I think it really depends on the auto plant itself though, as long as it does not start flowering too soon and has vigorous growth and is not stressed by the toppings then it should be fine.
I had 2x Daquari Lime seeds planted at the same time and the one started flowering at week 3 and the other at week 5 or so. Those extra 2 weeks of veg make a HUGE difference.
@AcidAlice what plant is that?
The name of the company that sent me the quote is Splendid Air.
They also sell 2nd hand and demo units.
My portable delonghi aircon also does not switch back on after a power failure. I contacted manufacturer and they told me it's not possible to have auto ON function. So what I use to do is switch it ON only at lights out. Even if I finish work late I go in and then switch it ON. Nowadays this unit has been sponsored to my veg room.
Very nice! Should get some good teas from there, but will it be enough?
If you are able to get some Organics Matter soil, it may be worth adding that to the mix. I feel it's a very good soil, I have even found some earthworms in my Organics Matter soil. I prefer it over the Freedom Farms soil personally, it's cheaper too.
Both aircon and dehumidifier are essential to dial in conditions. If you use them together then split unit aircon with dehumidifier for growrooms.
On a smaller grow the cheapest way to control temperature and humidity is with a portable air con like what you have. During lights on you vent the exhaust pipe from the aircon out of your lung room as normal with the aircon set on cooling at the temperature suitable for your lights set-up.
At lights out you set the aircon to dehumidifier/dry mode and unclip exhaust pipe at the back of aircon so it vents the hot air into your lung room. If your portable aircon has the function where it automatically switches ON after a power failure. Then hook it up to a timer and only run it at lights out for the minimum time increments required to keep you safe from PM. You will have to camp out in your lung room and monitor what's going on to know how to set the timer.
You will get the most efficient use of your electricity this way whilst maintaining decent conditions in your tent.
Haifa's MKP is actually 0-52-34 compared to hortimix which has higher potassium.
I'm going to test Spliff 2, Haifa MKP and Haifa Duo very soon. Their rep assured me their stuff don't lock out because their blends contain finely chellated salts. Only time and my tds tester will tell.
He told me that their spiff 3 is for midflower to flush. I hope their stuff works cos as far as I can see their mixing instructions don't give correct NPK s.
Any experienced guys out there please check my attachments above and tell me what you think.
I have a portable AC that's hooked up to an stc-1000. The AC chows too much power to run all the time so I'm getting the Meaco which only consumes 250w compared to 1300w from the AC. Going to have to play around to get them all dailed in. Maybe I just use dehumidifier during light out and AC lights on
Welcome and enjoy your stay!
What sort of micro grow do you have a mind? A small 2.4m x 2.4m tent?
There is tons of great info on this forum, read the various threads and ask if you are still unsure or need some customized advice.
I agree on American genetics. Particularly everything from northern California... Humboldt, Mendocino etc. I mean look at the videos on youtube. My last 2 parcels have been seized by customs so I'm wary of losing more money.
Hortimix mkp is definitely a pk booster. The problem with it is it binds with their part B calcium nitrate at higher doses then what they recommend. And in order for hortimix to work as a flowering nutrient mathematically you would have to dose their 3 parts at a ratio of
1partA-2partsB-5partsC.
This would give you an npk of +-
10-30-38. Sounds like a workable npk right?
Those 5 parts that you add of mkp bearly changes the EC. The calcium and phosphorus lockout and actually settle at the bottom of the reservoir. I've diluted each part even further then their recommendations and then mixed into reservoir. No luck. I even replaced my tds meter. Impossible to achieve target EC.
The flora series micro and bloom have worked the best for me as base nutrients. It just doesn't have enough calcium and I think it's too diluted. Besides in coco I also had to supplement calcium in dwc. I think it would be fine in soil. Right at this moment I'm using floracoco. I don't like it but I'm going to use it till it's finished. The powdered nutes I'm testing are from Haifa Nutrients. It's actually called their Spliff range.
Guys please know I stand to be corrected if I have been using the hortimix wrong. At its price I would love if it can work for me.
Good lawd you guys are in for a tree today!!
In the garden I have the following... According to size.
Ghost train
Mint OG
Aurora Kush
Critical mass
Northern lights
2x Ayla Blueberry
Inzane in the membrane
Cool doco there, @Ill_Evan. It brought back some fond memories of smoking vast quantities of Swazi Gold in December '83.
We jumped into Linda's Kombi on a Friday afternoon and headed out of Joeys for Mbabane. The moment we crossed the border (along with hundreds of other fellow South Africans) there was good herb for sale.
We watched Peter Tosh perform his Mama Africa concert Saturday afternoon/evening. Great music, great crowd. It's the only time I've ever seen a copper, in uniform, toking on a joint.
Good times.....
The reveg plant went into forced flower 3 weeks ago.
Stretch was much less than I expected, but the flowering hormones were still built up in the plant I guess as she was immediately just in flower.
Never the less, she has turned into an interesting little bonsai bloom.
