  2. Howdy, Thought I'd start a journal of sorts here. Absolute first time growing anything. Equipment: - 80x80x160cm tent - 75W Luminus Gen 4 CXM-22 COB (Mean Well NPF-90D-54, dimmed down from 90W) (Spliced a 140mm pc fan to an old Nokia 5v charger, so it runs silent) - Air (type) 9,5L pots, Freedom Farms Classic, GHE tri-pack with PH tester drops and PH down combo... 1. Random photo seed I got from my sister. Unsure of sex yet. 2. Nirvana - AK48 Auto (one Cotyledon leaf broke off) (over-watered) 3. Nirvana - Short Rider Auto (over-watered) Started both in Jiffy type pellets which I unfortunately waterlogged and placed in the soil. I think they'll survive though. Dutch Passion Euforia Autos arrived today, will leave in fridge for now.

  4. Yeah. Seems theres a bit of a, "kets not get anyone who loves and stood for the plant and fought for its inclusion into society have anything to do with the cultivation or financial gain from it. That said, it is the beginning of things to come and having the information available and follow when things change, will certainly help when they lighten or change the current rules. I guess we shall see within the next 18 months or so what happens overall

  5. So I got my girls in the Gavita tent and they're loving the light. You can see on the 400w it's not that bright, feels nice and cool tbh. Might bump it up later on Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  6. So I just finished up wiping down both my tents with jik. My hands still feel kak even tho I had gloves on, however now the tents are a bit cleaner. Got the girls all chilling in the bathroom receiving light there. Just waiting on the veg tent to dry out. Tonight I start the vegging under the Gavita and hope to get my hands on the new pots and soil soon so these girls can really stretch their legs. The flowering tent will get 8 plants: 1 x AK 1 x Blue Dream 1 x Lemon Diesel 1 x Bay 11 2 x Amnesia Haze 1 x DC OG 1 x Strawberry Amnesia With them going in the 20L pots I'll be able to train em pretty nice, hoping for 3-4 weeks of veg. Eager to get my new controller and see what it's capable of, with auto adjustment on power given it'll run higher power during the night and turn it down a little during the morning for the veg period. I'm aiming for plants to be roughly 1m tall before I think of flipping to flower Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  7. Hi Guys! I came to see what is in this thread and found zero topics!! So here i am to drop what little DWC knowledge and tips that i have. So first up, what is DWC? Deep water Culture is what you would expect, big bucket full of nutrient solution that your roots are submerged into. How does it work? Basically the roots absorb nutrients from direct contact with the water, and they get oxygen from a pump and airstone in the water. Pro's Super fast growth Need the fewest parts to get going compared to other hydro setups issues are relatively easy to sort out Cons Needs daily checks to keep water within acceptable parameters if there is a loss in power to the air pumps, the roots suffocate very quickly and can cause poor yields. so 100% uptime is vital What do i need? - This depends on your budget, but even on a budget you can get everything you need for under 500 bucks Bucket - minimum 10l, maximm is as big as you want. preferably black to prevent light leaks to the root zone. Air stone - get air stones that have a plastic housing which makes them last much longer, or the ball shaped ones. Air pump - get the biggest one you can afford. More air, more oxygen, healthier roots Air hose - i always buy way more than i need due to the low cost Net pots - Depending on how many holes you have in your DWC lid and a few extra Preferred nutrients - liquid nutrients are the way to go. Get a good 3 part nutrient solution for best results and thats it! thats the basic basics of DWC. please ask stuff if you want to know more. I have 8 years growing experience, with 5 years DWC hydro experience.

  8. So the humidity will only increase dramatically if you have a res lid that isnt adequately sealed. Now im not saying you need an air tight seal.. but if you have 10 holes in your lid, and you only use 5. the other 5 holes must not be left open. As for general humidity after that, the plants transpire through their leaves just like a soil grow. So if you have a good air intake and exhaust, and good air movement, then PM shouldnt be an issue. i have been doing hydro for about 5 years now, and this is my first season with PM. My bloom room is pretty small, but i have 3x 160l buckets full of water. My RH doesnt go above 50% if its a clear day... and then if its overcast and rainy i can see the RH climb to 60%. but generally around 30-40% constant. So to answer you. No, Growing hydro will not adversely affect your RH, but growing hydro poorly will affect your pest management badly ie. powdery mildew, root issues, slow growth.

  10. Definitely need to slow drying down or you will lock in chlorophyll. No amount of curing after the fact fixes it sadly. Sent from my ANE-LX2 using Tapatalk

  11. Girls are looking great man. I'd leave the tape on there till harvest, won't harm the girl and you'll have reassurance she'll be good till harvest. Well fuck that old lady should probably take less shrooms while driving Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk
