  2. @PsyCLown i also grew 2 BB kush autos from dutch passion, one had the nice purple colour and the other didnt until much later and it wasnt exactly the same. It was pretty cool to see, unfortunately i had to chop them early because i was going on a trip but youre right the sugar leaves, calyxes and even some fan leaves turn dark purple. Was really cool to see. This is the one that didnt turn dark purple but got some colour later on and a dried bud from the plant. And this is her sister who had the colour and this is the bud that i got from there

  6. Check out KIS organics pod cast on YouTube. Start at the beginning. There is a lot of info on organic growing. Also books like teaming with microbes, teaming with nutrients and teaming with fungi by Jeff Lowenfels. There are allot of different views on these podcasts. And there are many different ways of enriching soils. But it is good to here views from people who have been growing for 40 plus years. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Tapatalk

  8. I have a relatively broad knowledge base regarding organics,macro/micro nutrients, rhizosphere ect... But I've haven't heard of AACT and the active inoculations before and their benefits as mentioned on this forum. Holy crap...what a difference it makes guys and girls... And proof is in the pudding... We harvested our last lady and it looked good she put on good weight and filled out beyond expectations. But I was surprized. All told 178gr dried and trimmed from a lady that stood 1.5m tall in a PEP 20lt carrier bag. This forum is beyond cool, thanks for adding to my knowledge of flora and a better insight into those ''little things''. Feed your soil is all I can say. Keep it going. 10. This is the first time I have ever tried farming cannabis for our own consumption. Im glad to have someone like@Krieg that lives close by and is always willing to assist or explain things to me relating to growing. I had to pull one plant which was a male but it was bag seed. I also had one Elixer auto cbd which is busy curing. It was extremely interesting seeing the dark purple buds and the smoke is so smooth. I am currently growing the following strains; Bruce banner #3 sprouted around 20 Sep 2019 Hulk Berry sprouted around 20 Sep 2019 Wedding gelato - flipped. sprouted around 20 Sep 2019 Lemon haze x2 - flipped one Sour grape - flipped Big bud Viente uno cbd x2. The one dog kept on eating the big bud until there was literally just a little piece of leaf left and because of all that stress that plant grew into a very nice healthy looking tree. The bruce banner, Hulk berry, wedding gelato and the cbd were grown from seed in fabric pots with a mix of freedom farm soil, just cannabis soil, some other coco peat type soil and the nutrients I use are from the hydro shop which is the Part A, B and MPK. Im currently dealing with the WPM issue with milk which seems to help. Once I month I fees them coconut milk, they seem to enjoy it, looks like they are on a happy crack trip an hour after the feeding, hope its not affecting the plants in a negative way. We are currently busy defoliating the trees but all comments and suggestions will be appreciated.

  17. Funny enough was just sitting with a 70's politcal activist who spent months in jail for anti-apartheid photography, talking about weed, the chinese, surfing and a good living life. When I first met Jules and Myrtle, I was over the moon and to a small degree underestimated the revolution they would fire up. If it were not for them, we would still be smoking seeds and sticks talking about legalization. They are the perfect couple, with brains, balls, intellect and undying energy. We can thank our lucky starts for them. The chinese. I think they will be good for Africa. Its hard to say that as I pulled my finger at asian corporate companies I worked for and ran from that crap life. But this country needs a continental shift before anything will change. This need for burning, plundering and corruption needs to stop and sadly will only stop when nothing can be taken or when the ( good people )people rise up. I do have hope in Ramaphosa, unfortunately Zuma created a very corrupt regime thats legacy will burn us for a couple more decades. No one owns the plant agreed, however greed, corruption is already showing is hungry face. The malemanoma syndrome must be culled or educated with open ears and hearts.

  18. Well the wife went to the mall and it was time to water and feed. So with the misses out of the house I fetched this monsterous plant and brought her inside and placed a fan near her to get rid of any wetness from the rain we got. After 6 hours of drying her out I continued to the next step. Instead of feeding her today I opted for a good dose of Epsom Salt and gave her a flush. From today onwards I want to keep to the 3 day cycle of watering and feeding. The buds is starting to fill out more and I can start to feel the buds getting some body and firmness The leafs at the top started to cup after that heat wave we had. I thought that was the reason, but it hasn't recovered yet. None of the other leafs lower down is doing it so I'm not to worried. At first I thought that my pH was off cause I just watered with tap water a few times before feeding due to running out of nutes......in January. And the tap water pH is 7.8 The buds themselves is super sticky and I only managed to do a very light defoliation because she is very bushy and getting in there is rather crap, but I'm keeping my eye on the plant to make sure every bud site gets as much direct sun as possible...

  19. Read my say in Politics post @Chris Jay - most people do not know how to go forward. I am just so glad that we have Myrtle and Jules trying to keep the boat on course - otherwise it could have been another ten years of unraveling the cock-ups between Imbizos, campfire talks and Zumastans, whilst everyone is eating a fat chow and the kidz go hungry. Let the Chinese in - if we must, they at least do not take shit from zulus. Its work or die. I also heard about the 'territories' owned by mafiosos and kingpins of darker inclination. Nothing belongs to the 'people' anymore. Last week I was told all game on the land belong to the zulus, and they will take what they want when they want. Hence the constitutional changes afoot so land may be stolen. Fork, I am about to resist a mining application for a farm in the middle of our peaceful cowzulunatal. No product specification, just want to mine! Se La Vie.... Its gonna take IRON BALLS to sort out the shitty legacy we have inherited due to greed of those in control. (The BRASS BALLS were sold for scrap last year...) I choose to be positive and educate one person at a time to become members of the ICANDO tribe. Noooo one owns the plant.

  21. I still have nightmares about a confrontation I had with a black mamba while learning to drive by myself in sugar cane fields on the Natal north coast. The mamba lifted up from the right fender and tried going for me through the windscreen. Have a huge amount of snakes around me, shame girlfriend almost stepped on a puffy this week while tending the goats. As long as they not around my animals I have no problem with them and always try and relocate snakes. Out dangerous snakes in EC are cape cobra, rinkhals and puffy. Below are a couple other entries I would like to enter to this months POTM.

  22. I've lived in this area most of my 4 decades. There is bush, veld and forests all around us here. Encountered a few... The good. Many bush snakes, rescued a number of red lip heralds and 1 or 2 brown house snakes and a small rock python. The bad. Mozambique spitters, Green mambas, rinkhals. Relocated by the local snake catcher... I'll corner them with a long pole so the don't disappear and wear glasses for the spitters. The ugly. Black mambas, puffy's, night adders and gaboon adders.... I stay the f$@k away from. Black mambas are the worst and they are much faster than you think.. lightning quick. Identification/education is the key, I studied a few books. If you know which ones are non venomous and which aren't, it helps a lot. People shouldnt blindly go about killing all snakes, they control many pests and vermin. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  23. @420sake and that is the problem 420sake. I sat with someone yesterday who is involved with chinese investors looking at licensing. The investors are looking at the western cape as its the easiest. They are importing all the machinery from the far east, including alot of the labour force. They could not invest in the eastern cape due to bureaucracy and they did not want to invest in Natal cause its run by a consortium of ex rugby players. I dont know how true all of this is, but as far as I am concerned the guy does know what he is talking about. I really just hope they let people grow at home, no tax, no license. Biggest problem is most governments see the tax dollars, and the ANC needs money, and generally does not have a clue what they are doing.

  24. @Oolong83 I'm not sure about humidity during flower, I did not know about that. I was a bit worried about mold if anything. But I think its a lesser of two evils situation, so I would have tried the humidity either way. However its seems like I have been exceedingly lucky. With extra air flow and misting daily they have not done any damage so far, and I'm ready to start a flush today. Very very lucky indeed. So after the flush I'll bleach the whole room and try treat my young clones somehow too... Let us know how yours go? How much damage did they do?

  26. So plans have changed, had to give this plant away and @CreX is now finishing off the growing of the auto. Last I saw it did not have any colour on it, I think I may still have 1 more seed left and I still have some pollen. I still have quite a few auto seeds, but, will need to see when I can start growing them. My setup will be changing soon and will most likely be focusing more on photoperiods.

  31. How many pics may one enter? This is all one plant, OG kush from a bag seed, so have no idea what it really was! Also grown by the ocean, in the earth, but mixed in some of my own special soil and only organic nutes and added microbes. Pink pistils/hairs, anyone ever got them? Sadly they seemed to fade as she matured!

  33. So I have not taken any pictures, will do so when I get a chance to. I should have put her into a larger pot but did not and she has now stared flowering so do not want to mess with her - so she shall be staying in the same sized pot until ready for harvest. I have some Blackberry Kush pollen ready for when there are more pistils. I did some LST as well to try get more branches and a flat canopy. This is not going to be a very big auto, although at this point am mainly doing it for the sake of it and the seeds. The colour from her is what intrigues me the most. Expecting some colour to come through within the next 2 weeks.
