Day 86 / Day 34 of Flower An update on the remaining plants, pics were taken last night. If you want updates on the Chocolope, head over to my Indoor Grow Off thread. Girl Scout Cookies (Thin Mint) x Bruce Banner #3: Lots of bud sites here, canopy turned out really nicely. Needs to start fattening up Seedsman CBD Critical Mass: I have a bit of a soft spot for this plant and have since the beginning. Really eager to try some of the bud, meant to be a 1:1 ratio of THC : CBD although potency is on the lower side at around 8% Not a lot of bud sites but the colas are well sized and are starting to fatten up. Smell is getting good, very pleasant although very different compared to the Bag Seed. Bruce Banner #3: Tall plant and looking a little lanky still, although I have no doubt she will start filling out and fattening up nicely soon. From the same batch of seeds which @Master_G has been growing, his are a bit older and looking superb! The Bruce Banner also has this double, or perhaps triple budsite mutation which looks cool and makes the bud a bit fatter - curious to see what happens towards harvest time and how much of a size difference there is etc. Grandaddy Purple x Bruce Banner #3 There is a grape scented pheno which I hope I have, although so far it is not looking that way. There is still a bit of time though. @Master_G and @greenkush have ended up with this pheno from the batch of seeds, hoping I am not left out. haha Above the canopy: Below the canopy:

So I guess I should do an update, right? Pollen certainly took, it seems as if the seeds are starting to form and the bud is fattening up too on the Daquari Lime auto. As for the Charlottes Angel, still no signs of flowering... So I took a few cuttings and popped them into my bubble cloner. They're getting seriously bushy, I did not take any pics of the Charlottes Angel. I also stopped with the STS spray on the Charlottes Angel as I am not seeing any pistils and would like some bud formation before I get some pollen.

@iHigh , as @CreX said the new growth is important & the fact that its healthy means that ur not in dire straights. BUT if its a Mg def, Mg is mobile, so it will always start on the lower leaves & work its way up the plant so new growth is not the only indicator you need to look at. with the floracoco series, they add in extra calmag so you dont have to, so i'm guessing that you have an excess which is causing a calmag lockout & perhaps other micro nutes too. Your coco comes pre-buffered with some nutes so buffering is not needed, so its not that either. What i would do if i were you: flush completely, about 30L per pot, add 150ppm calmag to the flush water. drop your ph at the same time to 5.8(this will help with uptake). then stop using calmag, switch it for epsom @150ppm and add your nutes at 1/2 recommended strength, then slowly increase again until your plants are happy af. if you're still in veg, i would also do a 150ppm calmag foliar spray, or if you can get your hands on, kelpak, use that, dont spray during flower.

It is the light cycle which forces the plants to flower, not the spectrum. However the plant wants more red spectrum during flowering, so a warm white is more beneficial compared to a neutral or cool white. I would get rid of those CFL's if it were my grow. Are the rest of the lights LED's with one reptile heater globe? Kelpak is more for seedlings, I wouldn't use it on larger plants. Multigro, sounds like a general nutrient mixture and not one specifically for flowering. I do not know what those EHG nutrients are like though, I have not looked into either of them although I'd probably consider giving those a go considering the one states it is for bloom so should be higher in Phosphorus and Potassium. i make a R20 CO2 generator (not the prettiest but by far the cheapest), cup of sugar, packet of yeast, 2 empty coke bottles & some surgical tubing. One gets ro water with sugar & yeast, other gets plain tap water. tap water is to filter gases from the yeast bottle & seperate the alcohol from the CO2. the long pipe below can be attached to the back of a fan to enrich the air in a tent or you have the pipes hanging above the plants pouring CO2 over them like rain in a larger space. Trust if you want your canopy to fill out quickly, add CO2. The problem with not adding CO2, is that at about 600W+ your plants cant use all that light without CO2. I've always seen positive results from adding co2 into a grow, its not going to hurt them, it can only benefit, unless you suffocate them, which you shouldnt if you have decent circulation.

So CO2 allows the plant to make use of more light, that is how it works. It can also be useful as it can help reduce pest issues as they generally need air and co2 will cause them to suffocate. In order for CO2 to be cost effective, the room needs to be able to fully seal so the CO2 does not escape. I think this is where most people struggle if you are on a budget - which most of us are. If the room is fully sealed then you could easily end up with heat issues due to no extraction of warm air (even from LED's, in a tent it can make a difference for sure). Also you need certain equipment for CO2 which locally can be rather expensive. A couple of thousands. I have never given it a try, currently not very set on trying CO2 although that may change sometime in the future. Will have to see.

For co2 to be effective to get the extra 20%, your grow really has to be in pristine shape... If any of your variables are out, the co2 becomes almost useless. You have to make sure your grow is air tight... Temps on point... Humidity in point, nute levels on point... Lighting needs to be on point... Also, measuring equipment is very expensive and you can overdo it and damage your plants, and yourself, so some kind of control is vital. There are some cool cheap ways to introduce co2, like those natural co2 bottles you shake... Urban naturals or something... But to be brutal bro... Unless all your other variables are in place... And on point... You will not get the added 20%...or possibly anything extra... And then you would have wasted some cash

Evening fellow greenfingers. Our Sourdiesels are coming along nicely (1-4) despite an attempt by some ''worms'' to get a free lunch. Smoked them with some CO2 and will follow up with some 'Bacillus Thuringiensis' for good measure. The Mangokush (5-6) seems to be more resistant to pests (thank f#$k[emoji28]) and is showing good colours on the trichs. Fruity, sweet and frosty goodness. About 1/4 way through gg#4. Sure is sticky, need some gloves... and new scissors... Shouldn't complain, but what I consider one of the most endearing properties of this plant, namely that lovely coating of crystal, is proving a tad inconvenient.

I am growing in coco/autopot with GHE nutes. I had a cal/mag issue - which you can see in the first 2 pics. I extra dosed cal/mag and it seems to have receded . Now I am getting burn on the edges of my leaves, and a slight leaf curl. it, I tried looking it up, and come up with a potassium deficiency ??

I'd say remove the CFL's, keep the LED's. Save on electricity. Even those smaller "globe" LED's, not sure how effective those are. If it were my grow, I would probably just use the blurple LED's.

I've not seen that in a while . I used to do that for aquarium plants. It worked ok-ish there. (Issues were output consistency, short lifespan and no way to switch off at lights out) Does it work well for a grow room? I'd be a little surprised if it does that well. With aquariums you'd target around 30ppm CO2, atmospheric CO2 isaround 300-400ppm. Thats a big difference. But I have no real idea not having tried it. But if you are going to try this I'd make a few suggestions Try use a good brewers yeast. They produce CO2 for longer since they are less worried about the alcohol levels Google "long lasting diy co2 generator". There are recipes that use molasses / marmite / protein formulas. When I was doing DIY CO2 a mix like that nearly doubled the time the yeast would produce CO2 In aquariums the second bottle is to stop yeast getting into the tank (the pipe should be in the water for that to work ideally). Perhaps optional for a tent?

One of the reasons why this forum is awesome. Ingenuity. Very clever and cost effective method to produce CO2. Slow release as well, so no need for regulators. Could easily be upsized. And if you had a still..... Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

pipe goes from Y bottle to TW bottle, pipe sits at about 1cm below the cap in the Y bottle, other end goes into TW bottle & the end should sit about 10cm below the line of the water, the pipe that leads out of the TW bottle, sits abt 1 cm below the cap & can be as long as you like, but shorter is better. i put about a litre in each bottle, & make the RO water abt 30deg C to activate the yeast & dissolve sugar. then change the contents every 2 weeks or so. I could work it out, but i got it a few years ago from a grower who did the maths & he reckoned one of those are good with 600W, so i add them accordingly, i've only seen rapid improvement when adding them so i've never felt the need to do the maths. its about 360ml/hour +-, but you measure co2 in ppm, which i cant do. i know optimum levels at about 700ppm is ideal & will increase growth by up to 40% when maintained at that level & at a higher temp. take it or leave it, i personally found it adds a lot to the grow

@Kgrows That is cool, I wonder how much CO2 you get from there and how effective it is? So none of the pipe go into the tap water? How much water goes into the Sugar & yeast bottle?

nice first grow! you really do have green fingers that GD purp (one of my fav strains) (edit, i see its the BB that has mutation not the GDP), has a highly sought after polyploid mutation, same thing that makes master kush, master kush! just beware budrot & WPM, because they are so big & dense they are susceptible.

Yesterday's wind almost ripped her apart lol! Will leave her inside as the wind is nasty in Cape Town today as well... She got her afro puff perm back this morning. Will transplant her to 20l grow bag this weekend...otherwise all good.

Mix between nutriplex and 'advanced' nutrients. As long as new growth is happy... I would just keep an eye on the affected leaves. That ppm seems a touch high I feel. What is the base ppm from the nutrients?

Using RO water, ppm about 20, been adding 3-5 teaspoons of cal/mag ( powder ) into about 40L reservoir.Total ppm is about 1800 . PH is 6.0, and using GHE FloraCoco with Atami coco ( which I didnt dose initially with cal/mag - idiot )

Sup man, It would seem as though the issue is still the magnesium... I had a similar situation happen to me not long ago in my hydro... I had my plants start exhibiting mag defs on the lover leaves... So I also extra dosed them with calmag. The plants growth resumed and flourished... But about a week to 2 weeks after... All my leaves on one plant had major magnesium def symptoms!! I was flabbergasted as to what the actual fuck is happening... But new growth was beautiful... And still pretty explosive... So I left it as is. So tell me... How is your new growth? Another note, the older leaves will never heal... Always refer to new growth as an indication of plant happiness

I completely forgot about this thread, sorry. She is the the first of my indoor plants to show signs of budding. Will try to upload some better pics of whole plant, she is beautiful. All her clones took super easy and fast, i just cut and put them straight to soil, little over a week roots started showing.

Day 83 / Day 31 of Flower So a half-assed update, plants are all looking great. I snapped some pics of my Bag seed - so far I think I will be keeping her and am glad I took cuttings. Such a sweet and fruity smell too. Although the proof will be in the pudding after harvesting and curing her, she is flowering really nicely and tons of trichomes! Best I start thinking of a name, although once again it may need to wait until I have harvested and can sample her. I will make a plan to snaps some pics of the other plants too, but I gotta take them out to do so which is quite a mission.

Flowering : Week 9 Started taking down the gg#4. I think I'll be trying to make some bubble hash. Never had this much frosting.

Flowering : Week 8 (last week) Bit late, but better than never. Moved the lights up to accommodate the chocolope. Probably start harvesting soon, really need the space.

Awesome man!! Nothing compares to my HPS ballasts though... I'm generally unable to touch that shit
