  1. So here we are, you know, sitting again. Officially day 1 of 12/12, with my girls just before the lights come on now at 6pm. I'll give it a few more weeks and see what else I'd need to defoliate but for now they seem good Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  2. Fresh seeds have blocking enzymes that inhibit germination and they take about 6-8 weeks to disappear.

  3. Not quite a weekly update but here goes: I’ve decided to mainline these ladies as per the Nugbuckets tutorial (can’t remember the forum I found that on). The idea is basically to top your plant a number of times, each time effectively doubling your main colas, and removing practically all other growth. The ASD has currently been topped once (2 colas) and the TBK twice (4 colas). They’ve also both received their first nutes a few days ago (1/4 recommended dose) and seem to be responding well.

  5. I feed at 6.5 exactly. Yes, 8.5 is too high Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

  6. I'm not saying what I'm doing is the best but I use ff soil with biobizz. I always feed at 6.2/6.3

  7. Looking good indeed. Next time I'm in CPT I'll be sure to make contact :) :) :) Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

  8. Mycoroot (This is just mycorrhizal fungi, correct?) and EM1 (microbe inoculation), I guess this would help in the sense that the fungus would help bring nutrients to the plant and the extra microbes in the soil would break down the nutrients and make it more readily available to the plant? I think it would be a good idea to use both regardless of whether you plan on topping or not though. I assume the LST & defoliation would assist in the sense that more of the plant gets light and therefore it can create more terpenes and resin? Which would make sense, I guess that is why we do LST and defoliation and so forth. Try expose as much of the plant to light as possible. Try force the plant to grow in a manner in which it can utilize the light better.

  9. Very cool experiment @Stoukie I see online the auto's do well with the LST training, not many topping their plants, love a bit of good ol weed tinkering! One could also coordinate the topping of the plant with prior dose of MycoRoot (or similar) as well as EM1 if it is available, this could minimize a lot of the shock and really assist in recovery. Cannabis plants take quite a bit of mutilation in nature (ofc sometimes the plant doesn't survive), bouncing back and growing stronger than before is not uncommon. Recent findings also show that LST and certain techniques like some defoliation, etc can actually increase the terpenes and possibly resin production. These tests were most likely done on photo strains. Its only natural that these tests get done on autos!

  10. Thanks man, surviving despite me! Doing a bit of leaf tucking and stem pinching to expose the developing areas. I know, I do have a 100x100x200cm tent I bought and haven't opened, still unsure how far I want to go with this lil hobby. Kind of spent more money than I can afford! Although if I switch to photos, I can use the smaller tent for veg and larger for flower, get a perpetual deal going on. Perhaps that would pay for itself over the years.

  11. Daiquiri Lime is my 'control', to do a proper compare I need to leave one lady completely alone to compare against the other two I'm fiddling with. I know I'm already messing with the experiment by using three different strains, but let's not focus to much on that

  12. 4 weeks and 4 days since germination, seeing some fantastic progress in the last week. As per my plan I topped the CBD Crack and started bending the Fastberry, the bending I'm taking super slow as the stem seems very brittle. I'm doing the training with hooks I push into the ground, the hooks around the bottom of the stem I bend the last few cm horizontal to stabilize the stem and keep in in place. CBD Crack, topped just above node 3: Fastberry enduring some LST: Side view showing the hooks: Another side view: Top view showing the main cola being off center due to the bending: Daiquiri Lime, no training: Will continue on doing what I'm doing, let's see what happens next...

  14. It's similar to the one you sold, 2 panels on 1 sink. 240w driver, LED's running at 75% (dimmed). 45cm from the main cola.

  15. Awe, i usually give molasses in the 2nd last week of plain water. I'm using a QB288v2 (samsung lm301b 3000K)

  16. I can agree to the tastier flowers, I have my Amnesia Haze and the taste is next level. Honestly top 3 of the best tasting strains I've ever smoked. Also have the FF soil. I must remember to moer some moleasses in these girls for flowering, want some sweetness to my buds too Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  17. Yeah I know but I've never had problems starting seed in other soils straight up but this is clearly not the case with their soil. Some strains will do fine I'm sure

  18. I'm using Freedom Farms premium soil. Organic is better. Tastier flowers, no need to worry about pH. Feed the soil, not the plant. LOL, i only read what's on this site bruv. Just remember, happy microbes is what you're going for.

  19. Morning okes. Small update on the auto run. Zkittlez and CBD Crack came down, dried for 8 days, then I spotted some budrot. I immediately set off to trimming. Zkittlez, 25.10g dry bud lost from the main cola. (108.63 total dry) CBD Crack, 5.7g dry bud lost from the main cola. (65.85 total dry) Needless to say I'm pretty bummed about that. The Gorilla Glue is still going and is fatter than the other two. I'm hoping she won't have rot. CBD Crack bud (7.5g) Gorilla Glue Main cola Side cola

  20. What do you mean until harvest?? Until what harvest on 24/7 light schedule?? Keep the lights on 18/6, plants use darkness to sleep and grow, you taking it away from them is harming them more than helping them Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  21. 16.5 is at 05h59 just before the lights go on. I leave a window open in the room for fresh air to come in. Lights are around 40-45cm above. Humidifier releasing warm air. Do I need a heater? I'm not so keen on more electricity costs, especially a 1000w heater running 24h.

  22. @Bospatrollie2 I cut 10 branches and damn im still busy trimming Yield I will see as it dries

  23. Right so it's been just shy of 4 weeks and the girls are looking okay... Due to the cold and me not having a heater for the first 3 weeks did not help their growth, they look strong but for 4 weeks they are a bit small considering they are autos... I'm however still continuing with the experiment. So this is what I was thinking: 1 : CBD Crack - Top above node 3, light horizontal training of branches 2 : Fastberry - Wait until 4 to 5 nodes, start bending main stem horizontal, trim any branches pointing down 3 : Daiquiri Lime - Absolutely nothing CBD Crack: Fastberry: Daiquiri Lime: Any other ideas?

  24. You'll have more than enough time to identify sex before it becomes a problem. It's near impossible to identify an unknown strain, however, that looks like a indicia dominant plant Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

  25. Morning guys, final stretch for the Zkittlez and CBD Crack. These were taken on the 27th. Underfed the GG, only picked up too late that i fucked that one up, so she's not looking too lekker. The CBD Crack ran into a magnesium deficiency right in the end. Seems like the only really happy auto is the Zkittlez. Zkittlez Gorilla Glue CBD Crack

  26. You can go to any hardware store and buy the eyelet puncher with the eyelettes. It's like a little set of pliers. You get ones that punch bigger holes, but I prefer lots of smaller ones as it gives me more anchor points that are evenly spaced. They really are a great help, and a very neat solution to LSTing in fabric pots.

  27. Those holes are awesome. They should sell them like that! How did you create the holes in the fabric?

  28. LOL well my bush baby is getting fatter! If you check out 13 & 15 side by side you will see. Feel like flowering is taking forever I want to get my next grow in before it gets too warm I've upgraded the ventilation, as you may notice there is a huge light sealed vent at the bottom.
