@Dope_Boy26 don't wait to years to see what happens dude! First movers advantage is already rolling for the South African cannabis industry. Over the next 24 months you should be building a brand, so that when the laws change people already know and trust your brand.1 point
