  1. I am by no means an expert but I have experience with hydroponics growing other plants(vegetables) My cannabis I grow organic in soil. No light can beat natural sunshine. Organics- slower growth rate and more forgiving grow. Better terpines and flavour development. Less stressful grow, you don't have to watch every little thing. Hydro- faster growth rate, small margin for error. Apparently less flavoursome smoke. Very involved/stressful, checking ph, nutes, lights, temps, ventilation, RH. 3. Hi Spicedgold, You going to have to get some more enlargement on those tricomes. Little difficult to judge from the pics. I have used a magnifiying glass in front of and my cell camera(full zoom) Worked well, got some nice pics too. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  5. I'm not saying that one way is better than another. I grow both ways. For oils I grow Hydro and smoking organic. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  7. I have a tent full of plants, and a shortage of stash, so flower time ... Mixed batch, originating from clones and seeds, although they're all pachamama stock, so just taking what I get. Theoretically, White Widow, Gorilla Glue #4, Super Lemon Haze, Super Silver Haze & Blue Kush. I say theoretically, because previous experience has shown they end up pretty much the same. Nice, but not what was expected. So, here goes....

  9. It worked better than I could have imagined on my last outdoor grow... Plants took to the soil like a duck to water... I'm planning on doing this to all my plants going forward... Seems like a no brainer after I saw the results

  10. All our big ladies are in flowering mode. Got some interesting shades of green coming through with the camera flash. Got some funky twisty tips on some of the main growths. Any ideas? Really happy with their growth, haven't had any issues worth mentioning. Got a rotation going wrt feeding/watering 1 session plain rain water 1 session AACT 1 session Seagrow They ''dry out'' within a day or 3, we monitor the soil moisture and water/inoculate/feed accordingly. Trying to let Mother nature do her thing - K.I.S.S. as they say. Caught 1x worm and 3x grasshoppers munching some leaves- instant protein supplement for my koi's haha...[emoji228][emoji229] Most other critters munching on the sacrificial/companion plants...[emoji6] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  13. Welcome! Start a new thread and share with us how you are growing, perhaps some of the members can provide you with some advice and tips to ensure your plants do not die again.

  15. Day 21 Some good growth has happened this past week on majority of the plants. I added some auto's into the mix, want to get some STS and do a bit of experimenting and reversing to try get some seeds and see how it turns out. Daiquari Lime #2 does not have a seed in it yet, I popped 2 and the one has not yet germinated so popped the 3rd and now waiting for that to germinate and then I will pot it. My Bag seed plant is growing nicely, although is not happy about something so I did a semi flush on Sunday and will monitor it. Either PH issues or too many nutes, I may have started feeding too early. Very very bushy though and I am not sure what to do with her? The others are all doing well, liking the growth I have been seeing on the CBD Critical Mass, GSC #2 is has not been happy the past two days or so. Will check the roots tonight, perhaps she is root bound. GDP #2 will need to be re-potted soon too, surprised it survived actually. Very robust strain. Will be a bit behind the others but happy to wait a bit longer for it. I am sure the yields will be worth while.

  16. Thanks for your input guys. Will leave her for another week. Just cant get a closer picture of the trichomes with my camera. Will try get another jewellers loupe this weekend. I just cannot tell without a loupe and my magnifying glass is useless. I normally always harvest when trichomes are around 30% amber. Still so angry with my dog for eating my Jewellers loupe

  18. Judging by the leaves on the plant, it still has some way to go. Bit then I like the trichomes more amber. At least 30% amber. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  19. Have been smoking the Amnesia Auto XXL (1) the last 3 weeks (has been in glass jars for about 8 weeks) Definitely a sativa dominate smoke (what I was looking for). Currently my only smoke and I often find myself cleaning or doing tasks after I had a some. I procrastinate a lot and this really helps get me going.

  20. last week at week six day six in flower. this is my second grow......first grow was coco and perlite, organic nutrients, less lights, hand watering and less ventilation....this grow I have been battling with the "soil".....coco with perlite, vermiculum, and all the additives such as micros, rock dust, bone meal and worm castings.....should have stuck to coco and perlite......plants got burnt as leaves show, but back on track. Next time, pure coco with 30% perlite and leica......no additives and then I will just fertigate multi feeds at lower EC testing in and out.

  21. Some cold and wet weather the past few days and a few more expected before it clears up. DP (1) really struggling to keep her upright, slight wind tips her over. DP (2) Very close to harvest Purple Bud Also almost there, some leaves are changing colour

  22. I know this isn't the ideal spot for saying this... But I plan to incorporate both growing methods... Hydro veg for speedy growth... And soil bloom for the flavors and terp profile... Albany superior setup, Cause it's best of both

  23. Agreed. I grow both and prefer smoking organic grown bud above salt grown. It might take longer but the taste!! Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  25. They're 2-4 months old. I would normally veg for another month or so, but I've got the chocolope (indoor growoff) in the pipeline and some imported Nirvana GSC & Sherbet Cookies seeds that I'm itching to pop.

  28. Organic nutrient is chelated by bacteria and fungi so that the plant can take it up and use it. The plant produces sugars for the micro organisms. And these sugars are excreted/secreted by the roots of the plant. Thus is is important to have the correct micro organism blend in your soil so that they will help your plant grow faster and better and produce more. Growing with inorganic salts hydroponic style of growing. You use chelated salts and create a high osmotic pressure. High pressure on the outside of the roots where your water is. This forces the plant to take up Nutrients (osmotic pressure is lower inside the roots thus your salts/nutrients will move from a higher pressure to a lower pressure). The higher salt content in your grow medium will usually kill micro organisms. This is why you have to inoculate your medium constantly when feeding inorganic nitrients, even in soil. So yes nitrogen is nitrogen but some nitrogen sources will kill your micro organisms in your soil. And others will not. It is up to the grower to decide which method of growing to use. Natural better? Hydroponic more control? Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  29. I literally stand and stare... A whole hour can pass without me even moving... Occasionally I'll swoop in real close and inspect a leaf and then swoop out and resume my stare... Personally, I think they like the attention and or my presence

  32. I personally would not buy pollen as you have no clue what you're actually getting. Rather do some breeding yourself I reckon, although you need to breed a few generations to pick out the best traits and make them dominant and to have consistent results from the seeds.
