Yo @Mambawana happy 2020 to you to my bru, hope its filled with the dankness! I think life is like a box o chocolates and people are like licorice all sorts i dont really mind if somebody wants to criticize me or prove me wrong (the only way to learn sometimes, and my own mistakes), everybody has the right to their opinion, sometimes things are a bit fkdup, but the mods do a good job I think. I know some okes are blazing on some super positive strains, while others are klapping kinda opiate "og" type weed, discussions won't always go smooth. I dig variety and I must say I would hate it if everybody just agreed etc etc, while some comments on the net can heat us up, its not life, and with weed, well she usually speaks for herself anyway, I just try and give her a good life. Thanks for the kind words man, im really just smoking on too much good herb, not hard to see the silver linings, stay blessed up brother, fkkken amped to see that fire you going Electic Watermelon got my attention for sure dude!2 points

Welcome to the group @Chris Jay , sounds lekker man, the Cannabis community in SA will be unique that is for sure, sorry to hear about the social things, FB is another monster hahaha. Here on the forum its pretty chilled, rep doesnt mean that much I think, users enjoy sharing the cannabis love and helping each other growing better herb, a nice vibe. About the quality of seeds/flower, its like that all over the world, people arrive in Amterdamn thinking all the bud is top shelf, this is hardly true, about 60% (prob more) of the coffee shops have really crappy weed. Same goes for seeds, its a big business so not all have ethics required. But with that said grew some killer bud from Holland seeds recently, not bad at all, was from Dinafem freebies nogals, thought it would be mediocore but excellent smoke and bagappeal.2 points

NORML South Africa was established in 2008 and has been active in the growing cannabis culture scene. Over the past year, NORML has hosted activism events in conjunction with other cannabis organisations and still supports the Dagga Party of South Africa, a registered pro-cannabis political party. Cannabis Law On the 18th of September 2018, Judge Dennis Davis passed a landmark ruling in the Cape Town High Court that cannabis essentially be decriminalized for private adult use. Although there are no defined limitations to this progressive ruling, a lot of arrests have still been taking place. Fields of Green For All in South Africa is an activist group that has been fighting the laws for several years and they support people through their organisation that have been either charged or arrested for possession of cannabis. They are still dealing with daily calls and emails from victims who have been arrested. Full Article1 point

"and even a cannabis dispensary retail store are now doing business.." Thought ol' uncle Russ was in the slammer Maybe Cannapax not the only cannabis dispensary retail store around.. although many Cannapax did open under alternative trading names. Wonder if they are still operating, the ones that didn't get directly shutdown Otherwise, I'll agree that cannabis in South Africa has achieved quite a bit in 2019, which the article wishes to express. I've spoken to people during the year I would never have though would have been remotely interested or know of cannabis, and I thino the populace is opening up to it gradually. As far as I understand, the flower and concentrate cannabis cups come across as close-knit and probably for obvious reasons. I haven't come across many open invites to such events. But I like you pushing the Agricultural Show as a means of displaying one's plants to those who would usually not come across it otherwise Awesome stuff @Chris Jay, keep it coming ✌1 point

We having such heavy winds lately I think my trichomes are just floating with the wind. No I dont think I will ever mission to wash my buds. I have water cured before, once. Interesting topic though.1 point

I am certain its legal here in SA. It might be classifed as an invasive, there is a very similar plant in my garden, beautiful purple flowers to, just has hairy leaves. I am sure it is not indigenous and considered invasive, so divine sage will would fall under that. Legally, I think it is banned in a couple countries or states in america. @CreX So to the guys who rate Cannapax is illegal dont you dare consider planting it in your garden, wait till government passes laws to make it legal. Just a sick joke, spread it far and wide.1 point
-
@CreX Yeah mine are also 6500k, Flash brand locally made and just for longevity i have a USB fan blowing on them. They work and they cheap! Recently I bought their T5 Led tubes to do my cloning, works like a charm!1 point

So between then and now, last year and this new year, I have gone into the veg area and heavily cut back and trimmed and defoliated and this is the result. Nice smooth ladies Bloom is another story... Iv had to flatten the canopy to scrog it and what a mission that was lol, they all responded very well to the adjustment and I'll get a Pic up when they wake up1 point

I have an Acdc 6500k led flood light. Rated at 150w, and man... It's fucken great, my veg plants absolutely love it and I think I might get more in the future. It pushes out double the luminous intensity as my Nova LED lights. Not entirely sure it's full spectrum though, so it might not do as great as you hope in bloom due to that.1 point

Hope everyone has recovered form NYE partying, I can finally relax myself did harvest yesterday, took me 5 hrs!!! But an overall good yield. Once again my Sativa girl grew out of control. Today I sterilized the whole place, and de-dusted the lights (wish they made it easier to clean the fans) The Sativa (generation 7) and Purple Haze (generation 2) clones are in their reservoir, and the flowering girls (generation 6) & ( generation 1 ) under the flowering lights, gave them some LST, well more of an high stress training this time. boom two days of work but all worth it. I've not tried flowering only under the cheap flood lights but I am impressed by how they grow during veg and the first two weeks of flowering. Good luck to all you growers out there for 2020!... @Dank Too true... yeah I'm also blazing like a king. It really is hard at times making that choice of what I want to smoke and I love it. I wish my variety on everyone. And the flavours keep adding up. Found 2 terpine packed phenos this round that are so tasty. Check these ladies rushing for some of that watermelon... day 10 in the dome. They already in their solo cups and ready to be topped. Awaiting flower room to come down so we can kick off but don't look like my gals want to finish anytime this year...1 point

One obvervation... That 20l bucket will no ways be light enough to rewater... Maybe every 3rd or longer. You should almost be able to pick the pot up with ease with one hand.1 point

The one perc about Salvia divinorum, it's legal I think world wide. Which is great haha1 point
-
Yo @PsyCLown @CreX , all good, he is a pretty chilled dude, not sure if it is legal in SA, wouldn't wan't to get him into any kind of potential troubles. Going to mention all the interest in the cuttings, im sure he'll be stoked to share. I tried some xTract once, or twice.. next level, lol1 point

Hi thank you for the response . She is being fed on a PH of 6.5. In living soil I got from the grow station . She is in week 3 of flower now . Feeding schedule is every second day as she is leaving the soil dry by mid second day . Grow room temps are around 24 degrees . She is next to the window so she should be cool . It's just her that has been affected and it's just the one top . I have main lined her in veg . She is on a diet of only bloom and micro now aswell . She is under about 200w of a home made cob led lighting solution . Sorry for the lack of spaces , beginning to panic .1 point

@SuMi Buddy could be 1 of many things... Lights too close, underwatering, the branch could be almost snapped at its base and many many other causes. Maybe share some more info so the guys here can offer accurate advice. A full pic of the plant. How long since flip? Are all the tops showing this issue? What, how and when you feed? How often? What medium you using? Ph and ec? Lighting? Grow room temps, etc? Is this plant closest to your circulation fan? How any plants you have and how many affected?1 point

Happy 2020 fellow greenfingers Mister @Dank Vanilla kush Cookie ladies are doing grand. The greenhouse lady has started pushing pistils and the outdoor lady (far right) isn't far behind. They are handling our summer heat well, using more water than usual as can be expected. Can't go without a watering for more than 3 days- dankie tog vir die Jojo. Feeding Seagrow and molasses, started introducing the Ecobuz as it's nutrient profile leans more towards flowering. When they properly set in flower I'll mix them some bloom juice . Keep it green. Cheers1 point

@Dank I really enjoy being part of this forum, it's surely a sign of the community that's slowly growing in sa. There's just one disappointing trait that a few here have and it's really off putting. People that are associated with cannabis are usually the coolest blokes on the block and appreciate life and each other's contributions. Here there are those that are hell bent on proving others wrong at every chance instead of lighting one up and sharing their views in a decent manner. It has on a few occasions made me feel that I should just go about my business on my own in the shadows like I've done for many years. But then there are guys like you that show there is hope for growing this into something bigger. Kind souls that see the bigger picture and motivate others. Keep being the person you are. Happy 2020 bru... Cheers to the day when our genetics will be known and sorted after... locally and internationally... And a Happy 2020 to everyone here. Hoping on a clean slate with new positive attitudes.1 point

Yes. Start flowering a few weeks ago. Outside since beginning of November. I am making a cross with a russian haze auto.1 point

Yeah, with the negative pressures in my tents as soon as I open the door stuff gets sucked inside the tent. After doing a bud wash and looking at the colour of the water, you really do not want to go back to not doing a bud wash.1 point

@CreX let me know if you come right, may be keen on a plant too. When I last had some Salvia it felt like those R2 rides, light up and the same shit again and again. haha @Dank think your friend may be able to help us guys in Gauteng out too? I also have no clue how fast they grow or how easy they are to clone.1 point

I haven't had Salvia in a while, I'd also like to have a plant or 2 Iv found euphoric effects if mixed with weed... Very pleasant1 point

Ah forgot to mention, it was Malberry Haze by something I stupidly started about 8 years ago. Was lank amped to offer people things. Damn if I could show you posts from our cannabis community, both here and FB. Its actually the reason I joined here to respond to people I only helped. Not playing victim, happened again yesterday on FB. Shared a post www.mastergu.co.za and sadly someone I respect, posted immediately, fake, joke etc. They to have not supported mastergu, never grown his stuff. That dude has been growing cannabis for decades and made a strain for his medical conditions. But anyway I agree some of the comments, local is not always lekker. Hence I diverted attention overseas and damn has a new world opened up. Anything is possible guys, do what you need to do, support guys doing things. If you get a bad gut feel walk away. Amped that Jeremy Acton is still growing some of my old crossed seeds. He seems to enjoy them. Hopefully he going to share back to. What a man that is, a true cannabis tarrie smoking warrior.1 point

Totally true. I hit a dingy pub late a couple weeks ago, a couple canes down and a few joints. Strange dreadlock man sitting in the corner with a glint in his eye. He went outside to roll one and gave me and my mate an invite. Went outside, started chatting, puffed his joint and knew where he got it from. Wink wink. Bush telegraph works in strange ways. Awesome content @Dank. Give me a shout in a couple weeks. I will give you some Fire OG direct from Reeferman when it arrives to help your efforts.1 point

Very kind of you and the same sentiments straight back at you. Thank you for the invite, joined and reading. Love little grassroots initiatives. Cheers again.1 point

High Guys Decided to give our local and lekker forum a go again. Always good being part of communities especially having something in common, cannabis. Looking forward to an exciting new year. For those of you that dont know. I used to run a forum long ago on weed.co.za, after a couple years, building wifi networks and a new life on a farm in the eastern cape I got involved in the cannabiz again. Its going into its 3rd year now and going from strength to strength. Looking forward to 2020 and building more networks and overgrow the system. Trust you all have had a good 2019 and wishing you the best in 2020. Chris. www.instagram.com/cannabispromoter www.facebook.com/groups/freedomtogrow1 point

Happy New Year 420SA fam! Some nug shots from the two BlueberryKush f2's, stoked with how they turned out in the not so optimal setup. Quick update about the ChocoNL 3 from Totemic, the smoke is super tasty after about a month cure, almost like a berry liquorice og, very nice High is very good and longer lasting that a lot of other popular strains out. The stretchier plant of the two have a more tangy taste, where the smaller bushier plant has a nice creamy flavor with more subtle berries on the exhale. The shorter plant should have been harvested earlier so might have affected the taste somewhat. The high is strong and long lasting, the stretchier bud could be a bit psycoactive for some new users in large joint or bongs.1 point

@Mambawana Not yet. Most of the seedbanks offering his seeds are frauds at the moment. For instance if you look at seedsman, majority of stock are not in stock. But they will be available this year.1 point
-
@Chris Jay What exactly does this mean? You going to be carrying Reefer Man's gear and make it available here locally?1 point
-
Many thanks for your positive vibrations. As the clock struck 12, the deal was concluded. Just going to be finalised with another partner, but already been retained by reeferman. My mind is blown man, simply put I am a consultant/freelancer for Reeferman, documenting his life and cannabis cup wins for his old brand. The original, not the copycat, the real deal. I loooooooove original people. This season. Not too much. If you check out my IG #cannabispromoter account its all plastered there. Mainly GSR genetics, sour gelato, black poison and a couple other durban varieties through other sources. Working on an african genetics project with a couple lads, here, there and everywhere. Hitting the hay, with a smile on my face.1 point

@Chris Jay All the luck in your endeavors. Sounds like you packing some fire there. What you got going this season?1 point

To my friends, family, haters, please hold thumbs for me. Just submitted my proposal for one of the worlds most well known breeders. Hopefully he is an agreement and 2020 will be a bumper year whatever comes my way.1 point

@Chris Jay hey Chris... I agree with the having balls part... Especially when it was done in such a sloppy manner... It was found that he wasn't even registered with the Traditional Healers Association of SA, they have publicly stated this. On top of everything he's business was not even registered with the CIPC (where all new businesses must be registered and tax registered). And the part where it all makes Russell a bad person is he knew this. He knew a traditional healers license wouldn't fly... (Heck if you read the license it even stipulates cannabis does not fall under the traditional healers lisense.)... He knew what he was doing was totally illegal, and convinced eager franchisee's otherwise and took their money. The ONLY way to become legalised is through SAHPRA... And it's damn difficult. I know coz I'm applying to them in the coming months. Trying to make out the application form is hell on its own. You need to register the business, find a registered pharmacist to be apart of it, produce a 'Site Master File'. Make the building impenetrable from tanks, and set up the grow room to follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines, which basically means having a grow op similar to the legal Canadian grow facilities (for example) in terms of quality control including the production, packaging and transportation aspects. It's no joke but hey, where there's a will, there's a way... My point is through what I've read on forums of guys visiting Cannapax's Russell couldn't pass a quality control assessment even if it... Happy New Year all!!1 point
-
Listen you can flagellate Russel all you want, fact is he did it, it’s done and now he’s in Jail, he thought he was above the law with that flimsy piece of traditional healers crap, which was the biggest joke there ever was. As for how it was done, you would need to go and speak to those owners, but they’re unlikely to come forward.1 point
-
With alot of difficulty. Wrapped cardboard around them, sealed with masking tape and covered with a Sharks flag. They were little pap when I got them there as they had also been repotted into display post. When I left, I put them straight on the back of my bakkie, openview and drove past 6 police officers who laughed and pointed. Dont forget car is your private space. Stopped at my local for a beer to celebrate with the plants on the back.1 point

For real @Mambawana that would be cool, and probably a reality as the laws normalize around cannabis worldwide. Kev is a legend, he is one of the big reasons breeders in California are getting recognition and continuing to grow that fire. Also in a way prob the reason that I have a bit of fire from Cali. I dig his view about how anybody can sift for their location/tastes/experiences and breed something truly unique that you can enjoy and share. Busy drying out some BlueberryKush f2's that came straight outa Cali, from a oldtimer breeder dude in LA (got the beans for free as well), will post a nugshot or two when i jar em up. I keep beans from Europe and those from the States separate, most big seed companies in Europe sift through 1000s, and some do 10s of 1000s of plants every 4 months, California has thousands of growers and loads of breeders. There is a lot of collaboration between breeders from the States and EU. Some dank coming from the EU as well, however they are relying a bit on genetics from the states for their "new stuff". Sjo Mendo Dope boyties are serious, will have to check that out! Will invite Cannabist to the breeder group, not sure if he could see the mention.1 point

Been doing extraction with bho for ages - I can't smoke... cost effective butane is the way to get ahead if volumes are bigger - or get a contract extractor to help - I am investigating doing just that (ie becoming a contract extractor)1 point
