  2. So some pics, below is the plant last night after spreading some pollen on her: Then this morning I hosed the plant down to try get rid of any lose pollen, no change in colour yet on the pistils / stigma. Will see tonight, I believe it happens within 24 hours. I moved the plant back into my grow area after hosing her down.

  3. So these arrived today. Samsung Hinflux SO2 strips And I also bought a MeanWell HLG-185h-C1050B to power these guys still waiting for that. I hope I did the calculations right. This light should be a 155.4 watts 3000k. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  5. Looking good buddy, i agree with @PsyCLown . Wouldn't do any trimming just yet, instead rather just bend the fan leaves under other leaves to let light through to lower leaves. I used to love getting in there and start snipping, but the guys here advised me otherwise and its been for the better. See pic below of example how i bend leaves instead of snipping them.

  8. That's correct, I think they have an hour or two to take you to have your blood drawn for the court case. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  9. Isn't an alcohol breathalyzer just used as an indicator for police to test you further by blood? In other words breathalyzer results can't be used as evidence in court, only the subsequent blood test results can be. Or am I wrong? if that's the case the same should apply for cannabis and if so... well then they fucked...

  10. Well now you making me think... This is my 1st grow, so not sure how big she'll grow lol! I believe outdoor plants only start to flower in Jan - March, properly from march. So you still have a few months of veg time with her if you're doing it outdoors. You could cut it short by only giving her light for 12 hours and then bringing her inside for 12 hours and making sure she gets no light for those 12 hours. Then you can flower whenever you want to. 20L should be sufficient then.

  11. Will keep it in pot but move outside when needed... Weather still not too great to plant outside just yet... Got some cheese and skunk beans that will go in the back garden late next month... Will start germination next week. I'll look into getting some 20l or bigger plastic grow bags this weekend and transplant the lady...

  12. AS promised, here are the pics of the plants i moved outside. Some were stunted at first, but they all seem to be adjusting now.

  13. Looking good, I don't think you need to do any trimming yet. Up to you though. You will be flowering outside too? Will you be putting the plant into the ground or keeping it in pots? It will need a larger pot soon.

  14. Getting really bushy... Will give it a week or so to see if some trimming's needed.

  15. So upon further inspection, I noticed that some pollen sacs had cracked open... inside my veg area which is where I am keeping my auto's. I did not have time to move them to the new tent yet, so fuck it. Took them both outside, picked off a few other cracked pollen sacs and sprinkled the pollen onto the pistils of my female plant and wiped down my grow area a bit as best as I could. Both plants will sleep outside tonight, tomorrow morning I want to try hose down the pollinated plant and leave her outside to dry and then she can go back inside the flowering area. I did get my new lights up and running, have them in my veg area and have taken the QB out - so that is ready for the new tent at least. I really hope no pollen has gotten and is going to get onto my flowering plants, an indoor grow with seeds is extremely annoying! Such a waste. The next STS spray will be on Wednesday evening, although I may give it a skip until I start seeing pistils on the Charlottes Angel.

  17. I smell plenty of problems that could arise out of trying to implement this... The startup behind the world's first dagga breathalyzer hopes to start selling it soon – here’s what the company says it can do https://www.businessinsider.co.za/hound-labs-marijuana-breathalyzer-startup-raises-funds-publishes-study-2019-8? shared via @News24

  18. "It also had some limitations, however: Researchers didn't compare people who'd smoked against people who did not, for example, and the results varied pretty dramatically among the participants, which could mean it's still too early to come up with an objective numerical figure for "impaired" cannabis use." Device is useless unless there is an objective legislated number based on scientific evidence. The way I understand it, it's too bad even in California marijuana is still federally illegal therefore they cannot perform sponsored third party studies in order to find what that number is.

  19. I like to take pretty large cuttings... 15-20cm even... Cuttings take fastest from healthy branches. Depending on growth rate... The stems can be softer rather than woody. But in the bubble cloner, everything will root in time

  22. No, end goal is to keep her in pot... Next grow will be in the ground fully outdoor.

  23. I prefer softer stems, generally where I take my cuttings from the stems are softer and smaller anyways.

  24. So when you take cuttings again, give this a try - even if it is only on some and not all of them. Put the cuttings straight into some tap water, leave it for 12 - 24 hours (not longer) and then put your cloning powder / gel on and then into the eazy plugs / jiffies / soil / bubble cloner etc. DO NOT cover them with a humidity dome but keep them in your veg area. You will not have to baby them, they will not flop down and will root pretty easily. I am now using a bubble cloner, I much prefer it over jiffy pellets and rapid rooters and soil. I like that I can watch and see when there are roots and it's super easy, no maintenance required at all. Just put them in and leave them until roots have formed then plant them. I created a thread where I built my bubble cloner, it's really easy and not all that expensive. My success rate has been super high. So far the only cuttings I had to throw away were the 4 corners on in my bubble cloner - when I tested it I realized there were not enough bubbles getting to the corners and then 1 cutting I took from a plant which was very unhappy. I did not take good care of the cutting either so it was tossed. The rest have all taken or are still alive. That is over 36 cuttings so far.

  26. I have my cuttings in my veg tent, I find it is the easiest as the RH is higher so it helps. I don't use a dome anymore, just makes the cuttings "weak" and they rely on you babying them then. My cuttings are on an 18/6 cycle, no issues. I doubt 24/0 makes them root faster.

  27. There's 2 answers to that question : TECHNICAL : 1: Any light that leaks into your budding section will cause plants to have a delay on the flowering or if you have a finicky strain it might not start flowering or get a bitch fit and hermie.... I know hermie gets thrown around a lot but it's there and not something you want dangle some light in front off. COMMON ANSWER : 2. Don't worry to much about it. I have grown outdoors with some light from a security light giving a slight hue with no ill effect. You do need to check your plants and see if any part of the plants are growing different than others that is more darkened. Is there no way to seal it off. I know they sell allimuniun tape at builders etc that you can use and still have reflection. I hang towels over my tent to make double sure that no light gets in when lights are off. 28. Good evening brother my apologies as I did not include the autos last night, I should be able to rectify that ya bear with me....haha Day19/ 25/819 They are in the same soil mix as the girls in the previous post but not showing any signs of burning, feeding is the same as above just in lesser quantities.. The auto bottom right of the pic is my only suspected male of the bunch so far and reason I say that is the new growth that is pushing out resembles a artichoke and I'd put balls on a block it's a male....haha The rest are all carrying on hunky dory, I'm expecting great things of the green crack as that was rather nice smoke and the black cream which kills it in the fruity smell department, smoke wise was also very enjoyable... Im hoping to get a fine specimen of a male hopefully a nice tall sturdy structure to him and sprinkle some mustard on a branch each of the 2 above girls... Will be repotting the 2 into 20lt fabric in the near future I just want them to get their legs underneath them first. Have a blessed evening and a irie week going forward....

  32. Day34/ 24/8/19 I up-potted all seedlings into 5lt bags for the interim and I'll be topping all and make clones out of the tops, they pushing out the 6th set and I'll wait till the tenth befor I consider topping them. Meduim is 50% coco/perlite and 25/25 compost and earthworm castings and amendments, I got a slight burn on some girls but nothing to worry about thankfully.. fed with 25ml kelpak, 25ml biobzz, 25ml soluble silicon and 25ml amino mix per 20lt, never used the last 3 before but the noticeable spurt in growth is immediately noticeable as you'll see in the one stem shot....

  33. Okay so because this will sorta be Perpetual... Not in the sense that I will have one tea and keep it alive... But I will be regularly making teas, my aim is one a week to super beef up my gardens biolife, but we will see how it goes! I have one on the go now, so let me give you a few pics. First one is the day I mixed all the ingredients, and the 2nd Pic is the teeming micro life on the compost sock. I will be up pretty early tomorrow to water it on my ladies, and my little veggie patch... And the rest of my garden. 18l of this vortex brew is enough for an entire farm!!! I'll be using it in quite a bit less diluted... Pretty much full strength

  34. Those are just pistils, does not mean she is flowering. If just outside, she will continue to veg until next year sometime when the hours of daylight become less.

  35. Pic 1 and 2 cant tell, resolution is poor internodal spacing is still even, possibly indicating that the plant is not sexually mature yet-wait for them to show. Pic 3 and 4 looks def like pistils- female. Pic 5 might be pistils coming through. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  36. Day 72 / Day 20 of flower So I took some photos last night after doing a light defoliation to remove some leaves which were stopping light from reaching bud sites and after a nice watering. Finally, some proper updates of each plant. Bagseed: Bruce Banner: CBD Critical Mass: GDP: GSC: Chocolope: Then below are some pics of the plants in the tent, they're really crammed inside there. Having 6 in that small space is not ideal I feel it will affect my yields. Especially without a scrog net - next time I would like to use my scrog net, I have an idea now on how to water the ones in the back with the scrog net. Also I took measurements of two of my tallest plants. CBD Critical Mass: Bruce Banner:

  37. I agree 100%, that scrog is looking tops. The canopy is extremely uniform. I really need to use my scrog net next time!

  40. Haven't updated in a while... Snipped the older fan leaves as it had brown spots and started curling... New growth going good for now... Not sure if it was a PH issue or nutes as I'm using tap water... Also forgot to take pics of those I snipped but progress nonetheless as some more sunny days seemed to arrive

  44. @Nikkel keep an eye out if it is a girl you will see white hairs coming out of a spear shaped calyx. (like the picture below) Best to wait if you see spear shaped instead of little balls.

  46. Will do Sir! Weather in Cape Town been crappy the past week so they went into my homemade grow box under W10 and W15 LED lights... Put them out this morning as we getting a couple of days of sun by the looks of things.

  47. Also if you are doing a hydroponic/coco grow the calmag takes up a chunk of the target EC/ppm, esp for seedlings. I use a lower than suggested amount of calmag to fertigate and then do a folia spray daily. So far I've seen no Ca/Mg deficiency issues.
