  9. Day 11 flower. I have been removing leaves below the screen and aslo some on top. They will be getting their first feed of bloom today. Need to change the 4200k bulb to the 3200k bulb ASAP and soon ad the second screen. I've taken 2 clones of each plant about a week ago they don't look to great but Im hoping for the best

  10. What a bunch of BS. "Photopic luminous efficacy of radiation has a maximum possible value of 683 lm/W, for the case of monochromatic light at a wavelength of approximately 555 nm (green)" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luminous_efficacy He's using the Cree Product Characterization Tool for his "800lm/W" without understanding that it's a spreadsheet tool, and not a specification. --- Samsung LM-80 test data has their chips maintaining 70% brightness for at least 93,000 hours (~10 years continuous) --- 186lm/W is a meaningless measurement for a red led. Cree XPE-HE 660nm radiant efficiency is on par with Osram SSL and Samsung LH351H (~59% radiant efficiency) --- Hybrid lighting systems historically refers to mixing LEDs and HIDs to get the benefits of both. No idea what hybrid spectrum is, or how it could possibly be 'new'. What, multiple wavelengths? --- Ok. Back to COBs and QBs.

  13. Howdy, Thought I'd start a journal of sorts here. Absolute first time growing anything. Equipment: - 80x80x160cm tent - 75W Luminus Gen 4 CXM-22 COB (Mean Well NPF-90D-54, dimmed down from 90W) (Spliced a 140mm pc fan to an old Nokia 5v charger, so it runs silent) - Air (type) 9,5L pots, Freedom Farms Classic, GHE tri-pack with PH tester drops and PH down combo... 1. Random photo seed I got from my sister. Unsure of sex yet. 2. Nirvana - AK48 Auto (one Cotyledon leaf broke off) (over-watered) 3. Nirvana - Short Rider Auto (over-watered) Started both in Jiffy type pellets which I unfortunately waterlogged and placed in the soil. I think they'll survive though. Dutch Passion Euforia Autos arrived today, will leave in fridge for now.

  14. Short story behind this strain. So, sadly, my girlfriends sister passed away in a car accident 2 years ago.. Very sad.. But in her possessions were 2 seeds labeled "BB", and since she was into her high quality weed, I decided to grow out the seeds, and call them Ayla Blueberry... I grew her indoor at first and was not entirely impressed... 12 week flowering time and very leggy... Chucked the last clone outdoor, and she grew... Fast... Beautiful...bountiful... Wow of a plant Delicious smell, buds made of candy.. Tons of buds... Went so dark purple she was almost black!! To top it off... The keif I collected from her, when crushed alil, smelled of blueberries.. I was so stoked!! So here goes her offspring... I have a few seeds that I am soaking in water, and will move to jiffies tonight Wish me luck!! Sorry about the non sequenced pics!!

  17. In the spirit of sharing experiences, Here’s a pic of what LED light burn looks like. I have done a lot of research regarding how many umols I should be covering my canopy with. Firstly, it’s very seldom you find growers with the instruments to back up what they’re saying. A distance figure means little when everyone is using different lights. Even the manufacturers distance rating goes out the window when you’re using more, or less lights. The best info I’ve found, stated 700umol/m2/s as the golden number for LED. This one plant in my current run got a little more than that for about a week. So, I’ve raised my lights a little and getting an even 600umol/m2/s now. Based on my experience and measurements, I’d recommend 600 as the upper limit for full spectrum LED without CO2.

  21. Sad tidings today, Unfortunately our reveging Mango lady has given up the ghost. Reasons are not 100% clear, maybe the stress of having the remaining buds trimmed off in an effort to promote reveging was the last straw. Maybe the outside day/night temp swings 10/30deg was just too much. Maybe all the above. She was crossed with a Swazi Gold male and some of the resulting beans were so keen to grow they cracked and showed tap roots while still on the tree, before they could be harvested. Of course they were duly planted[emoji4] The resulting offspring has us quitely optimistic. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  24. SABC phoned me the other day, demanding monies for TV licence that i haven't paid for yrs. Told them straight, i have no intention of paying it, put me in-front of a judge and i will tell him the same thing. Haven't heard back yet. i got 3 TV's in my house, but not 1 is connected to a antenna socket, everything runs from pc's. We dont watch SABC, its just a load of kak on there anyways.

  27. Same reason you pay for a tv license even though you do not have a arial on your roof. It's expensive driving a company into the ground while getting a hefty salary and a big bonus ever few months...

  35. Just so you guys know where things are... The software upgrades have been purchased. As you can see the Gallery is already up and running. In the background I'm working on: A portal home page - this will be like a central hub for the forum. Currently a lot is being squeezed onto the main Forums page. A home portal page will relieve the forums page of the clutter and will feed more activity in a better arranged manner. Grow Reports Page - Over here you'll be able to submit your own grow reports which will feature a whole bunch of data on your grow including images. You'll be able to submit your grow report through a form after which the grow report will be tabled out neatly for everyone to see. Essentially we'll be building a database on genetics and how they perform under different conditions, feeding regimes etc. Will keep you guys posted

  36. So, turns out my light meter sensor is not cosine corrected. My meter is reading low. Cosine correction is not linear, so one cannot just add, say 20%, but it’s what I have until I can hunt down a formula for cosine correction. My guesstimate is that the above plants were actually seeing around 900 umol.
