  2. High there guys and girls... I am a first time hydro grower with a homemade nft system in my wendyhouse. I have a few little girls growing, but am having issues with them, and need some help with diagnosing what is wrong with them please? First of all let me say that I grew these girls from seed in rock wool, and they took forever to get a root system that was long enough to transfer to nft. Eventually I transferred them with only a short root system hoping they would grow towards the nutrient film. So far they are trying, but have not yet reached the nutrients, although they are getting wet by the splashing. They are surviving okay, and look healthy enough, but some of them are showing signs of problems. I will attach pics and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction? I think diagnosis should be fairly simple for an experienced grower, but there is so much information and misinformation on the net that after a lot of searching I have decided to ask you guys instead... Thanking you for your help in advance. Ps: Growing using Nutriplex 3 part system, water is 6.2ph, 24C nutrient solution temperature, ppm is around 320. Pps: Plant 1,2,3 have the same rust coloured leaf issues and drooping. Plant 4 am wondering if this is a male as it looks like it is carrying pollen sacs??

  3. Sup 420SA Disclaimer: I breed Cannabis seed as a hobby to help preserve seeds (genetics) and possibly improve certain strains. I provide these genetics for free to our Collective of growers, most of which are medical patients. I am not a master breeder, this was the first year that I could see so many of my own crosses being grown out, a wonderful experience. After being a custodian for so many years, it is time we share the Fire with the community. Some of the bud shots will be grown by me, most pictures I will post here will be from growers and future breeders in our Collective. Blessed love

  4. My plants have not been looking extremely happy for the last few days, looked like pH, but I wasn't convinced as I haven't had this kind of issue before. Decided to do a flush tonight during which I measure the tap waters' pH. 9.3!!!!!!! I've included some pH charts in case there are some confusion around this with all the new growers. 5. @CheapHomeGrow nice! Welcome. I've recently finished listening to all your podcasts about growing in coco (with Dr MJ Coco), it was a *really* nice addition to the info on cocoforcannabis.com. And I've just finished repotting all my plants into coco . So thanks for the podcast, it has already been great.

  6. Hey @highchome I'm Shane, the owner, and host of the CHG podcast. Thanks for including my URL link in your list of cannabis podcasts. I'm a newer grower like a lot of members on 420SA, like my growing ability, my podcast needs improvement but in time it will be better.

  7. Get an enail , you will never look back. I went over to an enail a while ago and will never go back to a torch , a torch is so inaccurate.

  9. Been a few days, sprayed the girls down in both tents with AQSP and then decided to mutilate all of my plants for flowering for the next 3-4 weeks veg cycle coming up. I'll be doing another feeding of explogrow for it and tied all of them down also. Exciting times ahead! The first two photos are of my Bay11 after the mutilation and then all of my girls after defol Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  12. i've grown nice plants with them using the lucas method - no grow only micro & bloom @ a 1:2 ratio in veg & 1:4 ratio during flower. the plants were good but i really struggled to dial in the ppm & during flower its easy to fk up with all the nitrogen.

  14. @Dank The nutrients are micro veg and bloom, so i am guessing there are micro elements in the 1st bottle? The roots look fine. They are white, but tiny little pinheads poking through the rockwell on some and a little longer on others. They are getting splashed by the nft running past, so should be okay for watering. I am going to drop the ph to 5.8 and see how they like that. I know it is a matter of find ing the sweet spot. Used to growing in soil, so need to get used to this setup now. How often would you empty the reservoir and flush with ph'd water only? And how long on the flush cycle before emptying and supplying muted water again? Thanx a lot for you help

  15. Slight discoloration of the bottom 2 leaves on one plant something to worry about? They've been under lights since 8 this morning as it crappy weather in Cape Town. Last watered yesterday morning and bucket weight doesn't feel too light to water them just yet....

  18. Some insects lay their eggs in a type of protective foam that looks very similar to that. All due respect to all living creatures but, If it looks vegetarian, it's got no business near my plants. Sent from my SM-A500F using Tapatalk

  19. All dried and ready for the cure. Both plants delivered in excess of 750g each. It has been a pleasure to bring you that are following this log. It is still frightening at times to post to a practically public platform a tiny piece of my passion for plants. I have however realised that as much as this log has been incriminating, it has also been an example of how benign it is to grow cannabis. None of my neighbors bled or died as a result of my plants. I breed pepper plants too and spend more time with them than any other species. The point is. Here it is...the seeds went into soak on the day the Constitutional Court made the verdict, and an entire baby later, yes almost 6 months of veg and just over 3 months of flower, I am consuming my own non criminal cannabis, and this log is proof of where my Cannabis has come from. Start a grow log. Not entirely for our benefit but for your own. This revolution has long gained traction but having a log like this one is powerful, factual evidence that you are growing your own Cannabis and you can fully account since seed/clone. But really...we have had to live in the dark with this forever...Let's show them how we do it like the productive normal people we are. To put costs of this grow into perspective. I spent a total of R200 on fertilizer. My soil mix cost me R400. Water was R30 x 9 months, so R180. For a total of under a grand spent, that works out to about R1 to R1,50 a gram. This changes everything. This improves my life. This, well this! That gives myself and my wife 2g a day until I can grow and harvest again 12 months from now.
