Hi all, First time grower and first time posting on this forum. I made a huge error the other day. There was load shedding so i decided to put my veg plants outside instead of just lying in the grow room with nothing turned on. (only reason i did this is because there was a 12hr expected outage ) I left them outside for about 2 hours and when i came back all the leaves were drooping with most of the them forming a taco or a cone shape to them. All the plants were a healthy colour but now have a dark olive and even burnt ends. I have done lots of research about this and im guessing that its severe heat stress( Unless someone can tell me something that im missing?) I would like to save them as its my first grow and im devastated i made such an error like this. I heard that using Kelp seaweed will help recover the plants. I need advice on what to do for my plants to recover and survive? Thanks1 point

@Bluntly Nice looking bush you have there....Never too late to clean her up a bit. Just go easy when she's in flower. I'd remove all the small branches at the bottom - lowest thin ones. Clean up all along the main stem, (open up inside) those small buds that don't get light and won't form proper buds anyway. So the plant can redirect that energy to the proper buds. Indoor plants need to be introduced to the sun real carefully. It was a good idea, just place them inside by a window next time. Some AACT would help, otherwise some kelp/seaweed mix. They should recover, a few days to a week and you should see new growth resume. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk1 point

If you have a liquid fertilizer use some and try to keep the roots cool. They should bounce back soon.1 point

There were some haircuts performed over the weekend. Sprayed with milk and water solution and all appears to be in order. The 3 thats in full flower seem to do ok, this is my first grow so not sure how they should look by now. Are there any tips and tricks to help with better quality buds etc? I fed them their normal nutrients yesterday and on Saturday I gave them some molasses. Today is the 24th day for the 3 in full flower. Please feel free to comment, suggest or criticize, its the only way I will learn.1 point

I tried to get back to work this week, so had less time with the ladies. When I first started growing it was all so exciting and almost everyday of my grow I would find something that needed doing. And it didn't matter what else I had to do - the grow came first. There is nothing so fun as learning to grow weed, and with each experience trying to do a little better (a story I would like to tell). These days, I am a little different though. I am happy to just watch them grow, as long as there is dank at the end (growing spoils you)...And there is something beautiful about an untameable carpet of weed. Speaking if which, here are the latest pics of blue cheese. this is day 18 (I think) since I flipped. Shit is getting interesting. First, both are girls and no sign of hemies (something I was worried about). They are clearly of the same phenotype, but one of the two plants is already more impressive (which is to be expected). but here is still a long way to go. I ran the nute solution a bit hot: 1300 ppm (although I need to calibrate the meter again). PPM in the autopot is 1330 so ill start topping off with water tomorrow. Although I haven't run into major problems I still haven't gotten the management of EC/PPM in an autopot down. I've built all my own hydro systems so I was bit of snob about autopots - but they are really easy, labour lite, and just work. Next time I use them, however, I want to drop an air curtain at the base to see if it does anything. The Chewdawg are putting on a bit of bulk now. The OG Kush less so. Will post pictures of them soon. On another note. Any suggestions for a a good pre-flowering pesticide for my outdoor game?1 point

Week 9 Update Orange Kush Cake Harvest & Report The Orange Kush Cake was an amazing plant to grow, she was extremely forgiving, stretched nicely upon flip and ticks all the boxes. Rich terps which took over the tent and excellent trichome production. Yield: 39g Smoke Report: Even without cure, she came out brilliantly smooth. The terpene profile is an unusual mix of sweet and sour, there is certainly some elements of artificial grape smell, like Fanta Grape. But also some more complex notes. The buds are caked in trichomes (will add pictures soon) and the taste echos the smell in many ways, rich, sweet grape with hints of citrus and gas. The high is potent! A hard hitter that leaves you feeling that 'between the eyes' pressure. Sugar Cane Harvest & Report Sugar Cane grew fairly squat, but had more branching than the OKC. It was also very forgiving though. During the grow, she had almost no terps at all - couldn't even pick off enough to talk about the fragrance. No fade on her really apart from some basic late flower N-def yellowing. Yield: 43g Smoke Report: Despite the lack of terps during the grow, once drying she came to life! Heavy dosidos coming through with her, that classic sweet dank pungent smell. A few days in the jar and she's loud as fuck! Not as smooth as the OKC without a cure, though seems to be improving after a few days in the jars at least. Another hard hitter, but more productive high than the OKC. I initially thought this wasn't a keeper due to the lack of terps, but now I'm wondering whether to run my cut again with what's happened in the dry.1 point

I missed a few weeks while I was on holiday, doing lazy holiday things. So here's a catch up post, about half the tent has been chopped. - Week 8 Update During week 8, the Orange Kush Cake really started to pack on some weight and continued to fade heavily. Definitely the prize of the tent. The Alien Wedding was the fastest to finish, at week 8. The bud is nothing to go crazy over, but the fresh cut had a very distinct lemon twist scent. I did harvest a little early on this one, intentionally. But trichomes were still mature with some amber. Sugar Cane was also nearing the finished at this point, and would become the second chopped.1 point
