Day 46 Plants are doing well, I am intrigued by the way the CBD Critical Mass is growing still, quite different compared to the others and looks a bit different too - not in a bad way, just different. I have not flipped to flower yet, will be doing so soon though, I am getting impatient. I need to make sure my current clones get rooted first and then I need to take some more clones and then I can flip. The bagseed has stayed very short compared to the other plants, despite being older. They're all in the same environment. I like the way the canopy has formed on the bagseed. The GDP #2 is not in the tent, it's in the veg room. It seems to have gotten stunted after repotting - perhaps I fucked up with it. GDP #1 is not showing it's sex yet, although is not stunted. So if GDP #1 is a female then I will continue with that and cull or give away GDP #2. I have stopped the LST with GDP#2 until I get confirmation of sex. Perhaps it seems silly to get rid of a GDP when I have a bagseed going, but I feel I have committed soo much time and effort into the bagseed that I may as well flower it and see what it yields, I have not taken any clones of it so have no way of ever growing it again and obviously no way of knowing what it is. The mystery is rather exciting to a point, not something I'll do again in a hurry - if ever again.1 point

Hi, Have joined SA420 and support local in these exciting times. I only run a flower room (3 x 3) and flower 3 x a year. I use the flower room to veg acquired clones, flower.....then use the room for drying/cure and trimming.......major clean up and then start all over again.........building on any previous mistakes....lol. Set up is 12 x CMH 315, 60 x 6 liter pots, coco, scrog and drip to waste watering. Look forward to interacting with members.1 point

Interesting question....might be very subjective due to growing styles and variable growing conditions. Even though I grow outdoor, my parameters are very similar. Extremes of both scenarios will definitely be detrimental. Too short and bushy- might be more susceptible to issues like pm, rot and poor light penetration. Too stretched and lanky- would leave you with thin weak stems and buds spaced too far apart. Wasting space. Probably the best plant ''structure'' would be in the middle somewhere, depending on the space and strain. Indicas/Ruderalis naturally grow short and stocky and would benefit from a bit more stretch wheras Sativas grow tall and lanky and probably need to be held in check. Growers manipulate the plant to fit their space, the plant isn't really ''allowed'' to grow the way it ''naturally'' would, which may also be a form of stress. I would go with a ''bit more'' stretch to capitalise on air circulation and light penetration and to avoid all the other bad shit. Happy healthy plants that experience the least amount of ''stress'' will produce the best yields. My2c Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk1 point

So a taller / bigger plant does not equal higher yield? A bushier plant which is flatter could yield more as it will be able to get more light overall? Basically it can have a wider canopy to absorb more light? Being flatter will help keep the light output equal between the entire plant as opposed to just the main cola?1 point

Nah that's marks from the peroxide and milk i sprayed previous round tried to clean it but it stained the tent a bit specially the steel poles. I definitely need to get a dehumidifier though as my RH spikes during lights off. I did add the second net but they didn't stretch as much as I would have liked seems like the added lights prevented stretch I'm happy to say all the clones rooted1 point

They started to look happier after their transplant and watering. Yesterday I noticed one of the Charlottes Angel plants (I think) had some pistils already - they were feminized seeds so it was expected but did not expect to see that on such a small plant. I then decided it may be a good idea to start training the plants so I bent them over and used some metal hooks to keep them down. Today I noticed that two of the 4 plants responded very well, the 3rd was making do and the 4th did not look good or happy... I hope it does not die. It's one of my Charlottes Angel plants and those seeds were not cheap. I proceeded to mix the STS solution and then picked two plants to spray, I decided to go with both of the #2 plants. This included the sad looking Charlottes Angel, I figured I just need to keep it alive long enough to give me pollen and that I'd rather use the stronger plant to take the pollen and make me some seeds!! I took the picture after spraying them with some STS, so now we wait to see what happens. I will continue to spray the plants with the STS solution every 5 days until there are some big balls. These are also my first autoflowers I am attempting to grow, so hopefully I get the timing right. The next STS spray will be on Monday evening, I will time it better on Monday - do it around 30 minutes before the lights go off in the grow area.1 point

Hi Everyone I am from pretoria and i started smoking a couple of months ago, i am exploring and i just love how it takes my anxiety away, makes me feel relaxed and i also do house work with a smile, and I just really enjoy it, helps me with creativity in my artwork and writings, so I am blessed. I started growing and twice they died, 3rd time lucky, because they are still growing no deaths yet lol, I am owerwelemed sometimes because there is still so much I need to learn, its amazing, like a religion of some sort J I am glad I stumbled upon this forum, hope to make some good friendship connections, and to feed my brain.1 point

You will probably need a couple of lights. Get them big enough and then transplant them outside in spring. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk1 point

last week at week six day six in flower. this is my second grow......first grow was coco and perlite, organic nutrients, less lights, hand watering and less ventilation....this grow I have been battling with the "soil".....coco with perlite, vermiculum, and all the additives such as micros, rock dust, bone meal and worm castings.....should have stuck to coco and perlite......plants got burnt as leaves show, but back on track. Next time, pure coco with 30% perlite and leica......no additives and then I will just fertigate multi feeds at lower EC testing in and out.1 point

Added a tray to enable me to give a real good flush before harvest this time. Added the first net today and gave them their first feed since they in the fabric pots. . The big budha cheese is also smoking very good final yield 200g lower than I'd like but it's dank1 point

So they all went into their final pots now. 3x jackberry from seed and back left is a jillybean clone. Gave them a spray with some eco oil just to try and help prevent Powedery Mildew. PH water now only this soil is super strong and they too green for my liking. Hope to flip in 2 weeks1 point

Definitely would help if he is able to keep room dark, am yet to see a 100% light proof tent [emoji1787] My ladies sleep at night but I got an oil heater going. He could also add a heater to the room the tent is in to bring up temps so his circulating warmer air, which will be dryer. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk1 point

Your spikes are to extreme on both ends (high-low) and if fans go off I'm pretty sure your evening humidity is hitting 80%/90%+. This will be your main cause for powdery mildew, this is how she is born. Once infected her tolerance to conditions are a lot strong, so she becomes a real pain in the beeeehind to get rid of. 3parts lemon juice to 1part water and spray that girl! You'll be dropping the pH of the leave surface to around ph3 +-, this will kill the powdery mildew. It's spores, so removing leafs alone is not helping. Remove the girl and wipe everything in tent and room down with a bleach and water at a 3%bleach to water ratio. Air is your friend and even if you conditions are extreme enough air movement can prevent a lot of nasties [emoji3577] Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk1 point

Also be careful with the Bicarb soda. It'll ramp the pH up so quick you blink and its gone. LoL then you spend time chasing pH which is like getting kicked in the nuts Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk1 point

Sup Luke, so initially reading I thought you might have gotten stress since moving the plant under the bigger light. However you NEED to feed freedom soil. The whole "organic" topic of freedom soil is a bit iffy. Outdoor you add a bunch of shit like worms, teas, no till. Indoor however is different, you have to feed every watering. PH the feed to 5.2-5.8. BioGrow is good for an all round veg and flowering feed, FishMix from BioBizz is lekka for vegging. Get some BioBloom for flowering. Also invest in some MicroLife, Humic and Fulvic acids from Freedom farms. In terms of the mildew, don't feel bad I'm also having that kak atm but bought AQ-SP from JamieSoil out in Somerset. Neem is also good to buy, although it smells like sharts. I don't see an oscillating fan in that tent?? You'd want to add one of those bad boys too. Let me know if you have any other questions. We're all here to help each other. Another tip for feeding, print yourself out an A4 calendar for the month, you know the one that you can write on. Good for tracking feed, pH and also how old your girls are. Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk1 point
