A pressure sprayer is a must have for all growers haha... You can get a 1l bottle or the 2l... I went with the 2l... It really does make Foliar a pleasure... Especially if you have a few plants. For PM I use a special mix of milk and humic acids and a wetting agent. Makes pm vanish, and helps deter little bugs too... Just leaves the grow a Lil stinky... And unsightly... But the plants love the milk... fucken love the milk. I bought peroxide once... But as I don't run a sterile DWC setup I have little use for it... I went up to 10% solution trying to get rid of PM but failed sadly... Eventually stopped using it for growing and used it with bicarb to get rid of cat piss stains and smells3 points

Why? Not sure how to answer that but I'll tell you this. I've already been using it for a while now at the correct dosage and it's increased plant vigour, health and yield. Just thought I'd share an overdose for those that are using or planning on using it. Flowering additives like big bud etc all have triacontanol in it. Also people use alfalfa meal in their compost teas which is also a source of triacontanol. I also spray my plants with Afrikelp 10x Amino K Seabrix All have triacontanol in it. So ultimately the biggest benefit would be its a photosynthesis facilitator and increases crop production.2 points

@CreX So I'm guessing you spraying the milk/water mix in flower right? Cos that's when you most likely to get pm. Doesn't it turn the pistils brown? I would love to give it a try when I spot pm again.2 points

@Mr_Nice_Guy Buddy I'm off the opinion that with a little more work you can turn that into a perfectly fine grow cupboard and take atleast 2 plants seed to harvest. It needs a hole for passive intake maybe bottom left. It needs an active exhaust i.e. the same pc fan you have, somewhere on the top back maybe. Make both holes the size of the inside of the fan. Bottom hole put some sort of small cover on the outside that blocks light from the top & sides and sucks air from the bottom. Some sort of net by the hole as a filter to stop small critters To seal light leaks is extremely easy. Buy the black foam type weather seal strip. Checkers, pick n pay all sell it. So squeeze yourself inside and get someone to close it. Then just stick it on the inside where you see the light by the hinges etc and on the door side too so both touch when doors are closed. Mount 2 hooks to the roof for a light to hang from. You can be quiet imaginative with the bottom e.g. auto draining tray, makes watering the plants a happy task every single time. Use the light you have for now for propagation and just upgrade it to something a little better when you can. Aircon places sell a cheap insulation foam board that's reflective that would really beneficial to avoid condensation. You can do that later on too. You will be amazed how once your cupboard is running how you start looking for little upgrades everytime you take the wife/gf shopping. Anyway my opinion is based on personal experience and your cupboard is alot more larnee then in what I started. And please the most important thing is use decent genetics.2 points

You just asked me a question in the triacontanol that you have asked me before. We have to keep asking until we try it ourselves then we won't forget.1 point

I am sure you asked this question in my STS thread. It does not brown the pistils, however I did not dilute my milk on the last spray and I feel that caused issues for me so I would recommend diluting the milk with some water - how much exactly, not sure... Maybe 50 to 70% milk. I also always use a wetting agent when doing any foliar sprays, I use an organic one which works pretty well.1 point

@Ill_Evan hhhhhh me thinks 3 weeks plus two weeks cloning is enough... these bitches(excuse my French) grow way to wild! But yah i grow for quantity not quality.1 point

I did use it in flower, but I don't remember if it browned the pistils actually... No? I would have noted that.. Pistols stayed white... Maybe a bit dirty looking from the humic acids but not brown @PsyCLown used milk recently maybe he can remember hehe1 point

I never claimed it was illegal, so not sure where exactly you pulled that out of. If you make a product you need to state its contents, this how things get their approvals from the governing body, really nothing more to it. Everything I’ve looked at about bud candy mentions nothing of the compound but a mix of pk with amino acids etc. I never asked about your yields, nor do I actually care. I was merely curious if you did a control group test of these hormones to see if there was a definitive difference, unfortunately if you have no control group the results are subjective. Anyways keep well.1 point

Yeah I agree. Was merely motivating that the cupboard can be transformed into something worthy of flowering and he shouldn't dis or let anyone dis his cupboard. Personally I do both, no issues. But I will admit outdoor is more forgiving and alot less work. I only tend to my outdoor plants just before I jump into the shower. I have a phobia of garden hitchhikers.1 point

It's a pretty well known fact giving plants growth hormones at certain stages of development can actually have adverse reactions, I used it once as a test and really did not notice any benefit worth the cost or effort to use.1 point

Your method seems fine... Maybe speak to the guy you got it from... See if others have been having similar issues with the beans. And in the meantime... Soak a new batch1 point

Is the paper towel not drying out? I soak the seeds until they sink to the bottom, usually 12-16 hours. Then place them in paper towel and put that in a zip lock bag, keeps them from drying out. Then the ziplock bag stays under my modem where it is nice and warm. Doing the above I have had great success with seeds usually popping within 48 hours.1 point

@Mambawana I use Neem oil in vegetative stage, but not to be applied to flowering plants as that it stays on the buds.1 point

I didn't play around to much with the spraying of h2o2 to cure issues. I sprayed some outdoor plants for pm and . It turned the pistils brown. The pm came back in a few days. So I've always afterwards only used it for sterilization and not against pests. I once had drain flies living in my dwc. I use to remove plants from their buckets and spray the insides, the net pot, under the cover etc. They just came back. So then I use to put the whole root ball and net pot into a h2o2/water mix to try kill larvae in the hydroton/rockwool. They didn't do any damage, it was just freaky seeing larvae swimming in the res. So I bought some neem and it solved the problem one time. Nowadays I use a handful of different organic pesticides and I try to spray veg plants once a week sometimes every 2 weeks. I dropped the ball recently before Christmas and didn't spray my guinea pig plants and wait a day. I noticed very minor thrip damage in flower room so I just mixed 2 products and sprayed all my veg plants as preventative. Ended up burning all new growth tips and young leaves. I was pissed with myself. Sprayed on Christmas day with a little amino-K and they recovering well. Just my 2c, when you can afford to, buy an organic pesticide even if it's just neem.1 point

Don't fix the light to the top. Suspend it so you kan lower and lift it up then you can move it up as the plant grows. You should be able to grow two nice plants in there if you train it correctly..1 point

Yes, by the time you are looking at mostly amber on your bud, THC has already started oxidizing. Milky trichomes are THC at its peak. But harvesting while still clear is pointless. Cannabinoids are still in building block pieces Ie. Not quite THC yet. That causes a paranoia high. Kind of like taking a research chemical that is supposed to emulate LSD. You trip for sure but it's just not LSD, and the results are usually negative1 point
