  1. Do you bud wash? I always wash my bud, after seeing how dirty bud can be I prefer to wash it. I use a bucket with a mix of Lemon Juice and Bicarb of Soda and then I use another bucket or two of plain tap water. Curious to see if others also wash their bud and what their reasons are for washing or not washing their bud.

  2. Yeah true story... like now my 2 plants are hang drying in a room at 80% humidity. I don't have a choice but no way am i compromising the other gals for these 2 early birds. I just got the fan a little more directly at them so that the plant can die fully and I'll be safe from kak. Usually I dial in my dry room with both a dehumidifier and ac. 50% humidity for 1st 2 days and then 65% for the rest. All at 20C. Don't tell anyone but I'm using my daughters room as a dry room for now cos she's gone to the grandparents for a holiday

  3. CBD #1 Amnesia Haze x CBD Landrace The most terpiest plant I've grown to date. I cannot even explain how tasty this strain is... sour grapes green apple thing going on... It's supposed to be a 1:1 but kicks like a horse... cannot wait for her to finish so I can stop stealing colas from her. She is one of 3 different phenos that I found. CBD #3 is purple even her calyxs and bracts. Will be breeding CBD #1 to try and preserve as much of her as I can. She was a pleasure to grow, never skipped a beat. I don't usually keep more then 1 pheno of a strain but #3 clones have to be kept just because of her looks well Atleast till the 1st smoke test.

  5. So my indoor days are almost done for the year. Just finishing off one last plant that started flowering outdoor in October. Seeing that my dog loves destroying my outdoor grows (it's an new thing for her) I had to build an net house. 2x3m by 1.5m high. Looking do grow 4 photo period plants and some autos. 7. Often the assumption is that a bud wash is only necessary for outdoor plants or when PM is had. Although one would be very surprised how much fine dust, hair and general fluffs can enter the average indoor grow space. I've known about bud washing and it shows through those who have used it to be a great enhancer to one's bud, but I haven't really been that interested in doing it myself as of yet. Might just do a wash on one half of my current grow as a comparison

  8. Mambawana is all about sharing my kzn brother, genetics, buds, gear... anything anyone in need needs... Just don't ever tell his wife she thinks he shares too much. Had to reassure her that I will NEVER share her...

  9. Don't worry soon you will be in a position where you don't have to buy weed again. 2020 spoil yourself with a tent and accessories so that you can grow enough to pull you through... before you know it you will also be growing multiple flavours 1 time.

  10. I think being in different locations affects the drying process, I imagine the RH in Durban to be quite high compared to Gauteng. So drying bud in Durban would naturally take longer than in Gauteng. After a few days of drying bud in a tent, the RH starts to drop below where you want it to be. So around this point is when I put mine into a jar with boveda packs.

  11. @Bakstein420 I think it has alot to do with people rushing the drying and curing. Some will say what I'm about to say is a waste of time but I hang dry for 2 weeks. Note I start plucking heads of it to smoke after like 5 days. After 2 weeks I put them in ziplocks and that's were they stay till it's all finished. I don't trim my weed. When I pull a head out it must look like a litchi with its peel on... It's like my party trick...

  12. @Mambawana beautiful looking buds you've grown there mate. I'm totally convinced that most members here harvest product that is "head and shoulders" above that R180 per a gram peeps are asking for on the streets for quality indoor. It's all about the passion for the plant and not the month end turnover.

  13. Wait for the Wedding Cake #2, the pheno I chose to breed. Everything about her beats pheno #1. I'm also interested to see how #4 turned out, it's the pheno that had that crazy mutation I posted before. The main bud looks like a mini rugby ball. Just feels it's lacking the strong smell the others have so I moved her clones outdoors. I'm waiting to try the other phenos of the CBD to gauge what's happening cos I bought that strain for my wife but it's kicking my butt so imagine what's it going to do to her. Maybe it's a cbd thing, I have gorilla cbd 2:1 by dinafem ready to be moved into the flower room so perhaps after that I will know a little more about these cbds

  14. Geez, the Wedding Cake looks superb. The CBD Critical Mass I grew was also extremely terpy and for a 1:1 ratio (6 - 8% apparently) it packed quite a punch too. I wonder if its a CBD thing or if we just got lucky.

  18. So I have not taken any pictures, will do so when I get a chance to. I should have put her into a larger pot but did not and she has now stared flowering so do not want to mess with her - so she shall be staying in the same sized pot until ready for harvest. I have some Blackberry Kush pollen ready for when there are more pistils. I did some LST as well to try get more branches and a flat canopy. This is not going to be a very big auto, although at this point am mainly doing it for the sake of it and the seeds. The colour from her is what intrigues me the most. Expecting some colour to come through within the next 2 weeks.

  19. Very cool, I like what you have built. Which breeder is the Wedding Cake from?

  20. The Grandaddy Banner, Bruce Banner and GSC all have dense, hard buds and are full of trichomes and have some nice colour coming through during flower. I personally prefer the BB and GSC the most out of the 3 and I have smoked the GSC the most, although it was one of my lowest yielding plants actually.

  21. So last night I finally got around to pollinating the Grape Diamonds with some Grape Diamonds pollen and hosed her down this morning - a bit gentler this time so she does not need any additional support for now. All plants looking good, the Inzane is coming along nicely with the seeds forming. Man Cookies #1 looking hella frosty! I wish my phone was better at taking pics of bud. The Man Cookies #2 has stretched a looot, a lot more than I anticipated as well so I had to bend some of the branches and tie them down to try and even out the canopy a bit. Before any additional training on the Man Cookies #2 One branch done: All the branches done: I must admit I have been neglecting this grow a bit due to life, however so far the results still appear to be decent. I have started giving 2 of the plants ripening nutes and will probably start flushing the Man Cookies #1 in a week or so and will be using some Florakleen to flush.
