  1. Yes, basically their underwriting bank raised it and they had to act. I also had a bank decline a business account based on the company name

  2. Payfast are often quick to stop supporting stores which may fall in a grey area with regards to the law - but I guess I understand that from their side that they do not want to take any risk or be accused of supporting such activities. Regarding the law on seeds, I feel it's still illegal although I do disagree with it and feel it should be legal. Law is a weird thing and often at times sort of contradicts itself. Some drugs are illegal to manufacture, possess, buy or sell but using them isn't... For synthetic drugs some illegal process had to be followed in order to get them. In the UK steroids do not have any possession offence, but they're still illegal to manufacture, supply and possess etc. Currently cannabis is legal to grow in SA, in the privacy of your home due to a loop hole in the law but seeds aren't. Cannabis seeds and plants don't just magically appear out of thin air.

  3. I've never heard of anyone being arrested for seeds to be honest. I've heard of seedbanks being shut down in the past but didn't hear of their owners being arrested. I've heard of customs confiscating seeds but not arresting the person the seeds were intended for. We have a few established seedbanks in SA now with owners names out in the public domain. Nothing seems to be happening to them. I don't think the SAPS fully understands their stance on it, nor do they thankfully want to waste resources on it. I think at the end of the day the big issue will become the money and whether its being taxed and that's probably why it hasn't been given a green light by the SAPS/government. I think the shutdowns and confiscations are like a slap on the wrist to prevent you from trying to spend your untaxed money again Last week I received an email from Payfast which is the online payment merchant for the online store. They said that they have disconnected the account because it's "High Risk". They didn't state the exact reason for the account closure but it's most likely because the store is selling seeds. @Cannabist that happened to you too right? I don't think Payfast are 100% sure themselves but are staying on the safe side for now...

  4. The problem is, it takes longer to grow another single 600g plant, than to consume your current 600g... So if I split it into 6 plants....how are they gonna weigh my plants while wet and in medium? Are the roots, stems and leaves also weighed even though they are not the consumable part of the plant?.... All just potential issues in policing I'm seeing, but overall 600g is a decent amount to be able to have around.

  5. Some more updates: Going strong with the teas, brewing one every 4 days or so, really happy with the effects in DWC and have been sharing the reaming teas with the neighbors and their plants are all very happy. Well here is some photos, This was about two weeks agoand now we have this The new roots are white and super healthy, I have not changed the RES, only added tea twice, and Booom!! It's amazing how the new roots go crazy after the tea! @CreX thanks for all the advice and your time to share your knowledge and really help people, this thread saved me from dumping my whole DWC system.

  6. So I split my mix into 2, one went into a black container, 50lt , and the other in my garden under a tree. Covered with a black bag or tent cover. And rocks to weigh is down but I gets hot!! I found the one in the container to be the cleaner one. So using that for my indoor. It clean but the one in the garden ,wasn't so great. Dont let it go over 7 days, cause it will cool down and flies love that stuff. That's what I learnt . Yes the mycelium will colonize the bran ,all over. That's why you turn it, so the whole pile is colonized . Remember that ,to inoculate a 20kg bag of soil, you would use a cup of imo4. Little goes a long way. Imo is added to indigenous soil to add back, what has been taken out or missing. Like you play God with your lights, you are the food web, you capturing something that's naturally available in the eco system. And putting it back into your soil. Basically refreshing the "environment " soil. That's why when collection imo, it's best done in an untouched, by humans, environment. A farm, forests etc. But specific to where you growing .

  7. Such things have been going on for years already, various forms of currency / money. Crypto has helped to make it a bit easier for the "average Joe" but still isn't quite ideal in many regards and often comes with a learning curve and not everyone understands it and then the issue of how stable the currency is. We will get there though, we're already making good progress. In a few years time we'll probably look back and laugh at the situation.

  8. Sorry.. forgot to answer this one. His leaves slightly curled and rippled and got lighter spots on the leafs edges. I didn't diagnose it on that.. when he told me that he gave 4 grow and 4 bloom per liter.. "but my autoflowers are way smaller and get 4/4, didn't think it would hurt the big ones".. my answer was: Is the amount of flower material using the nutrition. You have hardly any flower substance yet, where should all the P and K get used? Understand why a plants needs what type of fertilizer, gives you the best idea how much to give. And again the same rule: Less is always better, if you are in question what to do. If you actually log the water consumption of your plants, you will see the first change.. they stop drinking, when they run into a problem. Have a plant going down in water.. she is on the way into a lock out. If you can figure out now why she is stressed, you have the shortest stop in growing time. Once they go into a lock out.. you lose around 2 weeks of growing and development on the plant, till you have sorted your fuck up

  9. I see just to many posting single Bio Bizz components they use.. is a fertilizer system and should be used like that. So here is my guide to Bio Bizz to use in soil (recommended soil: Freedom Farms Green Bag, Premium Classic). For Autoflower, follow the light-mix / coco mix table as good as you can, with 2 changes to be more on the save side, if you start with the fertilizer. You need 4 products for soil: Fish-Mix, Grow, Bloom and Top-Max First change to the table: Start giving Fish-Mix when you got your first 5 finger leaf growing, not before! Second change: Only start with Top-Max, when your flowers are finger thick. And no guessing how much you put into your water, be as accurate as you can be! 1ml is 1ml.. not 1.5 or 0.7.. is 1! Lets make a theory run: You start the germination process with sterile water and let them pop and grow to about 2cm root. Plant in your grow medium. As soon as the plants show their 5 finger leaf (end week 2, if slow week three), you add 2ml Fish-Mix to each liter of water you feed. (I syringe feed till they have occupied the 11 liter pot, is my max pot size for Autos) If you run feminized seeds, the time table is not for you. But till now, you did the same.. go on feeding 2ml till they reach about 100cm, go up to 3ml per liter Fish-Mix. When your plants show the first signs, that they go into flowering, swap from Fish-Mix to Grow and bloom. Autos follow the table, feminized go 2ml/2ml of each. When the flowers are easy to see by eye, I have the next shift and go 3/3 of Grow and Bloom. As soon as the flowers reach finger thickness, time to add Top-Max to the party (1ml). This is not nutrition, is a enzyme forcing flower production.. and rather expensive ^^ So easy with it. You stay on 3/3 grow and bloom per liter from now on till end, you just add 2 more stages of Top-Max depending how your flowers grow. So the final weeks you run 3 Grow, 3 Bloom, 3 Top-Max per liter of water. Every 2 weeks, put a flush day. Water the pots with pure water till you have a very good run off! Is to eliminate concentrated fertilizer pockets in the soil. If you use saucers, never ever let the plants stand in water for longer as 5 hours. Empty by hand if needed. 2 weeks before harvest you drop the Grow and Bloom.. if you feel freaky and your wallet is filled, stay on adding 2ml Top-Max only for the next 4-5 days, then pure water till the end. (I recommend a 2 day total darkness stress and no water before you cut and hang to dry.. if you haven't tried, try, curing time drops quite a bit with that method, smoke is way smoother from the start) Autoflower, you can follow that table really 1:1.. but plants not following their grow schedule you will kill. So always use your brain.. giving a not yet flowering plant bloom.. will hurt her over time. She just doesn't need the P yet in those amounts. The sole difference between Fish-Mix and Grow is that Grow is 75% Fish-Mix and 25% molasses. So when you swap from Fish to Grow, you reduce N and add sugar.. just that you understand. The additional sugar is also a way to push the plants into flowering.. what means.. do not use Grow on early Autos!!!!!! You can use Grow from time to time on your feminized in Veg state.. but I personal stick to Fish-Mix only during the growing phase. And a last little add on.. for Autoflowers I recommend to use Root Juice from Bio Bizz.. you can already dump the seeds in a glass with Root Juice mix (4ml) and also wet the paper towels with it. It improves the grow of your roots a lot.. and bigger roots mean faster grow.. Autoflower depend on being fast in the first 3 weeks or your plant will stay rather small. Is additional cost.. and not needed for Fems.. they have enough time ^^ Hope that helped.. any questions.. just ask.. and I wouldn't use Bio Bizz for Hydro... Fish-Mix has about the same smell as fresh diarrhea after a day when you let the water stand.. soil you smell nothing at all from the plants.. never used it on Coco.. so can't say. Hope that helped a little NPK ratios: Fish-Mix: 5-1-4 Grow: 4-3-6 Bloom: 2-7-4 Always give it a good shake before you use it!!!!!!!

  10. Do you bud wash? I always wash my bud, after seeing how dirty bud can be I prefer to wash it. I use a bucket with a mix of Lemon Juice and Bicarb of Soda and then I use another bucket or two of plain tap water. Curious to see if others also wash their bud and what their reasons are for washing or not washing their bud.

  12. Isn't CO2 heavier and therefore it would sink to the bottom of the pots / tent? In which case, I am not sure how much of a difference it will actually make? Combine this with air flow in the tent... New air would be brought into the tent constantly and leaving the tent constantly. I think to get benefits from CO2 one would need to seal the tent. I could be wrong though. The above is just my thoughts.

  13. I'm fine with 600g dry, don't see anything about concentrates though? Also they are going to need to clarify a bit more. What about plants still in veg/flowering while having 600g stock on hand, will there be a limit on amount of plants growing..

These has also recieved the least attention of all my plants and haven't had any pest issues so far[emoji1696]. Painkiller Royal Medic Mighty Grape

  15. Howdy@Dank I was super bummed after all the time and effort that went into that lady. Really started getting excited to see her flower. Aware that certain stresses can and will cause a plant to herm, just depends how susceptible the plant is. Knew it was a risk to train her like that, so can only blame myself, but now we know better. I took some clones of all the confirmed females, so all is not lost. @Prom, not much I can do about the heat but, can make a plan regarding fabric pots. They do dry out faster especially with the voracious Big Cookies and our hotashell summers. We gradually reaching a conclusion that our summer climate is more suitable to growing photoperiod plants in large pots (countersunk into the earth) during this season as opposed to multiple smaller plants in fabric bags. Yield vs variety vs managebility vs stress. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Some of you may have met me already at various expos, events and on The Hotbox Show. Also the owner of The High Co and ex Fields of Green for All director. www.thehighco.co.za Looking forward to making some new 420 friends and talking lank dank on this forum.

  17. One outdoor lady can easily provide more than 600 dry... But 600 dry is still a decent amount... If this is the case... I can live with that

  18. So 600g. Wonder if that's per household total, per person or per private space At least we are getting closer to a number.

  19. I think I saw fabric pots.. I agree 100% with Dank.. looks very much like dry root. Fabric pots have the stupid habit, that they run the water off over the sides and leave the root dry. Make a hole at the center and fill her slowly with water in several steps, that you are very sure the whole pot is wet. Should recover fast.. check if she goes herm just on one branch.. sometimes you are lucky and is just one branch going haywire. So one cut might save most.. if it is spread.. shredder the plant and compost it. such a nice plant

  21. Hi @Bospatrollie2 , flip sorry about the lady, does look like heatstress, perhaps the roots got a bit dry with the heat, she needs those tropical vibes. There is a herm trait with my Cookies, not so much with the GiantCookieBirds (havent grown out that many tho), the original Cookies mom I received hermed pretty easily from stress, this was back in 2015, Cookies was not really around, so I worked with that mother plant to create 2 hybrids with my Stable Kush genes. The GiantCookieBird's were pollinated by a very nice KushCookies male. I must add it is usually some stress that brings on the herms, space for the other girls in the greenhouse, sorry bout that downer.

  22. Good question, what I understand is that you add you imo to create a microbial rich environment, filled with all the goodness, that is in your environment. In a sense you making a truly living and super soil. About the Co2, I would imagine it helps. Thing I like about this is that, there not really clear information out there. You kind of have to use it to see the difference or see how it works . So will he able to answer that question better, at the end of my grow.

  23. Yeah, had my fair share of doors slammed in my face by banks, etc. I think that''s why so many of these private dagga clubs are trying to create their own in house currencies. So that they can mask their transactions from financial institutions.

  25. Morning greenies, The Vanilla girls are doing their thing well. Got some real nice ''spires'' going, hinting at good things to come. Got us slightly worried as the resulting buds might be longer than our curing jars...hahaha. (what a problem to have) The bugs are under control except for the grasshoppers which I can't do much about but it seems they prefer leaves and not flowers. They recieved their first banana and molasses smoothie and we were rewarded with praying plants, good signs. They recieved a good watering this morning and next up will be a kick ass tea. 26. All was going awesome untill... Frikken balls...and nogal on the big lady, bloody hell was I unhappy. Maybe she stressed too much with the lst and the heat. Unfortunately it didn't end there, as another Big Cookie lady without any lst molestation also decided to grow a pair, multiple pairs actually. Dont know if this then indicates that there might be a possible herm gene in there somewhere. Will just keep a close eye on the remaining girls. Needless to say they got assimilated into the compost pile. The remaining 2 ladies are doing grand and getting quite tall but no preflowers yet. The clones I took during cleanup have gone into preflower. Feeding has remained the same and their thirst and appetite has not wavered. Pardon the wilt, they were watered after the photos this morning.

  27. Fertilizer is a double edged blade.. at least when you give recommendations to use it. I try to stay below the "killing range".. just to not get a rant how my advice killed somebodies crops The measurements I posted shouldn't be in the critical area and not hurt any plants.. but I agree with you.. the sky is the limit and you can bring the dosage up still easy. But only do that, when you understand what you do with fertilizer. As a beginner in using it, stick to the rule: Less is always better!! And once you have a few harvests done and feel experimental.. go ballistic!!

  28. Good luck man! Do you let the mycelium colonize the soil which your plants are in? I guess if anything, this may keep some pests and other contaminants away?

  29. What issues did your friend notice? When I was using BioBizz I tried going higher than their recommendation, especially with Bloom and did not notice any ill effects. I do agree that with the amount I was using, it was overkill for sure but I was pushing the limits to see what happened. Around 4ml of fish mix for veg I found is pretty good and the larger plants love it! Once I got a feel for the BioBizz I stopped following the guide exactly and went based on what the plants were telling me and their size etc. with regards to the strength - but still never went above 4ml of fish mix. Was no need to.

  30. Would the use of mycelium in this regard also be benificial in terms of CO2 production in the grow environment? My ignorant beginner self initially thought I could run a 400W birdwing HPS in a 0.8mx0.8m tent with no extraction system Quickly invested in an extraction and cool tube setup, and downgraded to 250W. But in fairness, even that couldn't beat the heat, and it was a January.

  33. Also collected indigenous microorganism, (imo) Which is basically, you take everything (bacteria, fungi, nematodes) which you collect from miselium rich spot. Under a tree, under growth. Away from sun, you use par cooked rice as a food source for the miselium to collect on and inhabit. Once that is done, you mix in equal parts brown sugar and ferment for 10 days ( I did). That's your imo2. You have basically collected the environment around you. You have it in a bottle. Then you want to move to imo3, which is basically when you introduce a carbohydrate source , to feed your "environment " . I got bran from a horse feed place. Which you "cook" for 7 days, will reach temperatures of 40 to 50 degrees. Has to be turned everyday. So the recipe is basically, fpj, and 1 :500 of imo2 to water that been out in the sun. You want to mix your imo2 into the water, you really just need a tiny bit to inoculate a 30kg. Dont make 30kg, can make 1 kg, tiny bit goes a long way. That's what I need for what I am doing. After 7 days, that's your imo3, now you want to move one to imo4, that's where you introduce your soil, better from your garden because that soil is best for the environment you growing in. That's you marrying you micro climate, your food web. Your #imo1, is what's in your environment, it wouldn't work if you moved somewhere else or shared it with a friend, that lives miles away. It works best for where you are. If you move to a different environment, you would have to collect imo again . I like to stop at imo3 because, I keep imo3 in the cupboard and you can add it to your teas, for boosting your soil medium. If you dont till, this would work perfectly, because that's how you would refresh.

  34. I have purchased an 8 inline fan and also have have a small intake fan , plus my area is under shade. So tons of cool air and running my lights at night. Struggled with heat, in October, November and December. But stopped then ,pull the setup down. Didn't have the cash to get the fans. Some of the girls at day 25, from first white hairs.

  35. Good idea to research your nutes. Hortimix is a ''hydro'' nutrient complex iirc. There are so many on the market, but rule of thumb for cannabis..... More N in veg than P and K More P and K than N on flower. Don't exceed maximum recommended ratios. @CreX suggestion on the ratios is a good starting point. 1. Aquire a ph/ec pen 2. Do a flush or water excessively for a few days to flush any buildup. 3. Feed maybe at 50% when you start again- whether the plant is in veg or flower. But veg plants get veg nutes and flowering plants get flower nutes. Otherwise you will develop toxic buildup. Cheers Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  36. nooooooo!!! If you go on with that you will kill your plants Plants grow.. they use more water.. the more they drink, the more they absorb. You give em more water and boost it. I would give them a 2 day flush.. just to get the levels down a bit. You most likely over did it ^^ If you are still learning the fertilizer, you need EC and ppm meter as CreX said.. or you will end in misery. "Lets give some more" is in most cases a killer. Get contact with a person more experience with the fertilizer you use.. and get some tips. (I got a complete introduction from a guy how to use Bio Bizz) When ever you want to increase your fertilizer amount.. never do that on all plants at once.. less frustrating. Soil is not like hydro and you have a fair chance to safe them, if you mess up.. but still.. serious fertilizer burn will ruin your harvest yield and make a very long curing time. Best is to make some bubble hash with that ^^

I should be able to do the wind breaking as you have mentioned thanks.

  39. He is growing in soil, so it would hold a bit more water than coco... And not dry out as fast. Iv found that even with low RH, a 20l soil pot takes a good 3 days to become light enough to water again. Where as an outdoor coco pot of 20l would dry up in a day and a half and probably wilt by the end of day 2.

  40. How to wash and Buffer Coco Properly: 1. Rehydrate the 5kg Coco Brick in a 100l+ tote. Normal, chlorine tap water should be fine. I disinfected the tote with Starsan just to be sure there is no mold or mildew spores that can contaminate the Coco. I invest quite a lot of money and time in my grows, so I will rather be safe than sorry. I will therefor disinfect everything with Stars an before it touches the Coco. I make 1l in a spray bottle and just rinse everything with it. Note: the sanitizing is optional but advisable. 2. Make a slurry with the water and Coco. Drain all the rehydrated coco through a strainer. I drilled a few holes in a 10l bucket and is working very well for me. I also take a hose and run water through the Coco in the strainer to make sure I wash off any salts, dust and sand. Transfer the strained Coco to another clean tote. After the first run, you should find a lot of sand in the bottom of the Tote. (Picture attached) 3. Repeat step 2. 4. Add a calmag buffering solution (50g Calmag Nitrate to 20L water) to the rinsed Coco. Make sure the solution covers all the Coco. It should make a slurry as well like in step 2. Let it stand for 8-12 hours. 5. Strain and rinse the Coco again and transfer to a clean Tote. 6. Make a fresh buffering solution, add to the Coco and let it stand for another 8 hours. 7. Strain the Coco and press out excess water before transferring the Coco into grow pots. 8. Use Hydroponic nutes phed down to the nutrient specifications. I like to keep my Coco PH between 6.3-6.5. 9. Grow hydroponic product with the forgiveness of soil minus most of the diseases and pests.

  41. Transplant: After a few days in the Jiffy Pellets some roots started to show. Made a hole in the middle of the Fabric Pot filled with Coco Coir and planted the seedling in the washed and Buffered Coco Coir. I fed the plant with just about 50ml diluted nutrient solution. Within days it should start growing.
