Morning All, I am new to growing and I am not a smoker. Sounds wacky but I am more interested in growing for pleasure and relaxation. I am a very keen gardener. It is an interesting plant. Sadly I just planted 7 seeds of which 1 died and the rest are not good seeds. Either they are old seeds but planted seeds before and have always been successful. I purchased them from a seed bank in CT. I shan't give their names as they cannot be blamed and i like the people there. Just purchased different cheeses and will see how I do. Take care.4 points

Hello, I was really looking for a forum just to ask if anyone has any experience with freebie seeds from www.bongify.nl because I am not ure if I should put any time and effort into growing them. But now looking at this forum it all looks very interesting and I might stay around for longer ( not that I have anythig better to do, so why not...) Hope I can add some value, I know nothing about growing yet but I have been smoking for over 20 years, so if anyone has any questions I will do my best to help!!2 points

So the fade is starting on some of the plants: Tropicana FF: GDP, note that the GDP had a fan blowing directly on it and I suspect that is the cause of the curled leaves. Looks ugly but I'd rather have air circulation in my tent. Bruce Banner: Nothing from the GSC or CBD Critical Mass yet.2 points

Great bro!! Welcome and welcome!! I have not heard of those seeds before, but maybe someone else will be able to help... Do they have a name? Have you collected seeds of any of your greatest smokes? If not, doesn't matter... You are in the right place for new genetics that are tried and tested! Stuck around.. Don't be shy... Our goal is to be chilled ouens... And to grow fat dank! So if you are in... Be prepared for a great ride Start a grow diary and we can take it from there2 points

Today is day 7 since my seeds went into the pots. I started off by placing the seeds in some wet toilet paper, the seeds sprouted within 24hrs. Once the seeds sprouted they were added to the pots and it took them 3 days to break the surface, once they broke the surface they were placed in my grow room and have since been there for 7 days. The plants are currently under some 300w cob flood lights at 6500k. I'm running them on a 18/6 light cycle currently. Potting medium used was an organic potting soil mixed with vermiculite and perlite. I then added some bone meal and bio ocean fertilizer and mixed it all together. I have used 20L buckets as pots. I drilled holes all over the bottom of the buckets and about 3-4cm up the sides then added some stones at a depth of about 5cm, stones used were some pretty white smooth stones my wife had lying around . My grow room is approximately 1.5w x 2.5L x 1.6m high. For reflective medium I covered my walls with space blankets, yip the stuff that medics and undertakers use, it work out pretty affordable at R22 a space blanket . Size of the space blankets is approximately 2m x 1.2 m so pretty good value. The strain I chose for my first grow is the blimburn BLUE DREAM. I was pretty impressed to see all 3 seeds pop but being new to the growing hobby I killed one of the seeds by packing it to hard when I inserted it into the pots, lesson learned . Over all I'm pretty chuffed with my progress so far. Any criticism or advice is welcome. Happy farming!1 point

Yea! Microbe teas are awesome! It can be a bit daunting at first, but you will definitely see the benifit fast. Take a look at the organic growing section of the forum... There are lots of great tips there... And I have a grow diary called teas teas teas... If you can I would do a bit of your own googling as there is quite a bit of info on teas and their benifits... More so on the teas ingredient list... That's the magic right there.1 point

Was wondering who's fabric pots everyone is using I know there is Mantis , Freedom , Gorilla & Plantmatter and probably a-lot more I have not mentioned Currently I am using Plantmatter's bags and super happy choose them because of them looking so stylish in my view and they were slight bit cheaper . So whats your reason for your choice ?1 point

Its all good. I have 8 Mothers whom I clone from. I grow indoors and just have begun outdoors. I began growing in April 2019. I have had such fun growing. These seeds are the first time that I have had such a bad experience. Ordered more seeds but from Overseas. I may not even get them as so much happens in SA postal services. I am really very new to this. I became very interested when my gardener planted a pip in my garden last year October. I watched as this plant grew to over 2.5 metres. A friend took the flowers off me in May. So began my journey. I had a good in doors crop last month. Thank you for all your help young man.1 point

GDP looking nice, curled leaves definitely probably because of the wind blowing directly on it. That one Bruce Banner bud looks almost alien, right at the bottom of the last picture of your last post. Your trichome production is off the charts. I imagine the way in which you structured your plants and defoliated much of the bottom allowed the plants to really focus on the main bud sites. Totally agreed on this. I experienced similar in my last grow and at first I had thought I had defoliated too much, but I ended up with some insane sized buds and decent trichome production. I rate defoliation is absolutely an art of its own, it really makes a difference if done correctly. Still figuring out the sweet spot myself.1 point

Hello Vanessa, This forum is awesome for trouble shooting as there are many experienced growers, growing in a variety of mediums and circumstances. That said you need to give us a bit more info on your grow as cannabis can be finicky sometimes. And you do get dud seeds. 1. Strain if known 2. Germination method 3. Indoor/outdoor 4. Grow Medium 5. Watering schedule 6. Nutrients Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk1 point

It's an organic pesticide I sprayed on the plants. It's actually a powder. Just a light spray really. Sent from my SM-G970F using Tapatalk1 point

They look healthy and it doesn't seem as if the mulch layer bothered them a single bit. It probably helped with dropping the seed hat. It will surely keep the ladies cool with this warmer weather we are having Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk1 point

Day 100 / Day 48 So tomorrow will mark exactly 7 weeks since I started flowering these ladies. All is going well, I am getting excited as harvest time is just around the corner. Getting a bit lazy with taking pics as I cannot see too much of a difference anymore, hopefully all the bud start to fatten up even more over the next 2 weeks. I took a look at the trichomes on most of the plants and still not much amber, if any at all. Lots of clear and cloudy trichomes. I gave the plants plain PH'd water tonight, no more nutes. This weekend I will start flushing properly and most likely harvest within the next 2 weeks, perhaps 3 weeks at a push. Will monitor the plants and trichomes and judge when to harvest. The three at the back, starting from left to right we have: CBD Critical Mass, Bruce Banner, Grandaddy Purple x BB Then upclose with the Bruce Banner's polyploid, the stem looks quite different too. Reminds me of those thin, flat cables (HDMI, ethernet or USB) as it is not round. I have had to support some of the branches of the Bruce Banner as the weight of the bud is pulling them down and they're toppling over. I will be honest. I forgot to take pictures of the rest... Kinda got distracted midway through watering the plants and taking pics. Whoops.1 point

The tCheck if nice if you want to make edibles and want some sort of consistency or want an idea about the potency of your bud. Ultimately, I feel it is a must have for people making edibles if they want consistency. I'd love to have one, very nifty device. Although even at the discounted price of R7600, still a bit steep as for me it would just be a "cool toy" mostly. I don't make many edibles and don't need to know the potency of my buds.1 point

Nowhere near as accurate, but then you're talking about a 4k device vs 500K+. If you're looking for guaranteed analysis, then UPLC is the way to go.1 point

Welcome. Why not source seeds locally? There are many local seed vendors who stock international seeds. @Sacred Seeds is one of them and they are a vendor on the site, I have personally ordered from him before and had no issues. There are many more though, Sacred Seeds is just one of the many local seed vendors.1 point

Thank you I shall. Not sure if I should leave these sick looking plants or turf them away. I am so devastated. Not because of my loss of money but because I feel so sorry fro them.0 points
