  1. Has anybody had any experience with NAFS in having tested their isolate? Or any other test lab for that matter?

  2. Day 120 / Day 68 of Flower (just over midway through week 9 of flower) These are not all 8 / 9 week strains. In fact none are considering none are ready. It seems as if the GSC and Chocolope will be taking longer to ripen, the CBD Critical Mass I am unsure of but has a hectic fade going already. I'd rather wait a bit longer as I want to make sure I get a decent amount of CBD from it. I will check the trichomes this Friday evening if I get a chance, otherwise on Saturday and hopefully I can at least chop one or two of the plants. I had a whoopsie last weekend where I bent the one branch on the Tropicana, so I decided to cut it and dry it. It's busy curing at the moment. A few pics of the ladies, not the best but at least you get an idea on how things are progressing.

  3. Hello folks. I'm the WC regional rep/transport manager/storeman/cleaner/technician and tea boy for a small company supplying speciality automation components. Occasional chooffer, father of two wonderful adult children, husband of one sometimes happy wife. I like to do a bit of carpentry and am an aspiring blacksmith of 5 years. Love Yamaha SR500's and beer. Roll my own smokes with a mix of commercial and organic tobacco. Hoping to learn a bit about growing some plants. Total experience is watering my mate's outdoor babies when he was in hospital for two weeks. Thanks for having me.

  5. Yo yo!! Iv had great results using a fishtank heater to heat a bucket of water in my garage. Humidity went up past 40 for the whole garage, I'm sure it would work like a charm in a tent. You have any fishtank heaters?

  7. In terms of soil, I have had success with seedlings straight into the following soil: Organics Matter Living Soil Freedom Farms Organic Soil Freedom Farms Germination MIx The Culterra Germination mix also works, but, I am not a big fan and you would want to repot it very shortly after it has sprouted. The Organics Matter living soil can be a little compact for some seedlings, easy way to avoid this is to put a jiffy pellet in the soil and the seed into the jiffy pellet - although I have not experienced issues with the soil being too compact, I know others have. I generally try and avoid the soils from the nurseries as they just look disappointing. I'd rather spend a bit more and know the soil is great! Your plant spends its whole life in soil and gets a lot of nutrients from the soil and the soil needs to be well balanced to ensure optimal air and water retention and so forth.

  8. Glad the seedling is forming new roots, similar to a cutting in a way considering the main taproot has died. It is nice to have a mix of seedlings and larger plants when vegging as the larger plants help keep the RH up.

  10. @Dank Thanks for the advice I will definitely try this, also the seedlings are sort of behind the bigger plants so the fan doesn't hit them too hard

  12. No, her... Only females make bud and only females will make seeds. Males only give you pollen, which then needs to get onto the females in order for seeds to be created. So I had 2x female autos, I then sprayed the one with STS which is a chemical which suppresses (stops) the production of ethylene which leads to the female plant growing pollen sacs (similar to a hermie, but not due to stress - it's due to the chemicals). Then take that pollen from the plant and use it on the other, untouched female plant, which is what you see above. I then killed the plant I had sprayed with STS, it becomes useless as I wouldn't use the bud as Sts is very toxic and I already have pollen and don't want the rest of my females to become pollinated. Once a plant has been pollinated, its focus becomes the seeds and not so much the bud and trichomes. So yield decreases and potency too. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  16. The cape medallion makes a great hot sauce that has all the flavor but almost none of the burn. Great for those that dont like the heat.

  17. I regard myself an experienced sauce taster. just sounds fancy for the most part and most of my friends who are chefs kinda forces you to know your thing in the kitchen. Besides eating chilli sauce with everything, there is a terrible desire to always want to taste a better sauce. Flavour is fine, but the different kinds of spiciness adds to this sensory phenomenon. So I found myself sampling sauces and later crafting my own. Where it led me to start growing my own chillies since the sauce started picking up in demand. Nothing fucks you up worse than the burning after a night of prepping for fermentation and you didnt wear gloves. 3days minimum of 👁 scratching and skin tearing pain. I wouldnt advise the chilli life to the thin of skin.

  21. Whats good everyone! Due to some really shocking germination rates this diary is up a lot later than i would've liked! Plenty left to document though. After being super excited to run some Mephisto Genetics it was really heart breaking when only 2/7 seeds germinated & one happens to be a mutant... Mephisto Mutant (Freedom Farms) All was well until about day 4 when i noticed she wasn't pushing through a 2nd node Day 8, still left with no sign of a 2nd node. Now 14 days in, she is showing some movement on the second node! She is currently showing some really bad calmag deficiency so in the next couple days i will be feeding her some salt based nutrients (Calmag, polyfeed)
