  1. Well that is the reason behind the forum, it is a community. If you are not doing it for the community, then why post it on a public forum? Keep your own private grow diary. The opinion and experience of others is what drives this forum, amongst many other forums. It is a part of how we learn - learn from the mistakes of others, as well as their success. Get insight from those who have done it previously. The grow diaries are a way for other members to see how a particular grow has turned out can be a nice reference to compare your grow against. Especially if the conditions are similar or the strain is the same.

  2. Day 7-12 has been the real withdrawal I guess. Tension in my ribcage, back, shoulder and neck muscles breaking into spasm. I guess this is what labor feels like. Constant nausea and vommiting with an inability to keep anything down. Virtually no sleep. (Day 7 -10) Most of these have eased up as I head for the 2 week mark, with only the muscle tension really still prevalent along with the pins and needles in my fingertips. That meditative dissociative feeling is gone. I feel I'm back in my body as it were. I'm already more active, and feeling less depressed actually. Let's hope it only gets better. I have also found that I am actually smoking less cannabis as well. I'm experiencing more THC activity ie. I'm starting to feel the effects of THC now.

  4. Ok, did some defoliation, and added a panel of 50W of warm white & red side lighting. So, an extra 80W for the last couple weeks. Pistols are starting to redden, so it might have been a bit late for the strip lighting. Can't hurt though.

  7. This is more of a journal and trial than anything else. Long story short. Been on high dosages of SSRI's for 3 years. Been necessary in dealing with my particular trauma. But, and here's the big but...Emotional blunting! I can't handle how the medication makes me feel nothing. Fokol. Not good. Not bad. Not anything. It's really like you've given up on investing time in anything. Anything! So this isn't a psych consult or a thread where I'm going to answer any questions about my current configuration or what led to it or what meds I'm talking about. It's a journal of going cold Turkey off my meds as the reality of adequate self medication with THC has become a viable option and trial. A week after just stopping. My finger tips and toes have a permanent tingling electrical feeling. I feel completely dissassociated from myself. Almost euphoric. A feeling of being in a dream state. I have a constant ringing in my ears. Naturally my moods are up to shit and getting violent swings as emotions actually are starting to be felt now. Let's see where this goes.

  12. This is for posterity. Cold Turkey is rough but it brings with it a learning experience. This thread is to document any and all side effects of a cold turkey while implementing a THC rich cannabinoid regime.

  13. @Totemic, I would suggest@Skunkpharm's method of weaning off the meds gradually as there could be severe unforseen side effects bruh... It seems as if you are allready committed to your current direction of cold turkey. There will be some bumps.... Strongs bru. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  14. I feel the same about diy and personally prefer it. You learn so much more by applying your mind and it gives your ''setup'' a personal touch. Never mind the financial aspect, prices at growshops are ridiculous!!!! Everyone on this forum has varying environmental and economic circumstances but, we have this ''ONE''[emoji271][emoji260][emoji891][emoji263]thing in common. It's blerrie cool man. Keep it growing. 15. Did you come right man? PsyCLown is right. Blue to N and brown to Nb, for fast, or na for slow... You will need a special switch to have both speeds to switch between... I find that normally slow speed is too slow, and high is too high, or just right... So I would be using Nb for fast...

  16. Also, running a Perpetual grow requires me to have some kind of stability, to accommodate all plant stages within my rooms It could never make sense for me to run 24 hours without an intermediate room to move to before bloom. Single run growers have much more flexibility to play with light cycles and really squeeze the most out of the plant. Note - there are many many more light schedule combos that growers use... But it's normally for a specific purpose or to study how a certain strain grows under different lighting schemes

  17. I like to DIY pretty much everything.. And know many places to get parts... All I really buy at grow shops is the stuff I can't get anywhere else... Nutrients, net pots, LED light systems and grow light systems.. But everything else I can scrounge from somewhere else haha #no offence grow stores!! Living and growing on a budget is no joke haha

  18. There is a lot of info about plant stress. Especially going from 24/0 to 12/12. Consensus is to gradually reduce the light to 20/4, 16/8 and then flip to 12/12 This reduces the stress on the plant and in turn reduces the chance of a hermie. Growers doing the 18/6 can negate this step as the plants are used to the light cycle and the switch to bloom doesn't stress them too much. That's another reason most growers prefer a 18/6.

  19. I would suggest fans.co.za. You're essentially buying wholesale and avoiding the large markups from the grow stores. I've got 2 hydor fans from them running strong no issues. Paid 1400 for a 8 inch silent fan and 800 for 6 inch silent edit: email them for a quote and then organise a courier to pick it up from them or if you're near an office of their organise a collection

  20. It really depends on what you are dealing with. How far along the infection is. PM starts in the leaves and as the infection spreads, the petioles then branches and eventually the buds will be infected to. I don't like bud washing and as in this case my infection was still localised on the leaves which were removed. Water is PMs enemy as it washes away spores before they have a chance to embed. My plants always get a good sprinkle watering with the hosepipe to rinse off dust etc a day before harvest so I suppose that's a washing of sorts but I don't dunk my buds in water.

  21. Yes, I did it last round but also I've grown to love budwash. Look at this shit, bucket on the right if the first bucket with lemon juice and bicarb soda. Second bucket is just clean water for the last dunk, I know some does 2 buckets, some does 3 for that extra bit. Sorry for the highjack Totemic Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk

  25. Day 14 A quick update regarding the plants. I will no longer be posting updates on the Chocolope plants in this thread, you can view the progress on the Chocolope plants in their thread over here: I had an issue with burnt leaves on 3 of my plants, not sure whether it was light burn from the LED's or whether the plants were not happy with the soil. I did not feed any nutes to the seedlings, they all got the same and have all been under the same lights and same environment etc. They all received the same soil when transplanted as well and the 3 which had their leaves burnt was all next to each other therefore I suspect light burn. The burnt leaves seem to have slowed down growth a bit on these 3 plants although they have bounced back and are growing strong. The one GDP #2 was affected quite badly and I thought it would die, so I transplanted it into a mug so I could use the big pot for one of the Chocolope seedlings. I think I damaged the Chocolope in the process but the GDP seems to be recovering as it has sprouted new leaves and is growing! Very impressed with how resilient the GDP is. As you can see, it is the smallest of the low, albeit understandable. The Sticky Icky (Girl Scout Cookie x BB#3) are by far the fastest growing plants. All 3 are growing faster than the rest and I am really eager to see the end results! My CBD Critical Mass is doing very well, which I am most happy about as I only had one of those seeds and plan to clone it when the time is right. Bruce Banner #3 and GDP are about on par in terms of growth. The overall growth on the plants is really good I feel, the bag seed plant is doing well too - although the leaves have a bit of a weird colouring to them and I am not sure whether it is just new growth or if something is not 100%? The colouring on the leaves are not quite uniform, the inner part of the leaves seem to have a bit more of a lighter colouring in a way... It has increased in size and bushiness quite a bit over the past 2 days, I am not 100% sure how to train it at the moment as it is very bushy and the stems are not growing very long and underneath the top leaves are even more nodes. Perhaps I started with LST too soon and should have let it grow a bit taller first? All seedlings have only been given plain water and water mixed with EM Pro Soil. Next wateringI may start feeding with low concentrates of Fish Mix. Bag seed is receiving fishmix along with EM Pro Soil.

  26. If you look properly at the close up pic if the trichomes it looks to me you only have trichome stalks left and the water curing process knocked most of the glands off.... just my 2 cents

  27. Okay well just a lil updating, my clones in the jiffy pellets has seen better days, I'm expecting to lose quite a few of them due to the kak the pellets were. Anyhow with the new clones in the dome in rockwool cubes we're on track again. The flowering tent is looking real tasty, it's off to a good start for sure. 29. Weaning is more appropriate when stopping SSRI's. My girlfriend stopped hers a couple of years ago. Also with the aid of THC. But to avoid the side effects that you are currently experiencing. Take Half the dose for a couple of weeks, then half the dos again for a week or 2. Then take that dose ever 2nd day. And then stop. Good luck. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  30. What a wicked read!! Almost all of your info I have tried to apply to hydro growing... Especially humic and fulvic acids... I am toying with an idea to have a mixed hydro and soil grow and needed a sweet article to give me that boost in confidence!! Thanks for an awesome read man

  32. This Sugar Black Rose day 53 of flower, shes gonna be recieving a flush with in the next few days. She is in a mixture of coco, perlite and free farms soil. Nutrients I've used are the Fishmix(veg), Biogrow and Biobloom(flower) of BioBizz range. She also recieved LST as well as lolipopping and leaf striping up until wekk 3 of flower. The light used for most of the flower has been a 400W HPS that is now been supplemented with a 1000W full-spectrum LED. She is roughly 80cmx35cm. The next 3 photos are not being entered but are of the same plant.

  33. The Crystal Gelato got the chop. A week earlier than I wanted, but Autumn has arrived properly in CT and the powdery mildew has started in her leaves. There is enough cloudy for me. There is a skeleton of a plant left. Inner and lower branches that can go a few days more.
