  3. @Meepmeepza Don't disappoint the wife. She didn't do too bad. Get some decent compost, a small brick of coco and mix it with that soil and keep it for your 1st transplant. Remove as much of the bark and funny things. Start seeds in something small with a little of that coco only and then transplant as they grow. That plant food shows a pic of seaweed on it and says kelp on the side so it will work for your grow for veg for.The most part. Drench and foliar 2 in 1. You can diy some teas for flower or maybe buy a biobloom later on or top dress some worm castings during the grow to boost microbials or whatever.. The plant will grow and you can wing it as it grows. There is only one thing in cannabis cultivation that I feel you should never compromise and that is good genetics. As a beginner start with photo's, leave the autos till you get some experience. Seeds are cheap for a 3 pack delivered @Cannabist

  4. Hey there So after countless hours of skimming over forums and reading info in the pursuit of cannabis growing perfection and happiness I have finally decided to rather become part of the discussion and to engage with people directly through a forum. Happy to be onboard and look forward to sharing the many successful grows and harvests to come. My preferred method Indoor DWC. Bupple ponic for first 4 weeks then pure dwc the rest of the way. I believe once someone believes that they know it all then they have only stopped learning. Peace and kindness

  6. Harsh bru. Give the owe a chance. He happily posted some supplies he's got as a gift towards the cause and you guys are being so despondent instead of assisting him in making it work. @Trailblazer420 Is your garden gnat free?

  7. I do not recommend you use that soil, keep it for the garden or give it away. In terms of nutrients, never tried that before either and have not heard of anyone using that before either - I know some have used Seagro with decent success for veg, although I would suggest getting something a bit more tried and tested in terms of soil and nutrients - unfortunately for the most part they tend to not be as cheap as the stuff one would find at a nursery / builders / checkers. For soil I would recommend Freedom Farms (around R180 for 30L) or Organics Matter (Around R160 for 30L). For nutrients there are lots of choices, BioBizz is a popular choice for those who want to try and do a more organic grow. You won't need an EC / PPM pen to use Biobizz nutes, just a PH pen. BioBizz Grow or Fish mix to use during veg and then BioBizz Bloom when they are flowering. I personally prefer BioBizz Fish Mix for veg if you are going with BioBizz. For the other nute ranges, it would be preferably to have an EC or PPM pen as the guides are not always very accurate.

  9. A res elevator lol... Now that would be a luxury hahaha... Having the buckets off the ground just make it easier to get to... You don't have to try crawl under the net and peek into the res... Raising the res just gives you more space to fit in and do the things like defoliation from under the canopy. It's a fine line though, have it too high, and you are gonna need a small step ladder to adjust bud on the net because you can't reach it haha

  10. Not that I grow hydro, however I love the idea of having the res elevator off the ground. Should make it much easier to drop the res and change it or inspect the roots etc.

  12. @GasSak Hi and welcome... A dwc set-up is very dependant on your grow space, the type of lights you intend on using and the amount of plants you want to grow. I highly recommend dwc over every other system because of the ease of it. Your choices are to purchase a built system or diy it. A recirculating dwc (rdwc) is by far the system that requires least physical work when it comes to checking ph/ec, draining the reservoir and keeping all the plants dialed in. It also adds extra turbulence in each bucket which assist the airstones with keeping everything bubbling and moving. The most important factor to me with any dwc set-up is somehow having it elevated off the ground so it makes it easier to inspect roots and do any maintenance whilst the top if the plants are scrogged etc.

  13. I love my DWC. I made a topic under the hydroponics section on DWC, take a look and see if it answers your questions and don't stop asking!

  15. That's quite a small plant, so not a bad thing that it has not started to flower yet. Although it does not sound like an issue which BnB would be responsible for as they are basically just re-sellers. Hopefully in time it will start to flower. I had a similar issue, purchased some Charlottes Angel Auto seeds, turns out they were not autoflowers. Hoping it is at least still Charlottes Angel, with the low THC I shouldn't really feel it when smoking it so that will be the test once I have harvested.

  16. Day 32 and still hasn't flowers . 4 and half weeks later. Hopefully they will auto and this is just buying me some time to veg longer . But have my doubts, was a 3 seed pack that came with five . 2 didn't germinate and all 3 look so different, on is about 3 cm tall .

  17. @MeepmeepzaI have a 400w ballast and reflector and globes (HPS and MH) ... But I can't go as low as 500. It has chains to hang it, and long cables so you can mount the ballast outside the grow area. Let me know if you are interested, send me a PM

  18. OK, so you have a grow area - you may need to block out the light coming in from outside depending on how much light there is at night. You will still need the following: PH pen Extraction Grow lights Seeds Medium Nutrients Pots You do need to decide on your medium - as CreX said, Coco, Soil or Hydro? Hydro will require air pumps Coco & perlite is best with regular watering Soil can be a bit expensive for the good soils - such as the Freedom Farms and Organic Matters, normally R160 ro R180 for 30L of soil.

  20. I agree with all the responses. That plant is really going to take a while to kick back from that. Something he has done caused this to happen quickly. You can see it was topped recently so which means it was healthy up to then. Either a nutrient feed or a pesticide spray. The next step is to flush out that plant and then just leave it alone. Those cheap takealot tds pens are perfect for this scenario. Measure what you putting in, measure what's coming out and you will know straight away what's the potential problem

  21. I have a mate who got one of those. If you can lay down the dollar for that by all means go for it. It's an awesome piece of kit. I'm gonna go the DIY route though. I just ordered a 45L/min air pump and I'm not sure whether its strong enough for a vortex system It should be fine for this airlift brewer but ideally I wanna do a vortex
