I got sent some free regular Kush beans as part of a order from the States. It is apparently from a legendary Kush dad in California. I culled one male from the batch, but one special male plant emerged. The smells coming off the stalk is pungent, fruity and pukey at the same time. Pretty sure this is more HinduKush / Afgani leaning as opposed to OgKush. This bud has popped out in about a week, super fast trigger, will post some more pics as he flowers out. He will be doing some natural pollination with a few select ladies, will also collect pollen as well as take some cuttings to keep him backed up.

It's that time of the season, time for another run. Ironically about 6 hours after I started my germination, Eskom came through with their new start of load shedding. This run is heavily dominated with GMO and Chem with a little bit of something sweet in the Brown Sugar. But I'm definitely looking for some strong chemical and garlic terps in this run. I've popped 15 beans to take into account potential males, I'll be hopefully picking out the best 9 females and placing them into 25L pots for flower. They will be started under 240W of QB, then flowered under 480W of QB. Freedom Farms will be the soil of choice, but I haven't completed decided on my nutrient schedule yet, thinking of trying more organic living soil feeds than usual, maybe some compost teas, cover crops, kelp etc. - 3x Thug Pug - Mule Fuel (Reg) - 4x Archive - Face on Fire (Reg) - 3x DVG - Absinthe (Reg) - 2x Cannarado - Roasted Garlic Margy (Reg) - 1x In House - Garlic Sherbert (Fem) - 2x Cannarado - Brown Sugar (fem)

I started reading up on this over the weekend seeing as flowering time is upon us. This is what Tim Wilson of Microbe Organics had to say: " People talk about different recipes and making a fungal tea opposed to a bacterial tea anyway it doesn't really work that way as far as recipe goes. Although you can have some influence with the recipe it's more the timing. So obviously if you want to have straight bacteria in a tea it's going to be in the first probably twelve hours that you want to use it. However if you do have fungi in your compost it's going to be growing at that time as well ... Lekker, if the ladies are praying thats awesome.....have used brown sugar and oats in teas before, just make sure the brew doesn't warm up- cause the oats can start a fermentation process with the sugars=turn into a bad brew with alcohols. That training was nerve racking to say the least.....hahaha.[emoji3] Earlier attempts didn't go well, I'm thinking because they grow so fast, the stems wouldn't bend well without bad damage. So I postponed training. Also never thought they would stretch that far, but they did - so how to fix it?. Took a chance here, as I don't like to manipulate the plant that much, so late in the game due to stress issues on top of the frikken heat. Took it slow and she was recovering nicely, branches started turning upwards today. No wind breaks....thank goodness. They got fed well yesterday and tomorrow their next AACT will be ready. Hoping for best. One plant in the greenhouse I've left to grow its own way, just out of curiosity. There are always schoolfees to be paid and learning to be had. At least this I enjoy. Very cool, I haven't really thought about this much... But I can see it's value. I will go back to the the key, which is diversity. If you have established a strong microbial colony in your medium with teas, you will only be adding to the diversity with new tea recipes, bacteria /fungi dominant teas... The new tea doesn't replace, or deminish the current microbial life In the medium. If the good bacteria has colonized the roots properly, and the mycorrhizal fungi has established a good food web... Changing the type of tea you make, really won't make a massive difference. As for the nitrogen fixing bacteria, you shouldn't be feeding the plants much nitrogen in flower anyways... And adding a fungi Dom tea won't lessen the work the existing microbes are doing. Remember, all we are doing is innoculating the medium, and making sure we keep a good amount, by more teas. So if you were to only start with teas in flower, I'd make a more fungi leaning tea like you mentioned, and if I started in veg, I would make a bacteria Dom tea. Or stick to my 5050 mix vibes DIVERSITY IS THE KEY

Do you guys like to use a bacterial dominant tea during veg and early flower, then a more fungal dominated tea for mid and later flowering? A bacterial rich tea late in flowering could keep plants pretty green with nitrogen fixing bacteria, where the fungal dominant teas will allow plants to color better and help with ripening. Thoughts on this? What step do brewers take to ensure its a bacterial dom or fungal dom tea? Awesome thread

I made such a nice tea over the weekend, but forgot to take any pics!! I used my normal shit... Stood water, Humic acids Molasses - I ran out and didn't have enooooough, so I added some brown sugar just to get it to the end of the brew. Small handful of oats - love it Mycorrhizal fungi Off milk And a sample of soil from an old pile of soil... Smelled earthier than most soils I smell... And boy I was not disappointed!! Every tea I make seems to be just so much better than the last haha. The ladies loved it and showed me by praying. I'll take pics next time guys!! Ps- I dump the solid bits from the tea, left over soil from the tea bag, and some tea.... To my cacti and pineapple plant... So much goodness right there

Fuck yea man!!!! The brown will never go away, so if you start with the teas as early as you can, then the roots will stay pretty and white. Congrats on the control group test!! I hope all the non believers convert due to your success Here's a Pic of the roots of some of my clones that got some tea. As for the brown roots, I would maybe cut them off completely and let the new growth do the things... The brown gunk is a food source for the bennies... But it's really unsightly and ultimately not needed. Bury what is dead
