  1. Another week gone, and I'll now be heading into week 5 of flower. The revelation this week is that the Orange Kush Cake by Ethos is one hell of a keeper pheno. The terps are now a distinct Fanta orange/orange candy and trichome coverage is growing leaps and bounds each day. Only at day 24 and she's already looking caked up. The Banana Daddy has some serious problems which appears to either be a Phos def or severe nutrient burn - neither of which should be occurring given my feeds. The Mandarin Cookies are giving off amazing naartjie/mandarin terps which are sharp and sweet. ^ Ethos - Orange Kush Cake (Day 24) ^ Humboldt - Green Crack (Day 24) ^ Mosca - Alien Wedding (Day 24) ^ DNA - Strawberry Banana (Day 24)

  2. Generally if the manufacturer of the nutes gives you an EC and a dose, it should be more or less on that EC if you dosed correctly. For example, with the Haifa nutes when you add the correct grams (its powder) into 10L of water you get around the EC which they recommend / state. I suspect there is a bit of difference due to the quality of the water, my water has an EC of around 160 (0.160) out the tap and after adding the Haifa nutes I get around 1.4 / 1.5 EC and they state 1.6 EC I think it is... Although if you get 0.8EC and they suggest 1.5 - 2.2 that does not sound right. An EC of 2.2 in veg does not sound right either, sounds very high to me.

  3. The EC range they give has nothing to do with them assuming you will use additives to get it in that range, the ml per l, is their recommended dilution rate, however as said before you need to take into account solution temperature to get a more accurate ec, I am not sure what temp they recommend the solution to be. But you'll want to add nutrients till you hit that range, not add additives. I would slowly adjust upwards and not to 1.5 immediately.

  4. Yeah, I have some Bruce Banner, Chocolope and I think mango kush curing, harvested during the first few days of my break. Can't wait to give the Chocolope a proper test 'flight' Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

  5. So Man Cookies #1 has started showing some pistils, nothing yet on the others. Man Cookies #2 still has a bit of vegging to do before I will put her into flower, want her a bit bigger than she currently is. For those who may be interested, it is the following: Mandarin Cookies R2 Grape Diamonds R2 Early Lemon Berry R1 I believe there is a Man Cookies R1, not sure about any variations on the Early Lemon Berry and Grape Diamonds.

  6. @PsyCLown, thanks dude. The strain is wedding cake - it's incredible, bong exhale tastes like it smells. I've only done a couple runs with dry ice hash and the result is pretty potent. I have a nugsmasher XP, built in the US and weighs like a ton. Super good build quality. Flower, I'm getting between 15 and 22%, but I can tell you the flavour is incredible. 160 micron for "fresh" , meaning still has been dried but contains some moisture. Freshly picked flower contains too much moisture and the humidity level is much higher than the ideal range for rosin extraction. Live rosin takes a few extra steps - flower is frozen before any drying takes place, then processed into bubble hash, then the hash is freeze dried (love this step, but don't have a freeze drier, yet), After the fresh frozen derived bubble hash is dried, it's then pressed into rosin and provides one of the best highs and terpene profile of any concentrate. And best of all, it's SOLVENTLESS

  7. Update: Week 3 of Flower Week 3 of flower has gone well, no real issues arising yet. Had some nitrogen deficiency on the Orange Kush Cake lower fan leaves, after spending all her energy depleting the soil for her stretch. I've added some worm castings, kelp and alfalfa mulch to the mix. Buds are starting to develop now and each day the signs of trichome development on the sugar leaves, and on a couple - fan leaves, is starting to get me excited. Humidity is sitting steady at 40-45% with the dehumidifier and temperatures between 22'C at lights off and 28'C with lights on when warm. Alien Wedding (Mosca Seeds) Sugar Cane (In House Genetics) Gorilla Breath (Humboldt Seed Organization) Think this one was the Green Crack, but may be mistaken.

Genetics: In House Genetics - Sugar Cane x2 (Slurricane x Platinum) In House Genetics - Bananium (Banana OG x Platinum) Ethos - Banana Daddy (GDP x Banana Hammock) Ethos - Mandarin Cookies (Forum Cut Cookies x Mandarin Sunset) Ethos - Orange Kush Cake (Wedding Cake x Jilly Bean) x (Sour Tangie x Rozé Zkittlez x OG Eddy Lepp) Ethos - Glue (GG4 x (Ethos Kush IBL x GG4) x GG4) Mosca - Alien Wedding (Wedding Crasher x Fire Alien White) DNA - Holy Grail Kush (Kosher Kush x OG18) DNA - Strawberry Banana (Banana Kush x Bubblegum) Humboldt - Green Crack Humboldt - Gorilla Breath (Original Glue x OGKB) Setup: Seedlings = 110W COB in 80x80, Veg = 240W Quantum Board in 120x120, Flower = 480W Quantum Board in 120x120 2x 6" Extractor 10L and 15L pots Nutrients and Soil: Freedom Farms Classic Soil BioBizz Grow Freedom Farm's Kelp Freedom Farm's Fire Juice Wurmbosch Worm Castings BioBizz Bloom _______________________________________________________________ Germination & Week 1 The germination was done in paper towels with open ziplock bags for humidity retention, as well as inside of a humidity dome on a heat mat. Had a 100% germination rate on these beans. ____________________________________________________________ Week 2 Veg Week 2 was going alright, though I was a bit light on the watering which resulted in some slowed root growth. All girls were looking decent except for the Ethos Glue which revealed itself as a runt early on. Was later removed from the tent during mid veg. Kept them under a heat mat for a while since temperatures were a bit low. ____________________________________________________________ Week 3 Veg Transplanted into slightly larger pots with some Mycoroot. Roots took hold during this period and the plants started to look much better, split picture below is a 5 day difference after transplant. Still only giving water at this stage, pH to 6.3. __________________________________________________________________ Week 4 Veg They were looking better in week 4, though still recovering a bit from the slow root growth in the second week. However they were definitely speeding up, with the Mandarin Cookies pictured below taking the early lead in appearance. ___________________________________________________________________ Week 5 Veg I started to give them the first feed in week 5, providing them with 1/3 strength Kelp, as they weren't showing any real defs at this stage and wanted to just give them something for the following week. It was also at this time that I did a bit of a late topping to the girls. _________________________________________________________ Week 6/7 Veg Week 6 of veg and the plants were moved into the 1.2x1.2m tent under 240W of QB. Feeding them once a week during this period with 1/4 dose BioBizz Grow and 1/6 strength Kelp. _____________________________________________ Week 7 Veg Week 7 I gave them a feed of Worm Castings, but noticed that none of the plants were very hungry and a once a week feed was seeming more than enough. Pictured below is the Alien Wedding by Mosca. _____________________________________________________________________________ Week 8 Veg In week 8, I took cuts of the girls. Pictured is one of the Sugar Cane cuts after 6 days in EasyPlugs. ___________________________________________________________ Week 1/2 of Flower This was a few days ago now, I am currently into the second week of 12/12 and the plants are starting to show clusters of pistils. The stretch on the Green Crack and Orange Kush Cake is unbelievable and I had to tie them down just before flipping to promote some hormones to the lower nodes. Pictured below, in order - Mandarin Cookies, Green Crack, Alien Wedding and Sugar Cane Will update this thread as the plants progress through flower.

  9. Did some more canopy training, it's a bit more even and exposed. Harvest was a little airy, have to step up my game! Trying some leaf tucking on the 3 week old.

  11. Cheers to us building our own real life community here in sa. Our own collaborations. Searching and sharing... I've got a small taste of what it feels like to share my cuts and have someone else grow plants that I've grown many times over and just see how they express themselves differently. It's a happy rewarding feeling, hence why I want to now take the next step and do some home breeding and make some seeds that I can grow and share. Just glad I've met guys like you that have already been doing this and can stop me from making some amateur breeding mistakes. I've just kicked off something that I never imagined I would do... planted my seeds in search of a stud. Fingers crossed I find one that ticks all the boxes.

  12. @Dank imagine if we had access to some of the clones from Wonderland Nurseries. That guy Keven sifts through 1000s of plants before selecting his keepers. Use to watch all his videos back in the day... On another note Mendo Dope who now have become Greenshock Farms are going to start selling seeds. All their Tropical Sley Ride crosses... @Cannabist you need to hook us up with the genetics from California brother.

  14. @Moosed that bud looks amazing, what is it? Also how does the kief & hash press? What sort of yield do you get on that and which press do you have? 160 micron for fresh, non dried bud?

  16. Careful not to snap a branch if you do decide to bend your plants. Bend from the tips for safety, gently and slow. One day you will eventually snap a branch, but it doesn't have to be today.

  17. It's probably in its genetics to stretch. I would recommend bending all those tall branches so that you can get your canopy even. All those lower branches will catch up and you will be able to have your light at a decent height so everything gets sufficient light. A small scrog net over your plants will give you tons of tops just judging by the amount of nodes those branches have. Try not position the stretchy plant directly under your light, keep it to the side so when it goes through the crazy preflower stretch atleast you will have some room to play with.

  20. The GSC came in at 47g dry... The lowest yielding plant so far - still got the Chocolope... A quick summary of the dry weights so far. Bb - 90g Gdp - 70g Cbd critical mass - 67g Tropicana - 52g Gsc - 47g This brings me to a total of 326g dry so far and I am expecting at least 50g dry from the Chocolope, if so that'll bring me to around 370 - 380g dry from my tent and that leads to over 1g per watt at the max power I was giving the plants (360w) and I feel as if that was excessive and I could get away with less power. Had I grown 6x BB plants yield would be insane! Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk
