  4. Week 9 Update Orange Kush Cake Harvest & Report The Orange Kush Cake was an amazing plant to grow, she was extremely forgiving, stretched nicely upon flip and ticks all the boxes. Rich terps which took over the tent and excellent trichome production. Yield: 39g Smoke Report: Even without cure, she came out brilliantly smooth. The terpene profile is an unusual mix of sweet and sour, there is certainly some elements of artificial grape smell, like Fanta Grape. But also some more complex notes. The buds are caked in trichomes (will add pictures soon) and the taste echos the smell in many ways, rich, sweet grape with hints of citrus and gas. The high is potent! A hard hitter that leaves you feeling that 'between the eyes' pressure. Sugar Cane Harvest & Report Sugar Cane grew fairly squat, but had more branching than the OKC. It was also very forgiving though. During the grow, she had almost no terps at all - couldn't even pick off enough to talk about the fragrance. No fade on her really apart from some basic late flower N-def yellowing. Yield: 43g Smoke Report: Despite the lack of terps during the grow, once drying she came to life! Heavy dosidos coming through with her, that classic sweet dank pungent smell. A few days in the jar and she's loud as fuck! Not as smooth as the OKC without a cure, though seems to be improving after a few days in the jars at least. Another hard hitter, but more productive high than the OKC. I initially thought this wasn't a keeper due to the lack of terps, but now I'm wondering whether to run my cut again with what's happened in the dry.

  5. Spidermites lay their eggs underside of leaves. I have heard though that spidermites can also have some form dormancy in the medium. Worries me abit as I recycle all my indoor coco. I've used DE against fungus gnats, sprinkled it on top of the coco and bottom fed. Boy did I make a gooey mess and the gnats just laughed at me. Will give the dusting a shot one day. Defoliation as dank mentioned is always my 1st step against mites, thrips, etc. It removes alot of them and their eggs and allows better coverage with the spray. Pyrol as crex mentioned is very effective at eliminating dem mites. A few applications and that's the end of them.

  6. Loving this thread, think I am hooked, also doing a weekly brew. Need to build myself a vortex brewer as well. Busy making some LAB serum at the moment, looking forward to using it, might also try it out for personal health. Where are you sourcing your humic acid from and granules or liquid mix?

  8. There are a few off the top of my head... UV in late flower MPK boosters Fuck.... Stoned is kicking in and I can't remember any more lol. CO2 HST techniques Custom light timings with longer dark periods close to harvest Microscope to keep track of the Amber's so you harvest on the perfect day Temperature is the key, keep the Temps at a constant cool temperature with little fluctuations is best Gotta get that VPD right Im sure others can help out with others I may have skipped. Im also here for the best I can grow!! But damn finances just never play ball a d support my habit.... Uh, I mean hobby

  9. I would like to learn the finer things on developing the trichomes to its full potential, as I understand a lot of environmental things contribute to that. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

  10. I think I may have listed the ingredients I use... But not what the American version of it is. Most important would be to read some of heisenbergs posts on some of the international forums... Your mind will be blown But if I had to give you the most basic ingredients, they would be. Humic acids - up to 5%of the tea mix, which is a fuck truckload.. I barely ever go above 0.001% of the mix or 20ml per 20l of water Molasses - a hearty table spoon full of unsulphated blackstrap mollasses *MUST be unsulphated Mycorrhizal fungi - mycoroot from Green thumb or Organics matter, about 20-30mls of the spore stones Heisenbergs recommends ancient Forrest compost as a good base for the tea, but iv found that any compost will suffice.... Even better is a cup of soil from a nearby Forrest and a cup from a different location, but also from under healthy growing plants. Another good add is EMProSoil from GThydro as it has a ton of microbes to add diversity to the brew. This stuff doesn't have a long shelf life, so I tend to use quite a bit each time, roughly 100mls And that's it!! Boom!! You can add other things like Kelpak Rock dust Oats Coffee beans Actual teabags(like one per 20l) Brown sugar And the list goes on and on!

  11. @CreX haha man i cant even pronounce that word - cyanobacteria by who? for what?.. That just sounds terrible and being a newbie i really don't want to find out what that is by making mistakes. Guess i will have to do the same research then before i get introduced to more creatures from hell. I have all the equipment to brew teas just need to get the correct ingredients sorted and then i will try a tea in the DWC system. I have 4 plants in their own RES, so i will use one of them as a test and dump the tea in there.

  12. I thought the diaries is like a religious thing and needs to be very good...... So I can start one even if I'm halfway? I don't document the grows, I just remember the problems from previous ones and memorise the present grow [emoji39] Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

  14. @CreX looking great, if i wanted to incorporate teas into my DWC, do i just brew it and add it to the reservoir? diluted or full strength? Also it feels a bit risky as i try to keep my Res clean and properly clean it between Res changes.

  15. I missed a few weeks while I was on holiday, doing lazy holiday things. So here's a catch up post, about half the tent has been chopped. - Week 8 Update During week 8, the Orange Kush Cake really started to pack on some weight and continued to fade heavily. Definitely the prize of the tent. The Alien Wedding was the fastest to finish, at week 8. The bud is nothing to go crazy over, but the fresh cut had a very distinct lemon twist scent. I did harvest a little early on this one, intentionally. But trichomes were still mature with some amber. Sugar Cane was also nearing the finished at this point, and would become the second chopped.

  16. Yeah, only removed bottom 20cm and some inner foliage of Painkiller. Mighty Grape is coming along nicely, would have liked her to be a bit bigger by now, she is very hungry and only started feeding her more now Royal Medic is looking good

  19. I've had good results with Ecobuz pestpro, contains bacteria that targets spidermite. Saw it at Builders and gave it a go, now it's part of my ipm. I have also read that ash from the braai can also be used for dusting. Not sure if ash and DE have the same sharp microscopic edges. Spidermites are tough bliksems so I like to go at them from multiple angles and wipe them out. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  22. Do the mites lay their eggs in the medium or on the plant?

  23. Outdoor you don't have to be as aggressive as indoor cos the sun penetrates. It's just a good idea to clean a good portion of the bottoms to make things less conducive for pests and pathogens.
