  1. If you spray. Use it once a week for 3 weeks to make sure you kill them all. Also consider preventative sprays like using compost tea as a foliar spray. It helps create an barrier and will deter insects and other pests.

  2. My daughter was playing with sand so I told her to clean her stomach. I was on my way to water that tree when I saw her sitting like this. Thought it looked pretty nice.

  5. Compost heap! All you do is dump all your green waste (lawn cutting, drop leaf, what ever organic material) and kitchen waste on a more shady spot in your garden. Rest the micro organisms will do and you end up with very good black soil. Is a bit to fine to use directly, might suffocate your young roots, mix it with Perlite and you have already a awesome medium to plant. Perlite costs a little, the soil is free.. Cycle is about 6 months.. what ever you drop on top, comes out as soil further down around 6 months later. Needs to kept moist to work.

  7. @SkunkPharm I just had a look under the leaves: There is white flies and I'm not sure what the black spots are? Do you know what I can use to get rid of them?

  8. Thanks for the advice!! The only reason I asked where to get them is because I couldn't find them as easily as I hope, luckily I got 10 for only R300 online! Bovedas we get anywhere, I know all about those little humidity regulator packs, they just don't tell you the humidity. I would have to say that is the biggest reason at the moment, for me, why I'm asking for the one and not the other. We all cure differently and in those first few weeks of burping the jar I would like to monitor what is actually going on in there. I feel it's a little more reassuring. Once I pack them away for long term storage there would be no need to monitor it, by then I'll have just a boveda pack in there and take out the hygrometer and use it for the next few jars that are being burped. I'll never pack a hygrometer in a long term storage jar so wont need a 1000 of them.

  9. Make your own compost heap!!!!! Is the easiest thing in the world.. look for a shady corner in your garden, dump all garden waste there and keep it wet (stick a sprinkler from the irrigation on top). 6 months later you have pitch black fine soil to work with, beating any garden center by light years. Mix with perlite.. and you should have happy plants
