Day 43 of flower Jackberry's finishing faster for sure Started running my AC at great expense in dehumidifier mode during lights off as i did spot a small spot of PM. Also reducing the amount of water when feeding

Well thats embarrassing, last update was more than a month ago... Things have progressed allot, all ladies now in final stages of flower. I must say, this grow was a good example of how a small mistake in the vegging stage of a auto can negatively influence the yield, if it happened with a photoperiod grow one could have easily rectified the issue before switching over to flower. Not even gonna date this, but two of the plants (bag seed & CBD Critical Mass) are starting to get a little frosty. I have now set the LED's to 380W as the plants seem to be enjoying it. They bounce back soo quickly after moving them around and messing with them. I feel 380W is excessive for the small area I have... But I am able to do so, so let's see.

Looks like wood lice, I do not think they are good. A google search seems to say they eat the roots of plants, bio neem seems to be a solution. Perhaps pyrol too if you want something organic. But I could be very wrong about what it is. Regardless, I feel Bio Neem is a decent organic pesticide for a lot of common pests. Pyrol is a good alternative too.

I have no experience with STS. What I can say if I look at the modus of the silver, it is to disrupt natural ethylene production. This is done on a plant wide scale, and silver hinders this. Even with CS as opposed to STS, whole plant treatment will be more beneficial/productive. Silver is not a movable ion, but the ethylene is.

Keep in mind that some people like the science behind it, but it's not necessary to grow. It does make a difference to know what to look for when comparing different lighting options.

I did another spray tonight, although I mixed up a fresh batch from my Part A & Part B mixtures and I also added a wetting agent to help the solution stick to the plant. Still no sign of balls. I did a bit of a defoliation, mostly on the Indica's (Charlotte's Angel). Still no signs of flowering on the Charlottes Angel, only the Daiquari Lime. I'm hoping I didn't mess up the initial Part A & Part B solutions as I'd expect to have seen something on the Daiquari Lime as its showing pistils and etill likely start flowering soon too... Id love to get some pollen from both so I can cull the pollen donors as my veg room is getting very cramped. I have some LED light strips which I want to add to the veg room as currently light distribution isn't ideal due to the size and a Number of plants in the area... Not to mention height differences. Creating this thread to showcase the rest of the ladies in my growbox during the 2019 Indoor Growoffs. We can only track one of the Chocolope x NorthernLights F4 gen, so I will keep track of the other ChocoNL (number 3) here, alongside my 2 x BlueberryKush F2 gen plants. The Chocolopes have the prime spot under the hps and the BlueberryKush plants are directly under the cfl, but get quite a bit of ambient light from the hps. Day 1 Flowering - Week 1

Nice man and welcome to the forum! Once you get a proper tent, it does make life easier. Humidity is often difficult to control, unless you have a dehumidifier. After watering the RH rises and slowly decreases as the pots dry out. What lights are you using and nutrients?

I personally like the science behind it, helps me make a more informed decision. The problem with LED's is that an LED light is not an LED light. If you compare 2 LED lights, both with an total draw of 240W from the wall for example, both 3500k for example. The results you get can vary greatly between them! A CFL is a CFL, an HPS is an HPS. The same does not apply to LED's, it's all about the diodes. Gotta compare the diodes with one another.

Haven't updated in a while... Snipped the older fan leaves as it had brown spots and started curling... New growth going good for now... Not sure if it was a PH issue or nutes as I'm using tap water... Also forgot to take pics of those I snipped but progress nonetheless as some more sunny days seemed to arrive

I initially did the same thing, seperate the plant in two parts... Then something came to mind, the point of the foliar spray, is for the plant to absorb it, thus, regardless of how many branches you spray, the entire plant will absorb the silver. It then goes without saying, the more of the plant you spray, the higher the chance of success. Once you start spraying, the whole plant will not be smokable. That said, using colloidal silver, you should still be able to make extracts (I haven't researched this, just makes sense) for edibles. I'm not sure if the same would apply to STS. Day 68 / Day 16 of flower Did a watering and a shuffled (rotated in their spot) the plants to try optimize bud sites getting light. I also increased power going to my LED's mostly to test the heatsinks and their cooling and so far all good. Will increase again sometime soon and monitor. I'll then bring it down again as I do not feel so much power is needed in such as mall space and the efficiency of the LED's end up diminishing fairly quickly. Another slow week! You will notice the one looks yellow and substantially smaller than the other one? That's because I lost a disk and it floated underneath the net pot, and prevented root growth and decent water flow... Small mess. Since iv removed it, the roots have grown down Into the water and some colour is coming back

So it's that time. They have veged their veg and drank their super juice in preparation for this day. From tomorrow they will be switched over to flowering. The light cycle for flowering will be as follows: Week 1 - 2 : 11 on /13 off Week 3 - 4 : 10.5 on /13.5 off Week 5 - 6 : 10 on / 14 off Week 7 - 8 : 9.5 on /14.5 off This is according to the internet and tried and tested ( [emoji52]) the other way is to flower out with 8 on /16 off. I'll try the 1st method to start off with but Im sure it would be fine cause the ladies gets their 12hours and more of darkness. Seeing that there are 4 different strains, each of them grow at different speeds and lengths. Here are the heights: BB x RG #1 : 21 cm BB x RG #2 : 15.5 cm Red Cherry Berry : 26 cm Cheese : 15. 5 cm Mendocino Skunk #1 : 26 cm Mendocino Skunk #2: 31.5 cm And lastly just a nice family photo. I have moved the plants to not get so much direct wind. Still need to get one of those clip-on oscillating fans. But I'm just to damn lazy to look.....lol no I'm not. I'll be ordering it soon enough. The temps is still being kept in check by Winnie the Pooh and it's staying at 23C. The cold weather is trying its part but not winning. I have raised the platform 20cm from the floor to help with keeping them warmer. The house we live in can reach 2C in mid winter. That's it for now. Thanks guys... here's a pic of the initial small grow cupboard... Yesterday I "upgraded" to a larger home self-made grow tent. Plants are in the veg stage now and the rate of growth caught me a little by surprise. Next month I'll upgrade to an decent bought proper tent. I'll be using the cupboard for seed germination and early growth, then moving the plants to the proper grow tent. The home made tent I'll be using for the post harvest drying stage. We'll that's the thoughts... In the early growth stages I had some issues with fungus flies. A spray bottle with a mix of neem oil and a teaspoon of dish liquid took care of them. Right now humidity is difficult to control, ranges from 65 to 78% weather dependent.

Nah dude I harvested like 10g at most but ended up going bigger and then it turned into a germination station. Most I would fit in there was 5 x 20w cfl's. Flowering times was fun times. Spend hours just looking. Still do but yeah at that time (for me) I was fucking stoked. But times have evolved and I'm now currently growing with a led aswell Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

Day 8 Flowering - Week 2 The Chocolopes have been very well behaved and creating a beautiful canopy under the hps, I can't really say the same for the BlueberryKush's, they have been stretching and making their massive leaves to try and catch as much light as they can. I managed to snap a few branches of the BlueberryKush while training them this week, usually the worst time to train is when lights go on and when you have not watered in a while. Best time to train is after a watering in my opinion, but in this case the 2 snapped branches helped me tame the girls a little bit. They are trying to show off to the Choco's I think. Here are a few update pics, I will try take more closeup shots when I get some pompoms going. Sorry about the quality of the pictures, working on it. Peace and love stay green yall! Saw a small percentage of amber trichomes and decided to take the leap. Even though the short-rider didn't get a flush, I guess I'll find out first hand if it is a considerably harsher smoke. Don't use large amounts of nutes anyway, but we'll see. 3 days drying so far. 70% RH. Dehumidifier stuck in customs, don't know if they'll keep it.

Yo, so veg tent first. All just chugging along. I'm excited for the current flowering girls to finish so that I can start the next round with veg period under the Gavita. I have my Vanilla Kush, Pineapple Dew, Jack Herer and OG Kush essentially ready for taking clones. So as soon as my current clones go into the Gavita tent the next clones will be going already. @greenkush You are damn lucky to have that PAR meter. I checked that thing and it was R8,200 (incl. shipping) from Amazon! So that's why I got the shitty Hydrofarm LGBQM for R2,300. Hopefully I'll upgrade one day, when I'm no longer a 'surface breaker'

You must dilute with non chlorinated water otherwise chlorine will kill your microbes

Looking perfect bud. That sweet earthy smell is exactly what you are wanting. The next step is to start collecting microbe samples and creating inoculation serums . Personally I like the lactose bacteria serum in winter as it helps prevent pm in the colder months Cheers Reaf
