Here we go, cobs in place, but still needs to be mounted. Had to dismantle my first prototype, using the COBs on this newly made cooler. Wattage upped to 750w with the addition of 220v 50w cob. Breakdown as folkows: 4 x 100w 220v 5 x 50w 12v 2 x 50w 220v Ive left enough space between the back fins to add more if needed, but hopefully the current fins will be enough. That's it for the morning, will probably finish it off this evening. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk2 points

Day 52 I defoliste the plants relatively heavily (or lolipipped them). I also adjusted my timer, so tomorrow will be their first day of 12/12 and then they'll officially be in flowering. I did swap out a few plants in my flower tent, I have the following in there: GSC X BB3 GDP X BB3 BB3 Chocolope CBD Critical Mass Bagseed I gave them their last full veg feeding at 4ml fish mix / L. Worked out to around 0.9 EC, without calmag etc. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

So making a screen for your green shouldn't cost you an arm and a keg... There are cheaper ways of doing this, but I went with a wood frame for a bit of weight. You can get aluminum angle bar that is pretty cost effective too... But light. Also conduit can be used, but I would use it for smaller nets and more of a sub canopy support and not for canopy support as the plant will lift the net with growth and time if it is not heavy enough. I bought some 38mmx38mmx2m square pine wood from builders... Cost around R50 a length. Bought a packet of screws to put it together... Cost around R50 too Had a spindle of string at home so I was sorted there... But strings not costly either. Okay so I made 45° cuts on my lengths of wood, I made a custom size to fit my grow space exactly. And ended up with enough wood to make a 2nd decent sized screen ... I measured my square sizes and made marks on all the lengths of wood the same. Drilled all the holes for the strings. My square size is 75mm x 75mm I screwed the corners together using 3 screws on each corner. That made up the frame. Then I strung it up making the string fairly taut. Check it out! So begins a new experience for my indoor grows1 point

All the talking about this project gave me an itch to start. Discovered that I will need quite a bit more alu than expected, so frame which is also the heatsink will probably cost around R550 by the time I'm done. Cost of 100w COBs: R120 x 4 Cost of 50 12v COBs: R45 x 6 Cost of frame: R550 Cost of 12v fans: R40 x 2 Will post pics as I make progress, but light will be finished and hanging over the weekend. Frame size is 600mm x 300mm 12v fans wil be connected for active cooling. As always, input is welcomed. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk1 point

I've been eyeing out fabric grow bags but the prices at the local nurseries are insane. Turns out they are really easy and cheap to make yourself I'm using landscaping fabric / weed shield. The smallest roll I could get was 20m for ~R220. I'll be able to make many pots from that. Here are some detailed instructions, if you want to try it https://northernhomestead.com/sew-grow-bag/. My wife is doing the sewing so I've got very professional looking bags now The fabric bags are great for drainage, aeration and "air pruning". I'm going to move a few clones out of the kak plastic bags and into these to see how it goes.1 point

I use eazyplug-plugs and have gotten far better results than with jiffy-pellets or Rock wool. I don't use rooting hormone just straight into the plugs. In summer I had some root in 6 days now in winter about 12 days1 point

It took a bit longer than expected, probably because of the low ambient temperature despite the fish tank heater in the water. But good results, 100% of the 14 clones grew. I've given away a few and trashed a couple who's mothers were actually fathers. Below is a pic of what the roots look like, I'm potting the remaining ones today1 point

Honestly bro I don't much know about the laws. Been doing this since it was illegal eagle and will continue to do my thing in that fashion. Fuck what the govvy thinks they most a bunch of corrupt cunts too Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk1 point

I read that, the leaked one? From what I gathered, 100 grams is personal use, and 2 flowering plants. They just took the old laws concerning personal use and decriminalized that. It's laughable tbh. Though I might be mistaken and I hope I am.1 point

Alrighty then just a small lil update again nothing serious. The Lemon Diesel and AK are both tall enough to tickle my nipple, I'm honestly not that short. So just a few randoms of the veg tent also going on too My Amnesia Haze and Bay11 are the frostiest this round and I'm honestly surprised with the Bay11 not really knowing what to expect. Bud shots in order of appearance Bay11 Amnesia Haze Blue Dream DC OG The white marks on the leaves are from the previous milky spray Sent from my G3312 using Tapatalk1 point

A hydroponic lab, WTF. Ultimately it is the money which will probably play one of the bigger roles in putting them behind bars as that amount in cash is not something commonly seen and hard to prove it was not from the weed. I hate the term "dagga", call it what it is! Cannabis. In that one pic it looks like a vacuum pump, so I assume for making BHO and purging the butane. I assume a closed loop system or whatever they're called.1 point

Cannabis concentrates, oils, and extracts Cannabis concentrates, oils, and extracts offer many unique benefits that you won’t find from smoking flower. From easy, precise dosing to clean and refined flavours, concentrates focus on the ingredients in cannabis that matter most. This post is a summary of part one and two of the four part series from Leafly. We love using Leafly for strain related info and more! Definition and types of concentrates Cannabis oils, concentrates, and extracts—these all serve as umbrella terms under which sits a warehouse of different products: vape oil, hash, tinctures, dabs, CBD oil, and every other product dreamed up by cannabis chemists. An oil, concentrate, or extract is any product derived from cannabis flower that is processed into a concentrated form. However, each type of cannabis oil is unique. Smoking flower may be great, but not for everyone in all settings. There are many reasons to explore the many options—and medicines—offered in extract form: You don’t have to smoke extracts. Most consumers choose to vaporize or ingest concentrates for a smoke-free dose. Cannabis oils are efficient. It takes less product to achieve the desired experience. Extracts are refined. Essential oils and cannabinoids are separated from plant material to create a smooth, clean* inhale when vaporized. *Use food grade ethanol to ensure your extracts are clean and safThus, w. Here’s a brief list of broad extract types : CBD oil refers to non-intoxicating products that are popularly used to treat a variety of medical conditions. It’s most commonly sold as a tincture or in capsule form. THC oil refers to intoxicating oils that are also popularly used medically, but also deliver euphoric effects. THC-infused oils come in many forms, but the most popular are solids that can be vaporized (called dabs), tinctures, and capsules. Ingestible oils refer to activated oil that you can consume with food/drinks or in capsule form. Concentrate options A concentrate can provide a euphoric high, gentle relaxation, or non-intoxicating symptom relief—it all depends on its ingredients. High THC concentrates will provide a potent and euphoric high. An equal mix of THC and CBD will provide a balanced and gentle high . Therapeutic relief without the high can be found in a high-CBD, low-THC product. Making sure you get what you are looking for at the right dose is easy with a tCheck. The most popular cannabis concentrates are listed below. CBD oil CBD oil is a cannabis concentrate abundant in the non-intoxicating compound cannabidiol (that’s the full name for CBD). Offering benefits without the smoke and high, consumers commonly reach for CBD oil when seeking relief from stress, anxiety, pain, inflammation, or another condition that may potentially be treated by CBD. Kief Look closely at your cannabis flower and you’ll see a dusting of crystal powder over every nook and cranny of the bud. This is called kief, and it’s created by the plant’s resin glands (called trichomes). Packed inside these tiny, sticky crystals is every reason we consume cannabis: THC, CBD, terpenes, and all the other compounds that harmonize to produce a strain’s effect. Vape oil One of the best starter items for the cannabis-curious is a portable pre-filled vape pen—a simple setup that requires just two things: a battery and an oil cartridge. Easy to use and dose, vaporizer pens deliver an adjustable dose of vapor with just the click of a button (simpler yet, some simply activate when it senses you inhaling). You can make your own using The MagicalButter Machine and vegetable glycerin. Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) RSO is also referred to as FECO, THC oil or simply cannabis oil. In 2003, a man named Rick Simpson treated his skin cancer using a homemade cannabis remedy. The therapeutic compounds are drawn out of the plant by soaking the cannabis in pure naphtha or isopropyl alcohol. A dark liquid is left behind after the solvent fully evaporates. Isopropyl alcohol and similar solvents that are not safe for consumption need to be removed completely to avoid poisoning. Thus, we recommend using a still to remove solvents, which also allows for the reuse of solvents. A safer and easier option is to use food grade ethanol with The MagicalButtter Machine to make a tincture first. Tinctures Tinctures were the most common form of cannabis medicine in the United States before prohibition. A tincture is a liquid concentrate procured through alcohol extraction, which pulls out many of the plant’s beneficial cannabinoids. Ingestible oil capsules With precisely defined dosages, ingestible cannabis oil capsules or pills allow you to consume cannabis as you would any herbal supplement. Filled with CBD, THC, or a combination of various cannabinoids, capsules can offer a predictable experience by providing specific measurements of whichever compound appeals to you. Make sure you get the right dose by using a tCheck to measure the potency of the product first. Hash With a history stretching back thousands of years, the tradition of hash (or hashish) remains alive and well. Traditional methods of hash making involve packing the plant’s resin to create compressed, smokable chunks that typically sport THC contents between 40-60%. For comparison, cannabis flowers generally express 15-25% THC.1 point

So I trimmed the 3 plants in front, defoliated and cleaned them up quite a bit. Another Bruce Banner plant started showing it sex (the one to the left in the picture), it was a female and a bit larger so I did some LST again as I had left it to do it's own thing for a bit and then swapped it out in my tent. The smaller (to the right in the picture) Bruce Banner will be going to another forum member as he has the space to grow it out, unlike me. I also noticed that the smaller Bruce Banner wasn't too happy with the previous feed, nutes were a bit too strong so I will ease up on the nutes for the next feed and then after that I will probably do a flush before flipping to flower. I much prefer the Plant Matter fabric pots (lighter colour) over the Grow Guru fabric pots (black). Their sizing is a bit more convenient, not as wide but a bit taller.1 point

Day 33 I feel this is a bit boring as the pics are so similar, once I have culled the plants I think it will be a bit better as I will have fewer plants to update on and can start showing things in a bit more detail per plant. Having this amount of plants is quite a lot of work! I got my bigger LED driver on Thursday and got around to installing it earlier today, so my QB's are now being run at 333W, quite a bit more compared to the previous 180W. It was really needed as I repotted my plants on Saturday to their final 20L fabric pots and the extra space the pots take requires me to raise the lights to get a better spread, so the lights are still not being run at 100% which is 480W. I doubt I will run the lights at their full potential as there isn't much of a need for it. Probably 360 - 400W at most. I topped all the plants, with the exception of GDP #2 which is still very small and trimmed / pruned them and did some more LST. GDP #2 and GSC #3 were not repotted due to the fact that firstly I do not have more space for them if I put them into bigger pots and secondly GSC #3 is already in a slightly larger pot and GDP #2 is still on the small side and is doing fine in that pot for now. I really need the plants to start showing their sex as I need to cull some plants and reduce the amount I have. Most likely within the next 2 weeks and once that has happened I am thinking I will flip the plants into flower - will see how things go over the next 2 weeks although plants are growing pretty quickly now. I am feeding them at 2ml / L with BioBizz Fish Mix, stopped with the EM Pro as it's not really needed each watering. I used a bit of Cal Mag and Kelpak along the way too and have finally added some sort of extraction to my area as it was much needed due to the humidity being waaaay too high for too long and causing condensation running down the walls on a daily basis so that can only do the plants some good. I will most likely be connecting the fan to an RH probe with a relay to control the RH with the extraction fan and then connect my heater to the temp probe & relay as I feel it may work better than the built in thermostat in the heater itself. I am now using Organics Matter soil, I prefer it over the Freedom Farms soil and the plants I've had in the OM (Organics Matter) seemed happier too and less affected by the low PH I had been feeding them for a while. The fabric pots I got from Plant Matter are waaaay better than the ones from Grow Guru! Both in terms of quality and sizing, I wish I had not purchased the Grow Guru ones.1 point

Hi ZP, So the major concern i see is the Powdered Mildew, You should consider doing a bud wash to try and kill the PM before you smoke.1 point
