  1. I got this mesmerising close-up shot of the stem of my Power Plant. She is 3.3 meter tall and just over 6 months old.

  2. Cant be sure from the pics but it looks like your plant is very densely packed with foliage which aids in PM buildup. Densely packed foliage leads to pockets of stagnant air with higher humidity which leads to PM. Will confirm once you have posted a full pic but it looks like you need to remove some foliage in addition to the treatments suggested above

  4. I forgot to upload these pics of the Kush Cookies. Sorry, but for some reason I thought I did. She has grown quite well and starting to fill out. Will do a proper update on the weekend. Time + work + kids = never ending madness

  5. Powedery Mildew is a bitch once you have it, it's very difficult to get rid of completely I've never won the fight myself 100%. Definitely don't us neem oil it will make your buds taste bad and is also apparently not good for your health. Peroxide, milk & bicarb all only manage the PM but does not take it away completely. I did milk during the day or lights on then peroxide at night lights off. I have a friend who completely got rid of his ongoing PM issue using sulfer this should probably be use before flowering not during. Hydroliq is now sold by hydroponic.co.za as mentioned above its expensive but worth a try and we would all love to see what it does here I'm sure. I haven't tried the stuff from Jamies garden shop. All the best

  6. Try go 50/50 for the milk, 20% milk is a bit low. Neem won't help with PM. I used AQ sf and then milk & water for my pm issues and worked pretty well. I actually mixed the two together. Both of these solutions work well. Maybe stop with the bicarb and just try upping your milk for now. Sent from my Redmi Note 7 Pro using Tapatalk

  8. Grown and smoked a few autos over the years. They've definitely come a long way in taste, potency and yield. What is your growing and toking experience with them? Any personal favourites? https://thehighco.co.za/autoflower-seeds-in-south-africa/

  9. You need to be on point when growing an auto otherwise yield and size will suffer. Dabbled with a few indoor, genetics play a large role as well. Potency has improved but can't compare to photoperiods, they're handy and have some use for sure. With time I am sure they will become even better and more stable. I like to use them in my veg tent when waiting for flower tent to finish - try optimize space and time. Outdoor their use is even better as you can get a harvest done quicker. 10. As an indoor grower I just don't see the use. The genetics have come a long way though and for outdoors it seems like a really handy option

  12. I have had success with eleminating pm with milk. I agree, 20% solution is more of a maintenance level... For this I would go with a 50% like @PsyCLown mentioned... Or even more... Up to 80%. I would do this in the evening so the milk doesn't dry out too fast. I would do this weekly, bi-weekly or as needed I would also take @420SA advice about removing all infected leaves(before the milk spray).

  13. Looks like you have calyx stacker pheno there @Smelly Joe, some have stacked so tight it's like little resin balls. Others make that classic square pompoms at the start wit bit less stretch, the more kush like pheno. Is her Terps more fruity, or minty, could lean either way, but those usually a almost apricot tasting sweetness. These hybrids surprised me with flavour, could also lean to the fruity gas side, almost a citrus gas. And POTENT

  15. @MissMayhem I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I don't see you overcoming this issue. These plants are still in early flower and look as if they have bad resistances against PM. Please don't take this the wrong way or be demoralized. As a last ditch attempt defoliate your plants quite aggressively. Remove every leaf and bud that has any signs of PM on it. Lollipop the bottoms higher then usual. And fingers crossed for some dry weather. I've seen a product available at hydroponic.co.za that apparently can be used in flower to kill PM and other pathogens. It's expensive something like 500 for 1 litre and it comes diluted already. Maybe look more into it or maybe someone here might have used it already can advise.

  16. I recently harvested a GG4 that was treated with neem, had a terrible aphid problem. Used a bud wash of bicarb and lemon then plain water, honestly wasn't bad at all. But I shall head the advice of more experienced growers. The pictures aren't great, will take a couple better ones tomorrow. It's bad though, pretty much anywhere the sun doesn't reach has mildew. This is the LSD, it was the first to show signs of infection, the rest were probably already infected. Thanks in advance.

  17. @MissMayhem Judging by the severity of your PM issue I'm guessing your plants are well into flowering phase. Firstly you should immediately stop treating issue with neem oil as that stuff is vile and is going to make your buds taste bad. I've personally used bicarb and it does keep PM at bay but requires almost daily spraying till harvest. The downside is it kills the white pistils too and gives the bud an unattractive look to it. Post some pics and give us more info and maybe we can help you get your grow to harvest.

  18. They change color by changing their chemical composition and that happens over time. Some are faster.. some slower.. some plants have their own agenda. As said above, you decide when you want to harvest. Check several spots on the plant.. get a good overview of the colors on your plant and harvest according to your liking. This part is the most annoying patience test of the grow cycle but harvesting to early is a bit like wasting all the work and money you put into the plant.

  20. So, I cut off a small bud and chopped it up. Threw it straight into my Vaporizer and vaped it. Taste was nasty. i probably just vaped some nutes. But after blazing the whole thing finished - im definitely baked. Not heavy like my OG Kush buds. But still noticeably baked.

  21. And I guess to answer your question about the sun... I think that a high UV index would eventually degrade the trichomes, but I doubt that it's the sun if it's just the tops of the colas.... 50cm further from the sun isn't going to make any difference to its potency and strength. A more likely issue would be handling the Cola in any way... Pressing it to see how dense she is or whatever... Less handling equals better appearance.

  22. Well, I wouldn't look at only one spot on the plant in determining ripeness... Depending on the size of the plant... I would take readings between 5 and 10 different parts of the plant and give myself an average of the amber. I like to make sure the bud is done, but not a fan of couch lock... So I generally cut at around 5 to 10% amber

  23. I have been joining sosatie sticks in an L-shape to train some of my plants to grow lower than my wall height so that people don't spot the top of my plant. So far so good. This one is probably going to make 10 main colas. They are getting the same sun at the same height. Let's see the end result

  24. I literally stand and stare... A whole hour can pass without me even moving... Occasionally I'll swoop in real close and inspect a leaf and then swoop out and resume my stare... Personally, I think they like the attention and or my presence
