  1. Decoy back in the illegal days were very different... I had a big fish tank with water falls and alot of airstones to camouflage the strange sounds coming from the grow cupboard I grew in. Worked like a charm...

  2. Camouflaging plants is much more difficult and according to a very good source, cannabis can be pinpointed via satellite within 2 metre squares. Its done through the colours I think. Traditional african way is with mielies, very clever and a necessity. Other ways I used to use when it was highly illegal and I was living in a townhouse was using extreme strains ( ducksfoot and pine tar kush ) , also training plants, you can literally make a plant grow along the ground, behind pots,or anywhere you like. My mother caught me growing when I was 16, told her it was a biology experiment. Had it under a little bit of lightin my room, put it outside for some sun. She was no dumbass. So quickly had to remove it, planted it in soiil behind a hedge at a mates place. Trust my luck went away over december holidays came back to my mate in trouble, the plant had towered above the hedge and could be viewed throughout the garden. So it was harvested early and dried on the roof. Smoking less weed since it was legal - Back to topic stoners.

  3. Thats companion planting. My decoy plants are literally decoys. I was so excited about the judgement on the 18th that I planted two bushes outside my front door ( decoy plants ). Its plants you can show people with no problems and no paranoia. ie when the cops drove past me, I stood in front of a 3 metre bush and pointed in the other direction ( decoy ). Old grower mate taught me the art of decoy.

  4. Well marigolds I hear are good pest deterrents... The decoy plant should be a weed plant thats in flower. So when someone smells weed and they see the few plants that are in view in your yard they wouldn't assume you growing the real dank indoors... Came in handy on new years day when had people over for a braai. They had no idea that the smell was actually coming from inside. Plus the decoy plants are good for testing purposes i.e. blooming additives, pesticide dosing, etc.

  5. I've posted my decoy plants before. It's a plant grown outdoors that flowers whilst your gals indoors are flowering. So when the indoor gals start to stink up the neighborhood and by chance someone follows the smell and peeps into your yard... They see your outdoor plants and associate the smell with that plant.

  6. Touché and in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more People talking without speaking People hearing without listening People writing songs that voices never share And no one dared Disturb the sound of silence "Fools, " said I, "You do not know Silence, like a cancer, grows Hear my words that I might teach you Take my arms that I might reach you" But my words, like silent raindrops fell And echoed in the wells, of silence And the people bowed and prayed To the neon god they made And the sign flashed out its warning In the words that it was forming And the sign said, "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls And tenement halls" And whispered in the sounds of silence Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. From a different time. Some of the most evocative lyrics ever even today. The state of nature conservation in our country is...''like a cancer'' Hats off to those involved trying to protect what little is left. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  7. Make sure the seeds and pollen has dried properly, otherwise they can get mould and such. A good way to prevent that and control the humidity is to use some desiccant. I like to use silica gel, the colour changing ones - that way I know if there is / was an issue and I need to change out the silica. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  9. So here is some local culture, reggae. Known Bushy for years, he is a brother. We made this video together, his first music video. It was a great pleasure and wonderful experience. Hope you enjoy the music. Below is another video from his new group Soldiers in Jah Army who I recently promoted in EC. Had an awesome time, lots of weed.

  10. @Chris Jay I'm guilty again for drifting off topic. You not making it any easier by posting a pic of camouflage... cos before you know it I will post something similar and away from topic we will go again...

  12. @Mambawana I think I posted them on my glog, but here they are again. As you can see, I probably need to do a bit of weeding and gardening after the crazy rain. the big plant is sorbet from the plug seedbank and the small one is something called currylatto (same breeder). got the seeds as freebies in some or other attitude seed bank order. The small plant got scratched out of the ground by the cat just after planting. I stuck it back in but its was fucked and I thought it was dead. after days and days of rain, it pulled a Lazarus. The big girl is doing well but getting chowed by insects and battered by the weather. I need to give it a bit of attention

  14. Not many are sure about me, even people who kinda know me are not to certain. An activist who came through to a gig was a bit nervous about being in my presence, I said that is good, he knows his place. But I am a gentleman to gentlemen, businessmen, no contract necessary!!!!! I believe in a handshake, words and loyalty. And i am fucken funny even in deathly situations, missing teeth, blood dripping I will always crack a joke. i often laugh at my own jokes. Enjoy this ride until they ban me again.

  17. I'll take a look when I can Alwys interested in learning new techniques that I can incorporate in my grow from very experienced growers. What I have found has given me the greatest drive to grow the best I can, is like minded individuals from this site. Daily updates and constructive criticism is where it's at.

  18. Marigolds leaves are serrated and would surely camouflage weed plants if you needed to hide it. And they also quite strong smelling. So makes sense why you saw that back in the day

  19. @Mambawana like marigolds? Quite a fragrant plant that has very colorful flowers to divert your gaze from the cannabis behind it. Was quite common to see 1 or 2 tress growing in marigold flower patches when I was a youngster.

  20. Hmmm growing has always been fun to me and a bit of challenge always dealing with Gaia. Dont be too paranoid, but keep your girls safe. People being busted everyday for something that is legal for private and adult use/cultivation. A good idea is to have decoy plants, something I have always done. Even had a officer and liquor license guy arriving at my house once shouting out the van saying dont worry we already have had a whiskey and smoked a joint Chris, let us in!!! They were ironically here to buy a pig. This picture was taken just after they left.

  21. A few of you guys might know this warrior. There is a currently a fundraiser for Pittrack happening on FB. Would be great if you would support an important initiative like this. I am going to smoke a joint and do some yoga. Had enough of people for oneday. "Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone 'Neath the halo of a street lamp I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light That split the night And touched the sound of silence"

  22. Yeah, it lasts long once you've got it under control. Since they're in flower you won't use it once they start to flower and once you're pest free may just be required on the odd occasion. Looking good! Eager to see some bud formation start :D Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  23. Sweet, I'll slowly add them to my repertoire. I went with pyrol, even though plants get burnt, it really works... And then the neem for preventing a come back haha. It was pretty pricey... 210 for the pyrol, and 120 for the neem, but once I have them all dead or under control, I rate those 2 bottles will last me close to a year... So in the end not so bad

  24. GML - Grand Master Level. His topping method which isn't pinching the tops works to get the canopy even. When you get a chance check out his YouTube channel. They do a live stream every week. They on another level so lots to learn. I also like pinching the stem. When it heals it's like opening another lane on the freeway for the nutrients to move to the tops.

  25. Bladdy thrips... good approach Pyrol is strong stuff. Kills even spidermites. If you like the biogrow products then neudosen must be your next purchase, it's a potassium soap that works very well on thrips.. I find the biogrow stuff expensive. I use organicide plus a garlic/canola oil mix with pyretherins in it. It's like 90 bucks and the mixing ratio is 5ml/litre. Pyrol is still the stuff I would turn to if I had an infestation.

  27. So far all 3 are exactly the same in veg. Same structure, same leaves, same height... Trying to control the height across all strains but it's getting difficult, luckily I've started spotting some amber trichs so by the looks of it the flower room should be harvested, cleaned and reset next week some time. Then its transplant, a week of veg in flower room to get the roots going and to get plants to acclimate to the 1000W and then flip. So you going to be a good 4/5 weeks ahead of me.

  30. Super cropping only works on the softer green stem... So if the long stems have wooded up, I don't mess with them. I had to super crop the plants to get them under the scrog nicely, but due to the wooded up stems, I couldn't get the net lower and had to make missions haha. @DankFiend, maybe if you have another net you can super crop them together and get to lower your light alil. From what iv seen of the fluence though, you can keep them pretty high and still get fantastic results due to the really high PAR output

  31. smoke more or less the same amount - but weirdly these days I find growing less fun. All the same, now that my girls are in flower I am as paranoid as ever.
