  4. @CleanGreen I think the whole idea behind a mother plant is more to know exactly what you are going to get instead of having to grow from seed with a chance of getting same strain but different fenotype. Mothers can also produces clones all the time, so getting a hight number of plants going quickly, a mother would be useful. It seems that the colloidal silver does work. It is just not recommended to smoke the plant that you used that method on. So best is to treat one of the clones with colloidal silver and then pollinate a different female. That produces female seeds only as the pollen used originally came from a female plant.

  5. You can always force hermie and create feminized seeds if you're short on space. It is what I will be trying this season. Helps a lot to be able to essentially shut down your operation during summer months and always have a backup for your favourite genetics.

  6. @CleanGreen - If you want any sort of volume, you gotta have mommies!

  7. Be careful about not keeping a consistent light and dark period through veg. It can lead to hermi problems in flower. Anything your plant encounters during veg will eventually play out in flower. May it be a positive or a negative [emoji271][emoji3577] Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  8. Aaaaaand we are back! Keep your eyes peeled. Busy bringing some clones up to speed in my custom designed space bucket. Must admit I was super impressed with it. Managed to pull a decent harvest out of it with very inexpensive materials. Probably spent less than 1k and had LEDs, wifi enabled light and fan controls, and it was completely stealth. Just looked like a stack of two buckets! Also, I ended up with about 300g of dry weight at the last grow - sorry I didnt update with pics. But it was a monster of success. I had something like 9 of the big console jars full. Really I dont see how I could need more space than the bucket to supply myself at these rates! While the grow in the bucket didnt yield nugs as big as in the cabinet, they were pretty good, and they smoked the same. Makes me wonder if there really is that much credence in my high powered LEDS. I'll be growing some White Widow (ye olde classic) and Super Skunk Kush thanks to @highchome I will hopefully be expanding the selection, I'd like to grow at least 3 separate strains this time around, and get my femm'd seeds going as I dont have an aircon to really keep plants going during the summer months, having seeds I can restart from in autumn is ideal. My previous attempt at femm seeds failed completely, plants ended up not hermie'ing And thanks @Stinger96

  9. I see some of the international guys keeping their mother plants for 10 years and longer under a 18/6 light. So if you have a favourite strain, it might be worth it if you have the space to keep a plant that never flowers. Would like to try it eventually, but need a bigger space for that.

  10. Been a few days, sprayed the girls down in both tents with AQSP and then decided to mutilate all of my plants for flowering for the next 3-4 weeks veg cycle coming up. I'll be doing another feeding of explogrow for it and tied all of them down also. Exciting times ahead! The first two photos are of my Bay11 after the mutilation and then all of my girls after defol Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  12. @DeeJay your plants arent seedlings anymore you are in veg now, i stop calling them seedlings after the 2nd set of true leaves are out - set with 3 leaves, but if you're nervous then increase the ppm to 450 for a week then 600 until you can see new healthy growth, then increase to 800ppm, check the tips of leaves for nute burn (give it a week or so) then increase a bit more until you see the first signs of nute burn, dial it back & you should be good till flower, in flower you need to readjust, as they dont like too much Nitrogen. Are you top feeding them while their roots are still growing? Do yourself a favour & look up the Lucas method or Formula for GH flora. You know what NPK is? so with cannabis it should be NKPMgCa - long abbreviation lol but ya its that important. if you're using the flora series you'll defs need to use calmag & asap (some nutes have the added calmag ie GH coco range). best quick fix method is to do a foliar feed at about 150ppm calmag, 150 Grow & Bloom, spray under the leaves tonight about 15 mins before lights out & keep your fan going.

  15. i've used nutriplex & i'll be honest i dont like them. but, yes increase your ppm to about 600 until they come right then increase to about 800ppm. also calmag deficiency! remember if you are using calmag, add your PPM for nutes after calmag. where about are your lights heightwise?

  19. @Dank I have followed the feeding chart for seedlings and had to slightly increase the amounts of feed to get the ppm up a bit. I have now dropped the ph to 5.8 and will wait and see if things improve. PPM is sitting at around 380 at the moment, so I am assuming that feed mix is around about the mark? I filled the reservoir (15l) on the 1st, and from the info I found on the net, it seems like a weekly change is needed. I am thinking to flush with ph'd water for 24h and then fill with fresh nutes and start the next week's feed. If anyone could comment on this schedule? Thanx all
