  1. Definitely need to slow drying down or you will lock in chlorophyll. No amount of curing after the fact fixes it sadly. Sent from my ANE-LX2 using Tapatalk

  2. Haha bit of a inside joke as I commented on his diary that we are looking forward to his grow as all the plastics pots were labeled with stickers, very neatly and methodically done.

  4. For my next grow I will be experimenting with three auto flowering ladies, you always hear how finicky autos are and how you should not fiddle with them due to their short veg cycle, let's put that to the test by growing three autos side by side and training each one in a different way. The three different autos I'm going to grow is: - Fastberry Auto from Fastbuds - CBD Crack Auto from Fastbuds - Daiquiri Lime Auto from Dutch Passion So I was thinking the first auto I will top after it reaches 3 nodes and maybe top again each side branch once they reach 3 nodes ending up with many smaller colas. The second I'm thinking to tie down horizontal when it reaches about 3 or 4 nodes, not going to top it, just bending. And the last one I was thinking of doing absolutely nothing to it, sort of like a baseline grow... I'm not 100% set on the training techniques yet so please feel free to add your comments or suggestions please. Earlier the week, Tuesday evening, I soaked the beans for 12 hours: The next evening they were showing signs of life: I planted them on Friday: Day 3 and a little green can already be spotted: Ladies will be grown indoors under one of the 240 watt quantum boards with a 18 / 6 light cycle. Each one will be planted directly (as per the pictures above) into a 10 liter material pot. I'm a big Freedom Farm fan but for this grow I'm trying this medium from Atami: That's it... let's see how it goes.

  5. I seem plagued with thrips. Having a partner that had recently completed her PhD in the field of agricultural biological control agents we decided to embark on a experiment in terms of controlling different forms of insect control. Her research primarily focused on that of specific nematode species. These are tiny worms that live in the soil and exert specific types of host seeking behavior in order to track down their pray. This got me tracking down a few companies, notably Jamies garden which I was not that impressed with in terms of feedback, delivery and other factors. In any event, living seeds sells these IPM's (integrated pest management) solutions, however their prices are borderline criminal. So this led me to find Koppert, they do take some time to reply to emails so its best to really investigate in advance if you would like to use one of their control mechanisms. So these are the products I specifically queried on: Swirski-Mite - 1L bottle (contains 50,000 mites) R422 Sportnem-T rather Capasanem 2 x 25Mil R256 Thripex-Plus , 500 sachets R1246 Thripex-V 1L NA (price not provided as Plus was) My approach for future grows will be that of a two attack approach, I will use steinernema carpocapsae, which is a nematode species referred to as SportNem-T, this will be used as a soil drench you will notice the amounts you get (50 million), they are very small and barely noticeable with the naked eye. They will seek out soil born insects such as larvae and potentially even fungus gnats yet to start flying. They do this by action of entering the opening of the insect and releasing a bacteria into the host insect and slowly begin to digest it. These nematodes in particular are harmless to the plant and humans and pose no environmental risk at all , in fact you most likely have them in your garden already, or some other specific species of them such as steinernema feltiae. The other approach will be the use of Swirski mites, 50,0000 of these go for 422 where living seeds charges 89R for 250.... These are predator mites and will hunt down thrips, and various other broad mites. Anyways, thought i'd share some info on this and the company I will be getting my biological control agents from.

I made a mistake with my order, but the support team answered and assisted me very quickly. Very happy with my purchase. Recommended. Stay Lit 420SA!

  9. If you add CO2 you will have to consider a closed loop room setup. You will still need fans to cycle your air. Autos are great if you have the correct strains. Seeds might work out to be expensive. With photos you only need one seed and you can make cuttings. But then you need to consider mother room and veg area. My 2cents. 10. I stopped worrying about my usage, I run close to 3000 watts of lights now with about 5 x 150 watt fans. When summer hits I'll be introducing a AC for the grow area, so close to 4200 watts.

  14. Girls are looking great man. I'd leave the tape on there till harvest, won't harm the girl and you'll have reassurance she'll be good till harvest. Well fuck that old lady should probably take less shrooms while driving Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  18. Ok last 2 plants left. These 2 are photos and are still finishing off. We have made the extraction. Got 20ml from a 170 gram. Just more than 10% yield. Then made capsules with some of the oil. Used a CBD infused oil to make the caps. So if it is all correct it would be a 2.5:1 CBD:THC oil. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  19. Have been away from home the last week and a half, flying back tonight. Phoned her Wednesday, she tells me she is at my house and there are cops there. I just told her go see what they want and phone me if there is trouble. Turns out an old lady drove through the wall! Police had no problem with the plants. [emoji847] Anyway, she moved them to her house (except for the DP (1) due to size), scared that someone might steal them Can't wait to see them tomorrow, havent even seen a photo since I left!!

  21. Hi all, I used to sit behind a desk the whole day, sitting behind a desk allowed me to follow my dream and buy a small farm. Now I’m a part-time organic vegetable farmer, full-time father of one. Just about to start growing (on request from a friend) haven’t smoked in 15 years, but will definitely sample my own

  22. So far the Purple Bud still looks good after taping her up. Sprayed kelpak after taping her, will spray some phyta end of this week. The make shift shading collapsed and decapitated Durban Poison (2) the same day Purple Bud had her accident Replaced the shading with net Durban Poison (1) still growing in length

  23. I recently ordered a small bong from @Puff.co.za and a vaporiser from vapestore.co.za and was hugely impressed with the service from both. Both stores kept me updated with the order progress and answered questions very promptly. @Puff.co.za also included a bunch of surprise extras in the with order and they donate to Fields of Green for All! Very impressive from two local stores. I definitely recommend them both.
