  1. My opinion and not facts... Ripe trichiomes break of its stalk too easily for my liking. Bicarb darkens pistils and changes bag appeal. Terpines are too fragile for me to mess with... another reason I don't trim my weed. So a bud wash is a definitely NO for me personally... cleanliness in all grow practices is sufficient for my standards. And trust me guys I love checking out my buds through a loupe. I mean who doesn't... The irony of this topic is I had a guy send me pics today of his plant hanging and drip drying after a h2O2/water wash because he got PM and needed to salvage what he could. So you can't blame people for assuming that this practice is inherent from PM. Cats & dogs inside and growing indoors can be a nasty mix and I think in that situation requires a wash.

  2. Terpines and cannbinoids. Cannabis plants are genetically predisposed to develop both, but the profiles of each can be influenced to a degree by eviromental factors (medium, nutes, growstyle, light) I have found that terpine profiles become more complex if harvested later. We enjoy an interesting and enjoyable smooth smoke more than getting smacked with 10pounds of thc. Just my 10c Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  4. Very innovative. I like the idea.. Indoor guys might be worried about light leak.. I do not have a clue about indoor but I like the idea. Might want to use the bottom part though in the future. Good job man..

  5. Last season I washed most of the harvest. What I have found is that there is a definite advantage to it but what I did not like was the fact that my washed bud turned out far more pale in comparison to the un washed bud. It does not look as appealing. If at all possible I will do some propper testing this season.

  7. It is really easy to make with a few supplies. Small Baskets from a plastic shop with stockings over it if holes are too big. Only thing I found was DC fans worked best with the restrictions caused by the carbon. But that wouldnt be an issue if you have proper ventilation fans. I will post pics of the filters I'm building. Bru I diy almost everything. One day I will post real detailed pics of my grow set-up showcasing everything that can be diy'd.

  8. Mambawana is all about sharing my kzn brother, genetics, buds, gear... anything anyone in need needs... Just don't ever tell his wife she thinks he shares too much. Had to reassure her that I will NEVER share her...

  9. Yeah I would start over. You still have time. I think you started the plant too early so they went straight into flower. I don't agree with the bag seed though. Buy some seeds and try again. And most of all don't be discouraged from this. You become a better grower after every failure. And if you live in kzn. I have plenty extra clones for you now that Mr cannabist has reappeared and says he dispatching my seeds on Thursday.

  10. I'm by no mean experienced but according to me, if the plant is growing fine and not showing any other deficiencies other that the purple stems it could be either weather (cold) or a phenotype of the strain... I would not worry to much, if the only issue you have is purple stems then you are okay

  13. Surprised there aren't more pipe smokers... I typically smoke more pipes than bongs, and more bongs than joints. Pipes are quick and easy... Just suck to clean (don't actually suck... Backshot is not fun lol)... It takes time to find a pipe that's right for you... I have about 20 all over here and there.. Different sizes, bowl capacity.. Glass, wood, aluminum, steel... Pipe is great for me on the go, doesn't make my fingers or clothes smell of weed. Bong is the home time luxury... And joints are with friends or when the above are blocked and I'm not lis to clean either
