  1. Have you guys ever seen a dagga surf board. I see alot of people on here or for growing only But there is a world cannabis out there and WE need to support all cannabis businesses. Hemp companies in SA are getting alot of crap from the powers that be and its very difficult for them to sustain their businesses. I was fortunate enough to cross paths with an amazing hemp pioneer who was using hemp to make surfboards and deepsea *flippers*. He made a hemp board for my dad, old ballie surfer from Durbs. It was custom made on the South Coast by South Coast Customs. One of the most amazing things I have ever laid my eyes on. The leaves were from NguniSeeds strain tribal vision and super imposed on the board. I dont think the business is still running and he has moved onto bigger things. But was just reminded to me on FB about this board in memories, so thought I would share. The board is a short board, 6.4in. Its lighter, stronger and faster. An amazing gift from an amazing person. Surfs up, but you cant smoke it.

  2. Good morning All. Big thank you to Mr @Dank for giving me the opportunity to grow one of his creations.. I received these beans a while ago but due to my first introduction to the pets from hell (red spider mites) I have not germinated earlier. These Lil buggers got me so negative I almost didn't want to do a next grow. My grow space is in the garage and it's not the easiest place to keep these buggers away. I finished up the flowering ladies with a terrible infestation and even the clones I took was suffering under the red devils. Did some reading on the forum and dicided to get some pyrol and nuke them on the clones and it seemed to have worked, they resumed with normal green leaves without the little spots and also straight, no more curling. I feel like I might win this battle, now to start with a proper IPM and try some companion plants that can attract some friendlies. I germinated a few strains and for the first time I experienced damping off. What was this thing "damping off" ? Well it is spider mites cousin from the other corner of hell, death was on my door step again! The seeds all popped and they were all planted each strain x 3 I decided to go with: Kush cookies (Dank's blend) Wedding gelato Blue amnesia auto Euphoria Auto They looked healthy like normal and suddenly the first one went down, after that it was like the in thing to do amongst them and bam!! At this stage I was checking if "my guy" is still available on whatsapp cause I know this last harvest won't last and I will probably have to get some "good SHIT" from the always smiling salesman. Again I surfed the forum for advice and decided to transplant the remaining seedlings, two to be exact. The rest all dead like a seedling graveyard. Luckily one of the survivors was a Kush cookie from dank. I got some of those coco plugs and followed the advice on the forum and popped two more kush cookie seeds with the plugs and so far no damping off issues, I think the problem was maybe over watering on my side. So... I'm still growing and hopefully have the pests sorted, damping off sorted. Next round of flowering will kick off in about 2/3 weeks. The Kush cookie will be nurtured until I can take some clones for the DWC run, and flower her out to see how she smokes. (one of the 3 should be a female *positive thinking*) I will keep you guys updated with their progress.

  3. @Mambawana shot thanks bro, I have been reading a lot of your comments and they full of advice, something I never though about in DWC and I was doing it, just topping up with fresh Nutes into the res, then you mentioned that a person have no idea what the plants have been eating so topping up with Nutes can give you a build up on the elements the plant not using up. That was *ah ha* moment for me.

  4. High So fnnn amped that bubble bags are being produced locally by a very cool gent indeed. Sad to say I have not pulled my act together and made hash yet, party party party. Already had agony from the "original" bubble bag man about this bags, cause the po*s has the patent on bubble bags. Pot politrix. But even he complimented the bags design and development. Anyway. Fullmelt filtration bags are unreal, best bags I have ever seen. I have used about 3 different types of bubble bags in my life. So amped to use these, dont know what is stopping me. But here is the intro I made for the company. No this is not sponsored content was lucky enough to get sample bags because reliased I knew this guy since he was at varsity, used to help him out with his studies . So glad he decided to do this and make something much needed in SA. These bags are really the real deal in concentrates and extraction. The world is coming back to bubble hash and its only getting better. Got some unreal cherry bomb bubble hash from a mate up the north coast recently, you could smell it from a mete away. The owner is a young dude, new into cannabis but has been investigating and blowing himself up for years. I will post the final product once I have pulled my head out my arse. PS any of you guys remember my Powerpoint presentation from about 15 years ago using stockings. Would love to find it. The joint in the PPS took 20 minutes to smoke. power malawi hash was made.

  5. Damn dude!! I can't imagine dusting the whole plant.... I sprayed all my ladies with pyrol, topside and underside, and it took me 2 hours!!!

  6. Yo @SmokeyZero sorry to hear about the mites man, and big thanks for popping some beans and making a thread here on the LocalGenetics section, salut! This year has been the year of the mite so far, in severe infestations, or annoying ones (like motherplants infected) you can follow up with a generous dusting under the leaves with some diatomaceous earth (after the leaves are dry). I use a fine brush almost like a makeup brush to dust the undersides of the leaves. Then I try not to wet the leaves for a few days, DE on the topsides of the leaves will stick to the surface when it gets wet, but with a good rinse it comes of easy enough, anyhow, the DE shreds the little new born mites, a great help in the battle. DE also provides silicate to soil biology when it gets watered in eventually (silicate is responsible for nice strong cell walls). Best of luck bro, and thanks again for the plug!

  8. @SmokeyZero Shit bru sorry about all the hiccups. I'm glad you haven't given up growing. Pyrol will kill those little red devils. Neem afterwards will hamper reproduction and repeated Pyrol will kill off the remaining. Damping off sucks, I've posted alot about it to assist new growers from not suffering that fate. Overwatering or germinating seeds in a medium that's too wet definitely increases chances of it. Those coco puks you using to me are the best for germinating seeds. The main thing to always practice with seeds and clones is sanitizing everything and keeping it clean. All the luck in the days to come.

  10. New year marks a fresh start for me. Clean tent, some new gadgets, new genetics and certainly new challenges which lay ahead. Primary focus during this grow will be the 4 x herijuana plants for a fem breed, others are simply innocent spectators which will be removed when pollination takes place (you know, for the x rated stuff) :) :) :) :) Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

  11. I've had good results with Ecobuz pestpro, contains bacteria that targets spidermite. Saw it at Builders and gave it a go, now it's part of my ipm. I have also read that ash from the braai can also be used for dusting. Not sure if ash and DE have the same sharp microscopic edges. Spidermites are tough bliksems so I like to go at them from multiple angles and wipe them out. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  12. Spidermites lay their eggs underside of leaves. I have heard though that spidermites can also have some form dormancy in the medium. Worries me abit as I recycle all my indoor coco. I've used DE against fungus gnats, sprinkled it on top of the coco and bottom fed. Boy did I make a gooey mess and the gnats just laughed at me. Will give the dusting a shot one day. Defoliation as dank mentioned is always my 1st step against mites, thrips, etc. It removes alot of them and their eggs and allows better coverage with the spray. Pyrol as crex mentioned is very effective at eliminating dem mites. A few applications and that's the end of them.

  13. It's not the worst job in the world there are better and easier methods to do this, but dusting under the leaves once in a while is not too bad. Defoliating a bit beforehand can also make the job a lot easier, thought I'd mention the DE as it can help a lot with the mites.

  14. I saw a similar post, haha. Prior to decriminalization I was very wary to engage with local suppliers. I also like getting the beans from the source when possible. At least Sannies reships at no extra cost. Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk

  15. This is a fresh medium. All my plants are in the same soil. All the plants get water from the same reservoir. It has looked like this since the seed popped. I do not smoke tabaco. Growth is normal it is actually growing faster than some other plants. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  17. Well it does not seem anyone smokes less weed. So lets pull the gat out this topic. What camoflauge you talking about? I love camo, came up with my own design once. How is this for a grandaddy camo. I used to be admin on international mullet hunters association. This is one of the best kills* ever, the guy who posted it was legendary. * Kill is taking a decent shot of a mullet.

  18. If you can grow indoors outdoors will be a breeze. Plus as a bonus you growing straight in the ground. Lots of natural nutes available for the plants. In general outdoors yield way more then indoors and also way less larfies. The quality of your indoor is what would make the difference. With your outdoor give the gals a good few pesticide sprays before flower kicks in. Will give you a lead over those outdoor leaf munchers to the finish line.

  19. Yea this was just a quick one with what I had around. Need more worm castings tho. Something to help a few plants along haha. Sjoe! A tea for bloom hey? Most peeps are only interested in if it's bacteria Dom or fungi Dom as I don't think much changes in the way plants absorb nutrients in veg and bloom, other than the rate of absorbsion , and different amounts or quantities of nutrients. But, I guess you could add some ammendments like fire juice, which has amino acids and phosphorus and potassium and that would be a sweet add towards the end of your brew, last few hours as the fire juice is a bokashi mix which is anaerobic bacteria and we grow aerobic bacteria in the tea. Explogrow would be amazing. Diversity is the key, no matter what stage the plants are in, so I would get a dank soil sample from a forest or work, or somewhere where the plants are growing boss.

  20. Decided to tidy up my shit a bit after checking out some of the other Glogs on the forum. I could certainly have been more ruthless in cleaning undergrowth, but I got the canopy on the scrog as even as its going to get - although there are just too many bud sites. I suspect the worst of the post-flip-strech is over, although there might still be need to do a small bit of tucking as the plant goes into week 3 of flower. Lets see. Started from here... Now we're here... And just because she is pretty, below is some chemdawg budporn

  21. So things turned out different The plant got pretty rootbound and choices had to be made... I pulled in a joint, a cup of coffee and the spade and made a home for the lady... I dropped some compost in the bottom and added Mycoroot and Rock Phosphate just to please her... Seeing that I pulled her down a little bit earlier in the season I decided to keep going with it... She is opened up nicely and I defoliated her a little by getting rid of all those huge ass leafs. Very impressed with the size. So let's see what she does in a few weeks with all the new space...

  22. Amnesia CBD #3 Another different Amnesia CBD pheno... Very strong floral aromas, beautiful colours all the way through, deep purple calyxs... Very mild smoke though. I personally don't like the floral taste. Very average yielder. But I got to keep this cut cos the wife likes it cos it don't taste like weed and doesn't pack a punch. So this plant is probably close to 1:1 like advertised.
