I think that is a very nice tip for these fat indica type of beans. I will be sure to do some scuffing on the beans when I pop some staunch indica hybrids. The power contained within a seedling is quite a lot, given enough time in the soil they usually bust that hard shell open. Some seeds (not sure about weed) have enough atmospheric pressure to germ and crack cement. You are off to a wonderful start man, thanks for the updates, happy growing!

Will be growing three plants, each one in a different medium, i.e. Just Cannabis, Freedom Farms & The Grow Station. Would have liked to grow more than one plant per medium but money and space is limited. Seeds were soaked for 24H and planted today in 1.5l pots with FF Seedstarter. Although both JC & TGS states that their soil is good from seed to harvest, I don't want to take chances.. They will be transplanted to 20l Fabric Pots and start off with only feeding with water and maybe adding some tea. Biobizz on standby if needed.

Oh and thanks @Dank for the lekkah welcome, I'm actually based in the garden route, but was wondering if a more extreme climate was a good or a bad thing, I just started my first grow, along with 2 others, it's just a 16 plant grow op, were waiting to see which are Male and which are female, so we will probably end up with 10 plants, and will germinate enough seeds to get 12 females.theyre all a couple weeks in so far

On the outdoor plants (Honeysuckle etc) I used a mix of apple cider vinegar, hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. The plant recovered and even looked healthier. Can't say what it'll do on your buds etc.... Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

Since the buds have just started you can try spraying them, I know some members like using hydrogen peroxide (a 3% solution). Others have had luck using milk and water, I know@CreX tried this a while ago and it worked well for him. There is also AQ SF, which is meant to eat the PM - I'd say start spraying with something for now to try get rid of it ASAP before buds develop even more as spraying with larger buds could lead to mould issues as the buds may not dry properly or quick enough once they're dense. I gave the seeds a good scratching yesterday (sandpaper & scissors). Three of the five have already popped and have a ~2mm root and one more that has just started to show. I don't usually scratch seeds this much, but it certainly seemed to work!

Welcome to the forum @DankZolMan , in my honest opinion if you grow nice healthy plants, it should be ok, however 5 degrees in summer will cause some issues, slow growth, perhaps lockouts and maybe worse if its a weak strain. Autumn and early winter low temps will ensure a ripe harvest with plenty of colours. You can consider pulling a shadecloth over a frame for the very hot days, should get their temps down. With all that said, a super healthy indica, hybrid or sativa would most likely enjoy a nice hot day, providing they have adequate water, ventalation and not frying in a pot. Experience is the best teacher, perhaps start a diary and we can follow along. Peace and buds

Never been too worried myself with purple stems. In fact, I've always kind of seen them as a good sign of a maturing plant

I wouldn't go in with every watering... Luckily it's very hard to overdose with magnesium... But it can happen... I would make do a magnesium feed once a month with one of your feeds. Not sure if you have a ppm meter, but aim for 400ppm... Which is not much... If you don't have one... It's okay... Go in at a good sized table spoon measure per 10l water and that should help. I doubt you will use all 10l on one plant... But by the sounds of it, all your plants could benifit from a mag boost. I agree with @Dank on the Foliar spray... It will help ease the plant up a bit... But the soil drench is needed. As for the salts, Epsom salts are a vitally important salt for any soil.. I agree... Not knowing what you are putting into the soil could really muck things up. But I think he is safe with this one

All seeds sprouted, going to wait until roots reach sides of pot before transplanting in the various mediums.

Some stinky vigorous males in the mix would also be nice to find... just to collect some pollen and have a try at making a few personal crosses. Would be fun growing them out.

Yeah, I think it's 6 weeks, I figured I'd let them air dry for a week, then chuck them into cold storage with the other seeds. I have 2 - 3 weeks left before the tent frees up to veg in, so will probably try germing around the same time. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk
