Transplants done, using new plantmatters 22L's I much prefer these dimensions than those of FF, they are not as wide but are taller which means more can be squeezed into a small space Also using newly obtained OM soil. Will be topping in a day or two after transplant shock wares off. Root zone of one plant:3 points

The plant lost its leaves for a reason , by cutting of the dead leaves you havent solved the issue . Leaves act like battery for your plant if it cant pull its nutrients from the soil it will use stored nutrients in the leaves. Unless those leaves where dry and falling of on there own you have taken away all its reserves of energy , would have been better to leave them on2 points

Probably a good idea to split the topic , some good advice here that will get lost in the diary .2 points

I can't remember exactly where I found these numbers, somewhere online... But these are the notes I have for how reflective the various options are foylon: 95% mylar: 92-97% flat white paint: 75-85% semi/gloss paint: 55-60% white plastic (panda): 75-90% aluminium foil: 55% Flat white seems like the best option value for money and simplicity wise. Like @Oolong83 though, I was not able to paint my grow area so then panda film seems like the best alternative, the others are way more expensive2 points

Oi vey! Yea then maybe stick with the plastic idea... Anything would be better than your concrete But some solid advice from @PsyCLown , @Trailblazer420 - Go for a flat white or Matt white, doesn't even have to be white... I saw a saying, "as long as it's Matt light" a light colour. A non shiny surface is best, unless you have some mylar laying around haha2 points

Lekker man, What an unexpected elegant solution to a ''pain the neck'' problem. Mother nature is all about balance and equilibrium. Us humans tend to eff up that balance and then many times we wonder to ourselves.... wtf??? Glad it worked so well for you. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk2 points

My current grow is using 19.1 kw/units per 24h. I'm running 1000w(600w + 400w) lights in my flower tent and a 200w light in my veg tent. The fans are pulling 88w. You need to work out consumption in order to work out cost so the best thing to do is break your grow down to each piece of equipment that is using electricity and work from there: I'm gonna use my grow as an example here: Firstly it really helps to measure what each device is actually pulling and not go by the indicated wattage for the device i.e. a 600w HPS may use a little more than 600w, especially with magnetic ballasts. My 600W HPS and 400W HPS are collectively pulling a total of 1115w and not 1000W. If you have a prepaid meter it should be able to tell you the wattage being used in the house. An easy way to measure each devices true wattage is to have the device off, check the current wattage use in the house in the meter and note the amount, then turn the device on, note usage and work out the difference. Here's how to work out total consumption: The formula is : Device wattage X time(hours) device is on Flowering Lights: 1115w x 12 = 13 380 Veg Light: 200w x 18 = 3600 Fans(2 extractor fans and 2 oscillating Fans): 88w x 24 = 2112 We then add these totals together: 13 380 + 3600 + 2112 = 19 092 So that gives me 19 092 watts which is the total number of watts my grow uses every 24 hours. Or 19.1 kilowatts, or 19.1 units... whichever way you wanna look at it. To work out cost Formula: Total daily usage X Price per unit(kilowatt hour) Daily cost: 19.1 x R2.44 = R46.60 Monthly cost: 46.60 x 30 = R1398-00 Hope this helps2 points

Seedlings don't need nutrients for the first 3 weeks. You're burning that lillte plant. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk1 point

Prepaid works on a sliding scale , the more you use the more expensive it gets. I cant remember the scale exactly but it works like the first R500 is one price the next R250 is another and so on . It will make no difference weather it's the start or end if the month , it's based on how much you have bought in that month1 point

VAT if im correct it should be 15% of amount spent. i get that same kak. R150 bought Vat R19.57 Units 75.5 that comes to R1.99/klw. I stay i Blouberg area, Parklands Shot for this formula, fuking great stuff man. very helpful@420SA1 point

I too am curious too, seems you can get 2 or 3 ounces - so 50 to 80g, basically the same as an autoflower. The above is with 18/6 for the first month and then switching to 12 / 12 thereafter. The flowering obviously takes quite a while though still, so you still end up waiting around 3 or 4 months. A month or two saved all adds up though - not just time but effort, space, electricity and nutes.1 point

I've been battling spider mites since November last year. I haven't been able to get rid of them entirely ever since. When I think I've cleared them out they show up again. It never becomes a plague but they never disappear either. They really are cunts! I'm sure it's down to heavy foot traffic in my garage which is where my tents are. It's impossible to keep it as clean as it should be.... Try and be mindful of where you were before you enter your grow area. Change shoes and clothes if necessary. Once that finished plant is out of there maybe do a spray with neem once a week for 3 or 4 weeks just to make sure that any possible spread can be prevented1 point

Well I'm getting ready to spray down my girls, they're looking lovely in the 20L fabric pots. This is a prevention spray for this kak PM going around. Pics are as follows 1st: Left - Strawberry Amnesia Right - DC OG 2nd Left - Amnesia Haze Right - Amnesia Haze 3rd Left - Bay11 Right - Lemon Diesel 4th Left - Blue Dream Right - AK I'll be checking for pistils on all of them now and see which ones have them, if they're all good we're set for day 1 of flowering already after 4 days of 12/12, 36 hour dark period fellas, give it a go my ou. I'm also going to be taking clones from a bunch of them because of the jiffy situation Cheers ouens Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk1 point

I calculated it at 8,41A draw. Here's my logic. I = Watts/Volts = 1850/220 I = 8,41A With that in mind... 20A = maxWatts/220v MaxWatts = 220v*20A MaxWatts = 4400W Theoretically, not taking into account tolerance and quality of circuit breaker, you should be able to connect 4400w on a standard 2.5mm cable on a single circuit breaker without any hassles. You need to take into account other electrical devices running on the same circuit though. I would also not suggest that you fire up 20A at the same time, as may trip the breaker. At a full 4400w, there may be a need for staggered start of equipment. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk1 point

Im a very light smoker, I probably wont use this in my entire life lol. Most of it will be gifted to friends. I just really enjoy the process. I've attached a picture of the 4 jars. I am using Boveda two way RH 62% packs to keep the humidity perfect during curing. Takes the guess work out and reduces burping once they are stable. I did break up the bigger colas, as there was one that was 150g - which was a risk to dry and cure in one piece. I'll take some pics of the buds after curing! I did sneak a smoke in - and it's great! Got a berry flavor that is rounded out nicely, fruity. It has a pleasant mix of body and head high, I'd say it's mostly head high with a nice onset of body relaxation if you go with it. I was euphoric, social, and relaxed. I'd be careful with non-smokers as I think they could easily chase the rabbit on this one as it is quite strong, an experienced smoker will find this both energizing and relaxing at the same time. While less experienced smokers may get caught up in the initial rush and become anxious. The clones are now split between the space bucket and the cabinet. I am going to force hermies in the bucket for feminized seeds, and do one more grow in the cab which should yield around mid November - going to attempt to try double my yield in the cab (using two plants this time, and better care).1 point
