So the fade is starting on some of the plants: Tropicana FF: GDP, note that the GDP had a fan blowing directly on it and I suspect that is the cause of the curled leaves. Looks ugly but I'd rather have air circulation in my tent. Bruce Banner: Nothing from the GSC or CBD Critical Mass yet.4 points

After a quick test I did, and ingredients list between hortimix and Nutriplex, my findings are that you would need about a kilo of each hortimix powder to reach a concentration close to the bottled nutrients... Which puts the bottles nutes at a marginally better price in my opinion... But let's see how long the hortimix lasts and what kind of results I get.3 points

Consider an automated watering system. Will make life easier. Defoliation only happens around 2 or 3 times during flowering. I'm keen to try a scrog sometime. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk2 points

I probably sounds like a stuck record but remove all the leafs that doesn't get light and those buds hiding in the bottom, remove them. They are just energy suckers. I leave some on so that I can have testers later on though [emoji16]. Defoliating plants is like the 12-1 / lantern grow method. People say no to the unknown but I am not one of those types and I said yes and did it. And my plants is now in week 6 flowering on the method and they look fucking great. Except for the slight rootbound but next run I'm going with bigger pots...... Argh there I go again sorry. Summory, go with what your head and heart says, try it and you won't be disappointed. If not just remove some of the bigger leafs covering bud sites Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk2 points

Hi everyone I wish you all well today. so I have just completed my first grow I’m still pretty noob and I grew in potting soil mixed with bonemeal and fed moderate amounts of seagro most of the until closer to the end as I could now see the bonemeal burning them. I never used any flowering nutrients thinking the bonemeal would provide enough of the P, I wasn’t happy with the bud sizes ( I’ll post a pic ) I saw some EHG nutrients on growguru site it sounds ‘ amazing ‘ as most are trying to market there product but before I go ahead and purchase the A, B, micro kit I would like everyone’s opinions on the matter, I’ll be using it in coco only grow next ( I’m revenging the same plant, time wreck) and putting it in a scrog this time, but after that I want to do DWC so would it be possible for those nutes to cover me through a coco and dwc grow ? Incase this info is relevant I’m using 10x 15w LED bulbs @2700k 1520 lumens each. thanks ! ps I posted a pic of the nutes im referring to, aswell as a few bud shots1 point

Well you need to try flush too. Also different strains take different times to flower. Most hybrid indica strains are around 9 weeks flowering time. Sativas can take around 3 - 4 weeks longer. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

Looks like a while still to me from what I can see. How long has she been flowering for? Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk1 point

@Smelly Joe i did the scrog net and to be honest im seriously considering not doing it again. As @Spaceman mentioned, it get hard to get to all the spots, cant take them out, i just think it makes maintaining ur plants much harder, i suppose if u got enough space then its not a problem. For next grow in looking at individual trellis for each plant, those round ones. Dont get me wrong, the scrogg net does wonders for keeping ur canopy even, but wont work for my next upgrade i got planned.1 point

Yeah, I think Hortimix may be cheaper. So rather just get some Hortimix then.1 point

Lol dude at the shop told me its basically Hortimix with food coloring.1 point

Yield does not look terrible. I think the EHG nutes are similar to Hortimix nutes which I have heard good things about and it's really well priced! If you wanted to increase yield and quality, I'd suggest using nutes and not just relying on the soil and bonemeal for nutrition and consider upgrading your lights at some point.1 point

I do not feel as if the early defoliation's had any negative effect on the plants, I do feel that the delay in doing the last defoliation of the large fan leaves had a negative effect on the plants. The bottom buds did not fill out as much.1 point

@420F0R3V3R generally id think that well grown bud you grow yourself would probably be better and more potent then what you could get off the streets with some exceptions. Its handled less so less trichs fall off and you control the curing process you have no idea what the bud you buy has gone through it could have been left in the boot of a car for a week you wont know. Don't worry I'm new too still no scale also lol.1 point
-
@SneakyDave thanks sneaky dave I’m new at this not even a scale yet, I put my timewreck in jars today for curing didn’t get as much as I hoped hence I want to try better nutes and better training, I tried a dried non cured bud and I was kinda blown away by the potency, it’s a 24% thc strain but I’m not sure if I grew it at that level it’s capable of with only seagro and bonemeal but really looking forward to trying to pull more in my indoor stealth closet space more to come in the future!!1 point

@Jimmy-zthank you I’ve written that down as I wouldn’t of know how many parts per mill to use so start slow and move up. @CreXthanks for your reply and you have some great thought I will start a journal once I figure out this forum I did I fact take weekly pics of my last grow but I’ll rather start a fresh one here and reply to your last 2 questions, im using 10x Luceco 15watt LED, 2700K, 1520 lumens, and I cut the plastic bulb part off, so 150watts and 15200 lumens in that small space and yes I have this other side of my closet that I will be using with a scrog (will make a scrog coco diary ) I’ll send a pic so you can get a feel for the space. It’s dimensions are 76cmL 54cmB 1.7m H. In the pic is the revegging plant I have my screen ready for the scrog just waiting for her to reveg it will take about 3 more weeks and the baby cheese plant is an experiment with wick passive hydro i would like to apologize as I haven’t figured out how to reply as a pose to making a whole new comment.1 point

i love how you defoliate the kak out of those plants !!!! so gona do the same next light flip!! great grow man!1 point
-
Nice man!! Maybe start a grow diary and we can give some super tips as you go along. What are the lights you are using? And do you have space to increase your grow area?1 point

Always best to start slow. I started with a ppm of 150 & gradually increased it to around 1000. Also, don't let the grow & micro mix before you add it to your reservoir. You might get a white precipitate that doesn't dissolve. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk1 point
-
I used it in my very first soil & autopot grow. Works very well & you can add a lot before it burns your plants. I would suggest getting a ppm/ec meter to properly monitor your nutrient concentration if you dont already have one. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk1 point

Day 107 / Day 55 of Flower A quick update, some pics I took this morning before the lights came on. Tropicana FF: Bruce Banner - I had to rest the branches against the side of the tent as they are falling over: GDP: GSC, some pistils are starting to brown as well: Might as well do an update on my Chocolope if anyone is not following that grow diary. The pistils are also starting to brown:1 point

Just keep an eye out for any more leaves doing that as that does look like a K def or possibly P def. Deficiencies start from the bottom of the plant and move up.1 point

@Smelly Joe I just messed around with topping, scrogging and some other stuff, because like I said it is not proper genetics and I actually just wanted to see if I could get the plants to grow and flower and learn at the same time - although I must say I wouldn’t mind to take a clone of my Indica, that plant just looks awesome and fat - I even split her stem in half at the knuckle where it was topped and “fixed” it with duct tape - worked like a charm and so I learned something1 point
-
@Smelly Joe - I am pretty much on that train as well and defoliated a lot, but with the 2 SCROG nets up it is very difficult to get into all the spaces (small 4 x 4 tent) and I cannot remove the nets as the plants have grown “into” them - this is my first grow as mentioned and I just used seeds that I had in a jar - turned out 2 of them are proper sativa and now I am running out of space - the 3rd plant is a nice fat indica and I am super stoked with the way it is turning out. Planning on doing some Gorilla Glue Autos on my next run1 point

Day 102 / Day 50 of Flower So I started flushing my plants and did a flush with Florakleen on these babies. They are all 8 / 9 week flowering plants so should be ready for harvest around the same time. I snapped some pics while flushing them, excuse the poor picture quality but the lighting was not ideal and I was trying to get the flushing done as quickly as possible. GSC: Bagseed / Tropicana FF: GDP: Bruce Banner #3: CBD Critical Mass: All the ladies back into their tent, RH is going to sky rocket I am sure. The soil is holding a looot of water still. They're heavy AF!1 point

Day 100 / Day 48 So tomorrow will mark exactly 7 weeks since I started flowering these ladies. All is going well, I am getting excited as harvest time is just around the corner. Getting a bit lazy with taking pics as I cannot see too much of a difference anymore, hopefully all the bud start to fatten up even more over the next 2 weeks. I took a look at the trichomes on most of the plants and still not much amber, if any at all. Lots of clear and cloudy trichomes. I gave the plants plain PH'd water tonight, no more nutes. This weekend I will start flushing properly and most likely harvest within the next 2 weeks, perhaps 3 weeks at a push. Will monitor the plants and trichomes and judge when to harvest. The three at the back, starting from left to right we have: CBD Critical Mass, Bruce Banner, Grandaddy Purple x BB Then upclose with the Bruce Banner's polyploid, the stem looks quite different too. Reminds me of those thin, flat cables (HDMI, ethernet or USB) as it is not round. I have had to support some of the branches of the Bruce Banner as the weight of the bud is pulling them down and they're toppling over. I will be honest. I forgot to take pictures of the rest... Kinda got distracted midway through watering the plants and taking pics. Whoops.1 point

Blue cheese 1 dried and cured @ 80g Last lady of this cycle is the Mazar, I have just moved her to my dark tent. EDIT: Mazar is day 108 today.1 point

Tally up... Herewith final results, rounded down cause still slightly damp and kitchen scale. I like my flowers dried until that last point of springiness before it crumbles. Calibration White Widow (2 plants) = 160g Super Silver Haze (1 plant) = 80g Super Lemon Haze (2 plants) = 130g Gorilla Glue # 4 (1 plant) = 180g Blue Kush (2 plants) = 130g Over 600g, not bad for spur of the moment flower with ragtag collection of clones (taken 4 weeks into flower) and dubious heritage seeds. Stash is replenished, allowing for a more experimental environment. That's all folks, thanks for following along. Next up is cookies (gs & sherbet), seeds imported from Nirvana NL.1 point

Day 97 / Day 45 of Flower (Midway through week 6 of flowering) So a very brief update, just on the one plant. My bagseed which @Master_G has temporarily named Tropicana FF - its fruity AF and the it looks as if you will get face fucked (FF) after smoking some with all the trichomes on the bud. I have no clue how long the Tropicana FF normally takes to flower, looks like a heavy indica so I will probably flush this weekend and monitor trichomes and harvest accordingly. I will probably use Florakleen to help with the flush. As far as I understand, it's basically an empty chelate (think of it like a claw) and binds to the nutrients to either make it unavailable to the plant and/or help push the nutrients out of the soil. I think most of my plants will be harvested around a similar time, so will most likely start flushing my plants around the same time. Will take a closer look this weekend. Bud is looking great and smelling superb. The Bruce Banner has some colour coming through too. Not even from the bottom (fattest) part of the main cola: To help give you an idea of the size of the other colas:1 point
