Second net in day 19 of flo I bit the bullet and added biobizz top max and acti Vera. No stock of bio heaven unfortunately

Waazzzzup! So considering my other grows have come to an end, might as well start a new grow diary! I have the following Ethos strains which I am busy growing out: Inzane in the Membrane, Grape Diamonds, Mandarin Cookies & Early Lemon Berry. I also have Zweet OG, Mystery Cookies and Citradelic Sunset which I shall be growing later on. Most of the ones I am growing have now been put into flower, so the boring veg part has at least been cut out! Some were started from clones, some from seeds. Plan on using some STS as well so every plant is from a different seed in essence. First off, the Early Lemon Berry. This is the clone I got, thinking of actually using it to get pollen from as I dislike the way it has been growing and I have not done any training on it. Excuse the burnt leaves at the bottom, it's from a pyrol & neem spray. The Lemon Berry which has been grown from seed, probably going to put into a 20L pot and use this one to bear the seeds. I started it in soil and have since transplanted to coco & perlite. Have mainlined the plant, will probably start doing some LST as well to ensure a flat canopy. So far I am not very impressed with the Early Lemon Berry, growth seems to be slow but hopefully it shines in flower and the bud is worth it. Next up is the Grape Diamonds, I have literally just put the one into flower tonight (19 November) and boy oh boy I am loving this plant so far! Growth has been amazing and explosive. I know @Master_G pulled an awesome amount of bud from his Grape Diamond. The colour which came through on his was also super sexy and extremely frosty! Cannot wait to harvest! The Grape Diamond plant I will be using to get pollen from: This is one of my Mandarin Cookies which was grown from clone, she will just be giving me bud. No seeds on her, I have another 2 Mandarin Cookies being grown from seeds of which one will bear seeds and the other give pollen. Also very nice growth and an easy plant to work with so far, although from what I have seen from @Master_G's one he had in flower... does not appear to be anything too special - I guess we shall find out come harvest time though. This one shall be referred to as Mandarin Cookies #1 Put her into flower on 8 November. Next up is a strain I have been wanting for a while, Inzane in the Membrane! The growth on this plant is really explosive, more so than the Grape Diamond. Very nice thick stems, easy to train and the rated THC % is spectacular at 30 - 35% on average, obviously depending on how well you grow her and the pheno. Put her into flower 15 November.

Hello everybody . I'm Sumeshan but you can call me Sumi . I'm very green to growing (pun intended) I have started my 1st grow about 3 months ago , the girls have now been switched into flower and I'm hoping I have the biggest buds I could possibly grow . I'm growing in a soil medium that I got from the growstation . And the girls are a Gelato OG and a Banana kush respectively. They are now currently on a 12/12 light schedule . Glad to be here so I can learn from the community and possibly help others if I can.

Triacontanol is available from a company called inteligro. It's about 700 for 1ltr. The dosage is crazy low. 8ml to 100ltrs. Yes it definitely works. Speeds up growth and really bushes out a plant. I've physically noticed a difference in a week. I aggressively leaf stripped 2 of my GG clones. The plant sprayed with triacontanol recovered and grew all its foliage back a lot faster. Atm I'm testing higher doses on some clones I've got outdoors, my guinea pig plants for testing everything. I'm checking to see if higher doses can cause any mutations. I have not noticed a difference when mixed into Nutes but definitely with foliar feeding. I don't know the difference between the 2 sulphurs as yet. But I'm on it. And no I don't spray anything in flower. The latest I've ever sprayed was day 14 and that was only once and it was an emergency.

Firstly this is the Tropf Blumat system, so it works like a dripper - the other blumat systems work on the basis that the carrot is full of water / nutes and then as the medium (soil, coco etc.) dries up, it draws the water through the clay carrot - which is then refilled either via a bottle on top of the carrot or a small tube, depending on which one you have. The Tropf uses the carrot and the medium to draw water out of it, to trigger when it starts to drip the water / nute solution from a res (or tap). As the soil gets wet then the clay carrot draws water / nutes back inside of it and stops dripping water. Well, I am in the process of switching over from soil to Coco & Perlite and have done a bit of a half arsed job, still need to expand the drippers a bit on the larger 20L pots but so far it seems to be working very nice! The fact that you can adjust each carrot individually is awesome and the fact that each plant only gets water when needed is also brilliant. On a traditional drip system, each plant would get water at the same time and the plants not drinking as much are kinda screwed. In soil that can negatively affect your plants. Growth seems to be improved as well, I only set it up on Saturday I think but so far loving it. Still need to set it up in my flowering tent. I feel the coco & perlite combined with the blumat system will be fantastic! I am expecting quicker growth too and the fact that I no longer need to water by hand is very welcome. Such a tedious task! Nah, I also did some schwartzing in my previous grow if you'd like to go and see how that went. Still get a few here and there but this time I am changing things a bit. Main reason I clean the plants so much is to avoid trimming the small shitty nugs, although I have now gone into flower with larger plants and am aiming for 6 to 8 main colas, previously I feel I had too many which negatively affected light penetration in my limited flowering space. I feel having fewer colas will help in this regard. I will also be defoliating a bit more and a bit earlier. I am going to play around a bit with a few other things and see how it turns out and if it will help increase my yield. Back to the thread, I have found the dates I put the plants into flower and have edited the original post as well to refelct these dates for those interested. @CreX rates even 350ppm is aight. Plus it's just short of the recommended dosage by Nutriplex. If not, I'll wait and let my plants tell me they need more nutes. Ppm might be 1995, but quick maths is 2019. 400 ppm is 0.8 EC according to the manufacturer of my EC pen.

I've mentioned it to a member on the forum. Selling living soils/super soils commercially is risky business with a lot of factors that could go wrong. Having a production facility that is sealed and contaminant free is almost next to impossible, maybe that day will come, but not right now. That's how the occasional batch will have fungus gnats etc. I also feel there's a catch 22 with packaging. I don't know the real science behind it but I'm worried the bags are too sealed and don't allow the soil to breathe well. On the other hand, if you allow the soil to breathe well by punching more holes in the packaging you risk the soil drying out, another issue in itself, plus you invite pests like fungus gnats etc. I think you'll need to accept a certain element of risk when buying a commercial super soil. The only way to avoid doubt entirely is to mix your own

So I pollinated the Charlottes Angel on Monday evening, looking at the pistils it seems to have worked. The donor Charlottes Angel was killed. I now wait for the bud and seeds to mature. Extremely eager to make some oil and have some people try it out and see how well it works for them. The picture I took last night, she smells really good! I also had some PM on her but that seems to be sorted now, I used both milk and AQSF to try get rid of the PM.

I have set them to flower and was wondering why the banana kush keeps stretching ...having to lift the lights up higher everyday.

Think the bazooka limit is like 1.3 bazookas per person

I've now gone to pure coco and fertigation, zero issues at all.

@SuMi Welcome bud... hhmm I would advice not to aim for growing the biggest buds, growing big buds requires 100% environmental control or you WILL get bud rot and mold. Send some pics

Just lollipopped the two in early flower. Canopy seems even enough, perhaps just a bit of selective de-leafing going forward. Should have a plant to harvest each month soon enough. Will pop a another seed when the existing new plant is a month old. Yay.

There's 4 plants in there the one right back stretched more than the rest but I'm happy with the canopy seeing as they are 4 different strains. I use biobizz nutrients so I cannot premix in a reservoir. What I do is mix my nutrients as I need them in a 25 bucket. I have a pump that pumps the solution into the pots via DIY irrigation piping. The setup to water probably cost me like R250 an 1 hours work

@Mambawana where do you get your Triacontanol from and have you done tests as to whether it actually makes a noticeable difference? Any idea as to how much of a difference a foliar spray vs adding it with nutes makes to the way it works? Also how do you plan on using the wettable sulfur and only during veg or will you possibly use it during flower too? Whats the actual difference between wetting sulfur and normal sulfur / sulphur?

Have tried two different methods of growing here ...just for my first grow experimenting...I main lines the Gelato OG ...and I just low stress trained the banana kush .

Your plants are being starved 400ppm for that growth is nothing, also do yourself a favor and get an EC pen, PPM is so 1995.

@SkunkPharmHey man, I actually haven't made THCA isolate.......yet, to be honest I have never even seen it in person. Hopefully next year I will present some pure THCA diamond pics.

Hmmm I think I know what it could be then... I have not sprayed anything on the plant however, there was one time where I spilt a couple drops of water and it hit that branch. solution - just leave it and continue as normal? it seems to be only one branch of the bush. or could it be calcium or magnesium deficiency?

I've had my fair share of playing with various 'inexpensive' COBs. I find that due to the poor spread, you end up adding a lot of chips to increase spread which has a severe impact on electricity consumption. Don't get me wrong, they work well, results are great, but spread causes running costs on COBs to be very high (the driverless ones anyway) Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

I got some fungus gnats in my seedling mix from Freedom Farm. I got it sorted pretty easy but yeah it's no good buying contaminated soil

Same soil.. But I hear what u are saying. I will not buy from the bulk seed bank again. Single cheap seeds might also be the problem. I will give another auto or two a try in FF..

I agree completely!! Soil makes a world of a difference, it is well worth spending money on some good soil. Although often soil is not without its faults as well, not all batches of soil will be the exact same. I believe there has been a bad batch of Organics Matter soil going around. Others have previously had issues with Freedom Farms soil burning plants and being full of Fungus Gnats. Bio Leaf (meant to be inert coco) having a stupidly high EC I have personally had a good experience with Organics Matter soil and have not been affected by the bad batch, although some friends of mine have been.

Changing the res was the correct response to your issue. You fixed 2 issues... too high Ph and unbalanced toxic nutrient ratios. I've mentioned this before and I know you have taken plants to harvest without doing this but it's best to change your res weekly for a few reasons but mainly because if you just top up you are changing the npk ratio in the res because you have no idea what your plants have eaten and what's left behind. Now you topping up with fresh nutes so what you actually doing is adding extra of what the plant is not eating a lot of. Eventually as the weeks go by you sitting with a solution that's all locked out. Especially calcium and phosphorus. Big cultivation centres have to equipment to measure what's in the water and are able to top up with only what's needed. And don't just feed your plants micro. That will cause BIG deficiencies. Everything needs a balance. One thing I can tell you is your nutrient strength was not too high. There are no signs of nute burn and nute burn doesn't initially cause leaves to droop. Please don't get me wrong I'm not telling you what to do or questioning your growing skills cos I know you can grow just by the advice you give others. I myself have joined this forum to broaden my knowledge and to have people to talk to about my favorite past time. I hope this comes across as humble as it's meant to be. So I snapped a quick pic this morning of the surrogate (to be) Charlottes Angel plant. Around week 3 of flower I think, cannot remember exactly. Need a bit more defoliation when I get a chance.

Lots of upgrades done since the last run. My AC is now on a controller I added a Meaco 20l dehumidifier upgraded the tent to a Secret Jardin DS120 replaced small 6 inch fans with box fans. I'm ready to flip, will do this today or tomorrow. Back left Zweet Inzanity, back right Blueberry Indica x Heribei, front left Peyote Cookies, front right Jolly Rancher. 1 more mixed run after this then it's time for mono crops with the best I've found.

Last night I decided to jar the bud and found a few more seeds, so I have a fair amount of seeds from the Daq Lime. Gonna wait a while to ensure they are properly dried and then I will put them in a ziplock bag with some silica and into the fridge. I put the one Charlottes Angel (Surrogate plant) into flower last weekend and yesterday morning I did a quick STS spray on the other Charlottes Angel (donor plant) again. I will probably put the donor plant into flower this weekend or perhaps sometime next week as I want to give the surrogate plant time to develop lots of pistils before the pollen is ready.

So I finally got around to harvesting the Daquari Lime and the seeds she has provided too! I got a few more seeds than pictured below, I started by trying to pick out as many seeds as I could and then I did the bus wash and trim, got a few more during trimming and may even find a few more when I finally give it a try - she was not heavily seeded which is perfectly fine by me considering I do not need stupid amounts of seeds from her. I only used around 4 or 5 pollen sacs and spread the pollen with my sticky fingers. Seeds are nice and large!

I stopped worrying about my usage, I run close to 3000 watts of lights now with about 5 x 150 watt fans. When summer hits I'll be introducing a AC for the grow area, so close to 4200 watts.
