  1. Hi everyone, New member year. Have been lurking and reading as much as I can on this forum. Thanks for all the valuable input you guys are giving, especially to first time growers such as myself. I have 10 plants currently, 3 were forced into early flower and they are doing pretty well. Thanks for having me here

  2. What medium are you using? Coco? Hydro? Soil? If coco or soil, I feed nutes when required. With coco I quite like fertigation (constant watering, before the coco is allowed to dry out too much... generally multiple times per day). Soil it will vary, but I find I tend to water a flowering plant every 2 to 3 days in a 20L fabric pot. For hydro, well, only when needed. I also dislike using ml for nutes, rather look at getting an EC pen and start measuring and mixing nutes according to the EC or PPM. You will have better control over what your plants are getting.

  3. Wait for her to dry out a bit... So that she's light enough to carry solo, if possible. Then take a black bag and wrap the pot in the bag and tie the bag around the stem. Then you can lay her horizontally for the duration of the trip in your boot, and then bobs your Aunty you're all set! Alil medium will fall out, but that's why you have the black bag tied around the stem, it will prevent lots of dirt all over your car, and makes the whole process easier

  4. Fuck yea man!!!! The brown will never go away, so if you start with the teas as early as you can, then the roots will stay pretty and white. Congrats on the control group test!! I hope all the non believers convert due to your success Here's a Pic of the roots of some of my clones that got some tea. As for the brown roots, I would maybe cut them off completely and let the new growth do the things... The brown gunk is a food source for the bennies... But it's really unsightly and ultimately not needed. Bury what is dead

  5. Good Morning All.. I think it is the 68L tote I use as a res and about 25L water in there. Today i have some photos to show of the progress, I gave mu plants two feedings of tea so far and have kept two plants as control plants. ~ Lets do the control plants first, this plant is really suffering with a big blop of slime and roots just broke off and fell into the sterile res. This plant have not received any tea and just doing the regular cleaning and res change weekly. I call her C-1 ~ This plant will have a hard time ahead as a big part of the roots are missing now. ~ Now for C-2, she is doing okay but not thriving and her leaves shows signs that she is struggling down under ~ C-2 roots were covered in slime and i have decided to rather give her a tea than lose her completely, she received a tea 2 nights ago. ~ Now for the main plant where the tea has been tested. ~ This lady was covered by slime and no new growth at all before i started with the tea. All i did was add the tea to the res, and one cup of the tea i poured slowly over the roots. This res is going on three weeks now and only been topped up with rain water and with the teas that was brewed for 48 hrs. ~ This was my first time experiencing the brown slime and i just added a simple tea with things i had at home. ~ Thanks @CreX for the advice, you have converted a sterile grower to a tea brewing maniac. I even started getting all the parts together to do a proper vortex brewer as well.

  7. Evening [emoji561] Week 7,5 and Girls pumping. High temp but it is what it is and we adapt. DP getting fat, AT catching up slowly and the GWS not as previous grow but ok. Velvet is rock hard already, she always amazes me and nice colour. New seeds popped today and some cutting drooping abit after weekend transplant and heat most probable, will see after the weekend how the settled in. Gave flowering room a Phyta feeding of 2,7 EC the week and they all survived and just a few nute burn leaves Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

  8. Brother, I've checked your cupboard build and I take my hat out for your effort. I think having the cupboard on the balcony is a bad idea. I'm an indoor durban grower and it's difficult keeping temps down inside the house leave alone the balcony. The plants are going to be stressed out in there and produce poor results. It's also going to be an eyeball opening the grow cupboard at night amongst other issues. You better off leaving the structure of that cupboard there as a grow shelf and grow the plants in it with the sun. You could put a sun net on all the open sides to increase privacy and give the plants the greenhouse feel. I've grown many plants outdoor that the buds look indoor. Don't be down and think we not having faith. You should try convince your wife to give you a small space inside, use bribery, blackmail, whatever... from there you can slowly start taking over till half your house is dedicated to growing

  9. My apologies, should have mentioned they are in 20L fabric pots in freedom farm soil. I currently feed my plants once a week and they look very healthy so was just wondering if the mpk should be fed every day once fully in flower or to just continue as is. I will be acquiring the EC, PH etc meters in this year after this grow as funds were a bit limited after buying seeds, pots and soil. Thank you for the advice regarding the EC reading, I will definitely do it with my next grow.

  10. Okay, keep us posted. I would say that you need that in line fan... If you are not bringing fresh air into the box, the plants will not get enough carbon dioxide and your yeild will be small... What we are trying to do is simulate the perfect outdoor environment, in a closed space. What you cannot skimp on are the 3 following things. Light - you are replacing the sun, so it has to be decent Air - plants breath, and consume the little carbon dioxide in small spaces Nutrients - you need to give the plant the right food at the right stage of their lives. Without those three basic constructs, your grow will suffer. I am really just trying to guide you in a more prosperous direction. Peace and love
