Hi All Started my first outdoor grow with bag seed from a friend. All cheese variants grown outdoors in treated soil raised beds. I started in middle September and just looking for a platform to get some help and see how my grow compares to other outdoor setups. Glad to be hear and looking forward to learning lots

I have noticed that if I ph some tap water and leave if for a week that the ph rises. Not sure if this could be related.

You don't want to really balance the Ph. You want it to gradually swing up

@CleanGreen yeah 2 weeks is too long. And you not supposed to be adding Nutes during the week because in dwc the ratios of each of the nutrient elements changes according to the plant feeding. They eat what they want and not equally. So in other words there could still be enough phosphorus in the solution and now you adding more by putting in more nutes. That extra phosphorus can drop the ph. Always top up with just plain water. Make notes of the ppm. If the plants are showing they need stronger Nutes dump that res and remix a fresh res. And wash your airstones everytime you change the res. The slime that grows on the airstone will also mess with ph and cause root problems. Hope you come right so you can flip that switch with confidence... Just on a side note so I know. Have you grown in dwc before or is this your 1st crack at the turbocharged form of growing weed.

I love it! I am sure this will help quite a few people out. As I have mentioned before, the diodes play such a huge role when it comes to LED's. Not all diodes are equal.

You sure it's the purple haze causing that. Have you changed the nute ratio. Maybe you started adding the hortimix MKP or have you already ruled out it's not related to Nutes. My nute solution used to always have a swing from 5.8 - 6.2 in a week until I got some root rot. That's when the Ph used to drop. Next run elevate those totes a little so that you can drop the totes to have a look at the roots every reservoir change. Unfortunately we don't have all those beautiful products we see the guys on YouTube have to kill that slimy bacteria. Hydrogen peroxide keeps it at bay somewhat. I apologise if you are experienced with dwc and I'm just chirping in when you already know what's happening in your garden. Just thought I'd share my experiences with you. And I made deadly mistakes in dwc. When I upgraded single bucket system to rdwc(3 buckets 2 plants) in week 2 flower I poisoned my plants to their death overnight. I was too anxious to do the switch after building the new system that I didn't run the system with just water for 24hours to remove all that poisonous tangent residues.

I like to vary my pH between 5.5 and 6.5 during my grow, but the pH swings being described here sound outter-worldly to me, coming from only changing my res once during an entire grow with no issues

Sorry I probably misread that you add nutes. Yeah it's a strange 1 then cos you have already ruled out what I've mentioned. Let us know what you find

Yea the lux meter on the phone is pretty useless for PAR. But it is still a good guideline in terms of light intensity and light placement. If you have decent lights and you trust your lights, then the lux meter is pretty handy

It is a bit of money for a PAR meter, but if you're not using a trusted brand for your grow lights, it's probably worth the peace of mind.

@Mambawana Its my vegetative crop, have two 45l bins each with the same ratio nutes, only difference is that out of the four plants one (Purple Haze) is new. So that why i suspect her. Also the reservoirs work independently from each other.

They will be fine. As long as they look happy you know you doing something right. Once they grow more foliage they will start boosting. Just remove as much of those wood chips to avoid a whole different set of problems.

Topped at 6 nodes, but we did something weird when we dropped I really dint knowing it was a great idea, check here

Mendo Dope style hey... I love how clean and fresh your plants look. Although they do seem a tad small considering their age. Do you think maybe you either topped them too early or did you top them down to the last node purposely. Not questioning your methods after all we here to share and learn from each other. Like I've personally found if I want large plants I top a little later when they taller and then continue topping every time there's a branch leading the pack. If I want a big bushy plant that's not too tall then I top when the plant has atleast 6 nodes. But nevertheless I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out especially when the rapid vegetative growth kicks in after each of your planned transplants.

300L are big but I want massive yields, 80og per plant type yields, certain plants might make it to 500L if their roots want it. Were growing indicas and sativas. We got sour diesel, super sativa, lemon haze, exodus cheese, passionfruit, amnesia, honesy banana, skittles, chronic and more. They recieve full day cycle sun. And in the last month or 2 of veg we will be putting a light on at night to ensure the plant maintains 18-6 light to extend veg.

Topped them all last night and after looking a bit down, they back to their perky selves this morning... no real signs of shock. One of them is on 5th node and the others on 6th

Male yes and don't use a potting mix for your Cannabis plants, its way to acidic and strips your plants of the required Nitrogen. You probably over water them too. Start over with bag seeds until you are comfortable before going out to purchase seeds. Or try and get a clone

Royal Highness sprouted so all good in da hood, will transplant the Mighty Grape and Pain Killer next week.

@CleanGreen @Mambawana So today I tested both veg reservoirs, both in red ph. So what I realize is that instead of every week nutes change I did once every two weeks. Seems like the water looses stability after a week and I dont wanna be adding base everyday and mess with ph.
