  1. Nearing the end of week 5 now (day 32) and they are definitely bulking nicely now. The Alien Wedding is still maturing much faster than the others, while the Sugar Cane and Orange Kush Cake remain the favourites in terms of trichome production. Strawberry Banana is starting to add some weight now, but I have got some issues with the Holy Grail Kush, showing some nute burn and just general weak genetics, leaves aren't very strong and it doesn't take up much water, the rooting may not be great on it. Here's the Alien Wedding, Sugar Cane and Orange Kush Cake (shot with a flash this time)

  2. The Charlottes Angel is coming along nice, had some issues with PM but the milk and AQ sf seems to be helping quite a bit. You can see the seeds are forming, the bud is looking good. It is a 10 - 12 weeks train so got a while to go still and the bud needs to swell up some more still before I start checking trichomes. A very sweet scent, for a strain with upto 16% CBD and under 1% THC she is mighty frosty.

  3. Hi guys. Thought I'd share my current grow. I'm nearing the end of Veg currently. Okay let me take you to the beginning...

  4. Don't get me wrong, I'm also not the guy to talk about top notch genetics from experience... but in saying that I'm lucky enough to have some grower friends in the states that are taking the craft industry to the next level. So in the best interests of my fellow south africans I think it's my duty to share this info. The question still remains what defines top notch genetics... I would think the ability to on most occasions find atleast 2 different keepers in a 10 pack... and not sift through 100 of subcools seeds or 1000 of barneys farm seeds. My Wish List for seed stock Symbiotic genetics Lost leaf Capulator Darkhorse genetics Medigrower Magikmeds Loki(gml death baba cross) Dioxide To name a few...

  6. Funny enough, since posting about Da Buddha in July I've actually been using my Arizer ArGo much more often. I tend to reserve Da Buddha for sessions with friends these days as opposed to using it by myself. Although on days when I'd really like to shoot for the stars I will plug in Da Buddha

  7. @420SA you still prefer vaping over combustion? How has your vaping journey changed over the past 4 or so years? I was first introduced to vaping herb by a friend who owned a Vapor Genie, which basically has become mine... He ended up importing another one. I have never been a smoker, always found joints quite harsh. Prefer bong over a joint due to the smoke being cooler but still very harsh and my lungs always felt as if they wanted to jump out my chest after taking a hit. Vaping has been great! You also use very little bud in a vape, not that it's an issue with me growing now. I tried @Ill_Evan's Da Budda and it's friggen awesome! Seriously powerful and very deceiving compared to the portable vapes I am use to, I think its due to the fact that there is soo much more air flow you do not realize how much vape you're actually inhaling. Although since growing and making some dab from my trim, I am loving the dab! Still vape as my main source of consumption though. To be honest my cheap Chinese herb vape has nothing on Da Buddah or the higher end electronic vapes. Want to get myself a PAX 3.

  9. So the plants are coming along nicely, the ones I have in the flowering tent. I gave them a spray with some milk & AQ sf as a precaution as another plant of mine has PM, so excuse the ugly white spots on the leaves. Rather spray them before the bud starts forming and getting dense. The pole is a 1.2m pole, to give you an idea of the height of the plants. I did a bit of defoliation after taking these pictures.

  10. The Bruce Banner fro Dark Horse Genetics is fantastic! Its the Bruce Banner I grew out, yield was the best I have had from a single plant thus far, lots of trichomes and very dense bud. Some nice colour during flower too.

  11. @Dr. Green are they Dutch Passion? I feel my larger BB Kush was stunted due to the transplant, so will monitor the seedling and see how big she gets. Below is a slightly better pic of the mutation I took this morning, curious to see how this mutation turns out.

  12. Had to start increasing the amount of nutrients that I feed as I could see the plants are getting a lighter green Just got myself some Bio Heaven to add to the list of nutes I also started the seeds for my next indoor run which will be all DNA: 3 x LA confidential and 1x cataract Kush which is LA Confidential x OG Kush. Also started an Aztec Rain and Sannies Jack which will go outside with my Zsweet Inzanity clones. Very impressed with Zsweet Inzanity outdoors.

  13. Not that good genetics, mediocre, just making do with I could get, had 2 packages from the states seized by customs, it had those exotics... instead now I have no choice but to grow gear from these fools like barneys farm, HSO, etc. No offense to anyone please but it is what it is. I'm very critical generally, so no hiding the short falls. I've started some new seeds... most promising being the 9lb hammer x Electric Watermelon. Almost bought some darkhorse genetics Bruce Banner to add to the programme but had to make a choice between that and a dehumidifier for black Friday... and at 50% off the choice had to go the way off the...

  15. That's a good question..... Not sure how much truth there is, but it seems the legeslation and regulation is going to be prohibitively expensive. Only 23K for a licence....nevermind land, water, eletricity, infrastructure and security requirements. (You can distill moonshine in your garage with a R100/year licence) Where is the small guy in this picture? Is there a place for a artisinal small scale grower like myself??? Starting to get the feeling that I'm too small a fish in this pond. (Speaking for myself-other members should add their own opinions) ''Cannabis Growers Cooperative'' anyone? 22. Another week gone, and I'll now be heading into week 5 of flower. The revelation this week is that the Orange Kush Cake by Ethos is one hell of a keeper pheno. The terps are now a distinct Fanta orange/orange candy and trichome coverage is growing leaps and bounds each day. Only at day 24 and she's already looking caked up. The Banana Daddy has some serious problems which appears to either be a Phos def or severe nutrient burn - neither of which should be occurring given my feeds. The Mandarin Cookies are giving off amazing naartjie/mandarin terps which are sharp and sweet. ^ Ethos - Orange Kush Cake (Day 24) ^ Humboldt - Green Crack (Day 24) ^ Mosca - Alien Wedding (Day 24) ^ DNA - Strawberry Banana (Day 24)

  23. Update: Week 3 of Flower Week 3 of flower has gone well, no real issues arising yet. Had some nitrogen deficiency on the Orange Kush Cake lower fan leaves, after spending all her energy depleting the soil for her stretch. I've added some worm castings, kelp and alfalfa mulch to the mix. Buds are starting to develop now and each day the signs of trichome development on the sugar leaves, and on a couple - fan leaves, is starting to get me excited. Humidity is sitting steady at 40-45% with the dehumidifier and temperatures between 22'C at lights off and 28'C with lights on when warm. Alien Wedding (Mosca Seeds) Sugar Cane (In House Genetics) Gorilla Breath (Humboldt Seed Organization) Think this one was the Green Crack, but may be mistaken.

  24. Fellow Da Buddha owner over here! I've gone through the list, I've done all the blunt papers, all the rizzla, all the bongs (even the electric ones) and I gotta say, Da Buddha damn straight changed the game. I also invested in a portable version, not by the same company though. It's called the Arizer ArGo, super awesome little vape device. Doesn't have the kick of Da Buddha, but it works for stealth medication in public/not-so-kosher areas. Vaping at home all week then seeing friends over the weekend that don't vape and smoke blunts, bongs etc then going back to vaping just shows me every time how superior vaping is. I also collect all my AVB, and when I fill a mason jar up I use the AVB to make brownies, and they come back for a vengeance Edit: Hey @420SA, got any neat tips and tricks for a fellow Buddha user? (asks as he rips from his Buddha) *exhales I find that warming up the glass of the bowl before vacuuming the ganja helps with the 1st rip as I usually find that the 1st rip with a cold bowl is always major flaccid
