  1. Update: Week 3 of Flower Week 3 of flower has gone well, no real issues arising yet. Had some nitrogen deficiency on the Orange Kush Cake lower fan leaves, after spending all her energy depleting the soil for her stretch. I've added some worm castings, kelp and alfalfa mulch to the mix. Buds are starting to develop now and each day the signs of trichome development on the sugar leaves, and on a couple - fan leaves, is starting to get me excited. Humidity is sitting steady at 40-45% with the dehumidifier and temperatures between 22'C at lights off and 28'C with lights on when warm. Alien Wedding (Mosca Seeds) Sugar Cane (In House Genetics) Gorilla Breath (Humboldt Seed Organization) Think this one was the Green Crack, but may be mistaken.

  3. Here in kzn we have a little extra cloramite in our water. Our Ph is close to 8 & our ec is around 115ppm. It takes about 3 adjustments to stabilize Ph for long storage. @Bakstein420 run an airstone in the water for an hour(this is besides declorination). It's gets the Ph to rise quickly so that you can adjust it again and stabilize. Useful during flush when you not using nutes with buffering agents

  5. You need to get an ec pen like yesterday for your type of growing. The cheap R115 takealot pen is all you need. So how do you know how much your plants are eating? You supposed to be checking your ec daily. If it rises it means your plants are drinking more water and less nutes(too strong solution). If it drops it means the opposite. Once you get it to stay almost the same... It means you have dialed in your plants without having to use the tip burn method which I currently have to use in coco. You already rocking very good yields but you still 100% need to get an ec pen. It will also help you diagnose your current issue.

  7. There is just something about organics that make buds so tasty. There is no better organic growing than in a "Living Soil" teaming with beneficial Bacteria, Mycorrhizal Fungi, and everything else your Cannabis needs to grow the dankest of bud. And best of all, you don't need any other nutrients at all for the entire life cycle of the plant. When I decided to go a full on organic route, I spent hours and hours searching the net for formulations, that are firstly effective, and secondly, has ingredients that are easily obtainable in South Africa from a sustainable source, and affordable. I have had to make many substitutions, since guano’s are not so readily available, and they are super expensive when you do manage to get hold of it. So I thought I would share my soil mix that I grow all my babies in. Super Soil Ingredients 60l Potting Soil (I use DoubleGrow) 40l Mushroom Compost ( Also DoubleGrow) 25l Worm Castings (Hortishop) 500g Bone Meal 500g Talborne (I do not use the Fruit and flower, but the VitaVeg 6-3-4) 1kg SeaMunGus (Chicken Manure and Kelp pellets and plants love it!) 1kg Lucerne Pellets (Rabbit food) 500g Agricultural Lime 500g Volcanic Rock Dust (Turbogrow) 1 sachet of rock phosphate 500g Mycoroot 1 Compost activator sachet (Effecto Brand) 500g Brown Sugar (You can add Molasses, but I find that it takes the micro-organisms longer to eat up the sugar) Once all these are thoroughly mixed, this soil needs to mature and stabilize over a period of 2-3 months minimum; however the soil becomes sweeter the longer you leave it. I store my soil in large black bins, and chuck the whole lot out and mix through once a month for the first 2 months. This soil needs to be kept only just moist, but not wet. Pro Mix Ingredients 60l Coco Peat 30l Worm castings 30l Mushroom compost 20l Perlite 40L Super Soil (This first needs to stabilize before using) 500g Bone Meal 500g Talborne VitaVeg 6-3-4 500g volcanic Rock Dust 500g Mycoroot 500g Agricultural Lime Regardless of the size of the container I grow in, I fill the bottom half with Super Soil, and the remainder with Pro Mix. From seed to harvest I have never had deficient plants, and I only use de-chlorinated tap water (Just let it stand for 24 hours or more to let all the Chlorine evaporate. Unless your tap water pH is really off, you don’t even need to pH correct your water. The lime in the mix is a brilliant buffer to acidity. It does cost a bit to mix this soil up, but the results speak for themselves!

  8. Breeding Cannabis at home as a hobby (or more seriously) is now easier than ever before, thanks to the pioneers that have been tirelessly breeding (and preserving) countless of generations since the early 80's in Holland, US and other parts of the world. We as hobbyists can now start with proven genetics and try to develop new, or preserve certain traits/effects that the Cannabis flowers posses. Feel free to ask questions or share your experiences/resources. 9. We created a nice animation to explain watts, lumens, PAR and PPFD. Getting the right grow light for your needs can be straight forward. Easily compare Mars-Hydro and Spider Farmer LED grow lights here.

  10. I only have experience outdoors with companion planting. Indoors I wouldn't do it cause of space issues. You do not want another feeder growing alongside your ganja competing for food and in the end taking some important nutes that could've been used by the weed. Indoors is an controlled environment which basically means you are god. So with that said, cleanliness comes after godliness. If you have pest problems indoors then you did not clean yourself good enough before visiting them. Or accidentally picked up a pest while on your way home. If I see any pests I whip out Ludwig and read them their final words... Sent from my FIG-LX1 using Tapatalk

  16. @Mambawana I planted her seed 18 September 2019, that generation 5 clones, 4th harvest, on average 270g per reservoir/2 plants in one tank. I dont add extra nutes when refilling during the week, just good old tap water that I air out for 24hr. Just not sure what happening with the ph fluctuations, till now I did not had to do much to ph corrections.

  17. You don't want to really balance the Ph. You want it to gradually swing up
