  1. Shit @NinjaMaster , do you have any seeds from that sounds like the bombay dog!!! Assuming this is not caused by moldy weed, which is what happens a lot of the time to people, here are a few tips from a old puffer. Remember to breathe, this is why you smoked that potent herb, to get the thc through the system, then tell yourself its legal so you wont end up arrested, at the same time remind yourself nobody has died from weed. Then grab a nice LEMON, a glass of some nice water, squeeze about half a lemon into the glass, gooi in a half a teaspoon of salt, stir it up well and drink up. This is also for people that get too baked on edibles. What usually happens is your blood pressure is dropping like a rock, irregular breathing or some other things that your system needs to process, for some reason lemon water with salt works like a charm. Advice is from edible users Colorado USA where i first heard it

  2. Hey guys, thought id open up this subject about having full on panic attacks / paranoid episodes from bong rips or joints. If anyone cares to chime in please do. My advice - as ive been dealing with this for years is:Dont smoke large amounts. If its your first smoke for the day / week / month. Go Easy.take 1 small puff. or 1/4 bong only. dont fill that bong up all the way and pull it through.you will end up in a corner shaking regretting your life...i have extreme anxiety attacks from weed if i do it wrong.on a typical day of smoking ill start with 1 small puff. so small you might wonder why i bother?because the next hit in like 30 mins to 1 hour is gonna be a bigger puff.after puffing consistently for an hour or 2 with small little hits / puffs ill start to go bigger each time until that afternoon im ripping the whole bong packed full.you gotta ease into it kinda. this works for me. i think that the anxiety comes from overdoing it. same way as you would puke from drinking too much.if you having panic attacks then i would strongly suggest you greatly reduce how much you smoke. you can still smoke. but just do silly small hits.Essentially - if you take too much medicine from a doctor - its bad for you. it can have a reaction.weed is the same. too much THC = trembling and hating your life. you dont have to pack your bong full. you dont have to finish the whole joint. its ok to have 1 small pull. everyone is different. some people can handle THC with no problem. some cant. This is a repost i did on another weed related site. but i felt that id like to share with my ZA BOIS.

  3. The greenhouse is my personal space, to enjoy one of my serious hobbies, helps to switch off, unplug and slow shit down a bit and I can get lost in there.... My prettier half shares my passion for the herb and we share the responsibilities. She's got the trimming(with my assistance) drying and curing down to an artsy type of science. I even enjoy the sourcing of organic ingredients and amendments as part of the endeavour. I love looking for and finding alternatives especially if they are free, just go look in nature. (Many times a lot more sweat involved) Then even the mixing of my soil turns into a therapeutic exercise. At the end of the day we can enjoy pure, clean, tasty and organic herb that we grew ourselves. That is something that you cannot put a price on. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  4. It happens to so many people that I think a user has to be really naive to think that weed has nothing to do with panic attacks and paranoia but I personally don't think weed is the direct cause. I reckon its a person's mind and their ego. To me cannabis multiplies an emotion. If you're happy, cannabis will make it even better. If you're chilled, cannabis will make you more chilled. If you're worried about something, cannabis will make you even more worried about it to the point that you can't breathe. If you think that you're gonna die, cannabis will make you feel pretty damn convinced that you will. Cannabis is a mild psychedelic. The very same things happen to people who've had bad trips on acid, thinking they're dying, can't breathe etc. You're wrestling with your ego and that's where the panic attacks come in. You have to be in the right mind space. If you can just calm your mind or get your mind off those negative thoughts you'll notice how you come right again. I've experienced the very same things, especially where breathing is concerned. Also times when I feel like I'm gonna pass out. This always happens when I'm sitting and not doing much. If I'm out being mobile it never happens. Which to me shows me that it's in my mind Just my

  5. Excellent advice! One thing i can add - for some reason - having a solid stretching session always seems to help as well. If you feel shit after too much toke - try going for a solid 15 minute stretch session if you can. hold the stretches for 45 seconds to 1 minute. Doesnt matter what position / body part you stretch. just find something that needs a good stretch and do it. And yeah - for 100% sure my weed has no mould and i have very good ventilation. I always inspect my weed for mould when watering and harvesting.

  6. I had a panic attack once from weed and literally thought I was going to die. I had a cold shower, tremble in my leg, spasms and went to bed quietly thinking this is it, YOU are going to die. I thought of waking up my GF, but decided against it. Went to bed thinking WTF, this is it, tomorrow is not going to be just another day. I still rate that weed was laced with something, not to sure, but it was the worst trip of my life. Smoking safely: I would also suggest people must get out of the habit of sharing bongs and joints. It spreads so many lung diseases we dont even realize. There is me say that and last night I hit a vape in a pub from someone who was from Colorado and said it was good THC. Lol. Advice is always great but following it is another story.

  10. It's that time of the season, time for another run. Ironically about 6 hours after I started my germination, Eskom came through with their new start of load shedding. This run is heavily dominated with GMO and Chem with a little bit of something sweet in the Brown Sugar. But I'm definitely looking for some strong chemical and garlic terps in this run. I've popped 15 beans to take into account potential males, I'll be hopefully picking out the best 9 females and placing them into 25L pots for flower. They will be started under 240W of QB, then flowered under 480W of QB. Freedom Farms will be the soil of choice, but I haven't completed decided on my nutrient schedule yet, thinking of trying more organic living soil feeds than usual, maybe some compost teas, cover crops, kelp etc. - 3x Thug Pug - Mule Fuel (Reg) - 4x Archive - Face on Fire (Reg) - 3x DVG - Absinthe (Reg) - 2x Cannarado - Roasted Garlic Margy (Reg) - 1x In House - Garlic Sherbert (Fem) - 2x Cannarado - Brown Sugar (fem)

  11. Hey guys, Here is my girl around 10+ weeks into flowering. Blueberry berry fem How long do you think she can still go? Another 2 weeks? less? more? We are gonna find out for sure. im not cutting her until all those pistils recede and she fattens up and makes some amber trichs. Ill be posting updates every few days until harvest.

  12. Things are quite far along now and results are sadly disappointing. I weeded a few males out and a couple went hermy which was fine because I had to many to deal with. One Diesoline stayed potted in my sheltered yard with full sun. Weekly Seagrow and Firejuice for the last month or so. Small buds formed but she seems to be maturing early with brown pistils on the tiny buds: I planted other plants out in my front yard. Also full sun, but blasted by the wind and needed propping up with bamboo - some of which actually snapped due to the intensity of the Cape Doctor. But again tiny buds that are already showing signs of brown pistils. One win is the plant that I gave to my mother-in-law is flourishing in the old age home garden and all the residents are showing a keen interest is how it is developing. At least they are not too worried about the size of the buds.

  13. Did not read all the posts, although I find this quite interesting. I have had friends who have struggled with paranoia and cannabis, not panic attacks though. I have had a friend of mine pass out after smoking and seen another person pass out after vaping some decent indoor weed I had... The latter was directly after eating some food I cooked so I thought he perhaps was having an allergic reaction or something - got me worried actually. I have experienced some paranoia although I know that it stems from the weed and I am able to manage it, never had a panic attack from weed though. The worst experience was probably eating edible when I was sick and at a party and had flu, I felt bad and ended up throwing up. I read an article about weed being mature vs immature and the affects one with regards to REM sleep and anxiety & paranoia etc. Dabbled with it slightly and from what I was able to tell it did seem to increase (paranoia, anxiety, feeling groggy the next morning) with weed which had not matured. I will also be curious as to how someone experiencing some paranoia or anxiety would feel after smoking a good high CBD strain or a CBD strain with less than 1% THC as I find this does calm one down quite heavily and relax someone. I have some high CBD, low THC bud but don't really suffer from this issue so been hard for me to test it properly however I know that @CreX also found that smoking a high CBD, low THC strain first and then moving onto the high THC stuff helped him avoid paranoia / anxiety. Perhaps he can share more of his experience and what it did for him etc. I do believe that cannabis, like other psychoactive substances, is affected by mindset and your setting. It may be more inclined to push you more into one direction (positive), however can certainly push you in the other even without you noticing or by having some stuff sitting in your sub-conscious.

  14. Thanks@Dank Yeah they started, got a sweet fruity scent to them with a hint of something else, a very subtle herby spicyness- hard to describe, maybe sandlewood/cinnamon/Vanilla. Tricomes are pushing and the colas are beautifull, tall spires. Lady in the ground is not losing nearly as many leaves as the potted girl and seems much stronger and healthier. 15. Eishhh.... heard too many similar stories. As a first time smoker, just ease into it. Take one or a few small puffs at first and wait for the effects, then decide if you need more. Edibles are a little different cause it takes longer to get into your system, that's where noobs make the mistake, they don't wait long enough and end up having too many. It's a question of dosage and tolerance. One thing that pisses me off when ''experienced'' smokers hand a noob a joint or a bong and tell them to ''hit'' it and the poor oke gets next level stoned/NDE. Everybody has the freedom to choose but they get put off totally when the first experience is over the top. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  16. Well said! Brand new users should slowly build up tolerance to more potent hybrids, tolerance is something that can only be gained over time. Some people won't enjoy the high thc strains and much prefer the CBD dominant varieties.

  17. Ive had the "Im going to die" trip from smoking too much strong weed. Ive had the I cant breathe - im definitely gonna die as well. My weed was definitely not laced however - as i grew it myself. I think its always a good idea to be real and stick to smoking a little bit at first. see how you feel. and then have some more. you can always have more. but you cant go back and undo a massive bong hit.

  19. pretty much exactly what happens to me. grass does it too, probably an allergic reaction to something in the plants. Thanks man. 1 tbsp of sunlight good? also, I read they have to be in full light when applying, they don't get much sunlight in the afternoon because of a nearby tree and building. I removed a shit ton of leaves, so this will actually be plausible to do. thanks man.

  20. Not much going on due to limited space at the moment, will probably take a few clones this weekend and then onto flowering. If she leaves a good impression during flowering I will keep one of her clones for a while, trying to build up a decent selection of good mothers to keep the flower room popping and do a nice outdoor run end of this year.

  22. My kinda thread Autos have some advantages.. and some disadvantages ( at least I got told hehehe) I grew a few and, me, I love autos. My opinion advantages/disadvantages of Autoflower Disadvantage - Got told they taste less good as they grow less long (that is on the list to get tested) - Not a beginner plant, every fuck up will lower your yield substantially, the plant demands perfect growing conditions all the time Advantages 1 Tent for all generations (18/6, 20/4. 24/0 fix light cycle) You can grow a bigger selection on the same space I get a lot more yield from Autos in relation of the fertilizer I put into the plant (cheaper weed) A lot less maintenance work (watering, defoiling) and easier handling of the plants First batch outdoor Autos you plant in October comes 100% without seeds as no males out flowering before the harvest. Over all I like the simplicity of the plant. No light changes, every 2 days 1 liter of water in my 11L pots. I have to grow 12 Autos, to reach the fertilizer consumption of one of my outdoor fems. If they don't yield at least 600g dry, my fem will lose the yield battle.. and that is with a lousy 50g dry calculation per Auto.. we reached on the last 19 Autos we harvested.. friend and myself, an average of 80g dry per plant.. we take that number, fem has to reach over 900g dry if the fertilizer i put into both, are the same amount. An Auto uses about 215ml fertilizer total during her life cycle, one of my outdoor fems stands on around 2865ml per life cycle... quite a bit hehehe (using Bio Bizz.. so fucking expensive ) I only plant Fems these days, if I can't get the Auto version of the plant.

  24. I grow ganja, bru...Growing ganja is an art - an art that even people shit at art can do. It takes a special kind of craft - one of binding yourself to another life, to try to make for it the best form of life. Its a neurotics therapy and I am extremely neurotic - but when I have a grow going and have time to sit and have a joint with my plants, I am not anxious anymore and my negativity and obsessiveness is absorbed there. It's my point of entry to a secret life filled with clandestine projects, experiments, adventures and even anonymous encounters...beautifully seditious pleasures (will I lose that when its legal for reaI?). There is also always something new to learn, or an idea I want to try to implement (the next time round). And I am always getting better. Wiser even - because I am learning the limits of my control over the grow. But I also complain about my grow all the time. Bitch! the truth is I hate my grow, and I wish that fucking thing would get done already... It is a trap binding me to a place - "be there everyday". A labour of obligation that is never done. The promise of more that will only pay out in full the next time around. An obsession that costs and now a different source of anxiety (because who knows when the cops are going to come knocking on the door (again)). Then it happens...a broken cola, an infestation, lockout... and my grow breaks my heart. I want nothing to do with this bitch... So I am done (almost). The grow will soon be chopped...but like a junkie jonesing for a needle, all I can think about is which girls are going under my new 1000w Gavita next, and which system will be crafted to nurture them through my training. But I am taking my time and testing the patience of my still fulll jars. I'm not going to overdose. Not again.

  25. As an indoor grower I just don't see the use. The genetics have come a long way though and for outdoors it seems like a really handy option

I like the way she is flowering and looks like it will be a good trimmer. The buds feels like small marbles, already hard.

  28. I personally love Autos, I know from seed to harvest (outdoor), it will take me about 3ish months to get there, it is mostly fool proof. Key growing points for me is get it into its final pot as soon as possible, apply LST as soon as you can, having proper feeding schedule with the right nutrient's and light defoliation if needed. I had some nice results already, harvested 3 white cheeses already, not monster plants but filled up a few jars , nothing can beat homegrown and properly cured bud, it really woke me up after all these years of buying from guys, this outdoor has the same if not more trichomes than the R150 a gram " Local indoor" that is sold around and the taste was not far off, I could roast this everyday. My personal fav Auto seeds is from dinafem, every seed I ever planted sprouted, I don't even presoak the seed, just make a 1 or 2 cm hole with your finger, drop the seed in and cover with your chosen medium, a shot glass of Tap water everyday until it pops. Dinafem genetics is stable from what I have grown and seen others grow(indoor), slight differences in Phenos traits, good resistance to mold and bugs, generally foolproof if you follow instructions; my Fav is so far is def white cheese and Gorilla. I need to order more seed asap! I have started my next run of Autos already I got 2 seedsman NL and 3 Advanced seeds pineapple glue grown with Bio Leaf coco mix ,outdoors in 8 lt Pots cant wait already :) Nice thing about autos is that they do not get too big, I can freely move them around depending where the best sunlight is and can also move them out of harms way ( hail, rain, pets..... It is ideal for beginners and in expert hands can get some very surprising results in min time. Best Regards

  29. Defoliating helps. Jamies Garden Shop has an IPM range that really helps. Have used it lank during flowering, but noticed a big drop in terpenes.

  32. also with all the rain recently, half the plants completely snapped at the main trunk, was taping shit up and putting in bamboo braces, think I put the branches too close together. On a side note, does anyone else get an allergic reaction from working with weed? my skin starts getting itchy, then hives. goes away in a day.

  33. Definitely stop with the neem oil. Can we maybe see a pic?
    1 point
  34. @MissMayhem Judging by the severity of your PM issue I'm guessing your plants are well into flowering phase. Firstly you should immediately stop treating issue with neem oil as that stuff is vile and is going to make your buds taste bad. I've personally used bicarb and it does keep PM at bay but requires almost daily spraying till harvest. The downside is it kills the white pistils too and gives the bud an unattractive look to it. Post some pics and give us more info and maybe we can help you get your grow to harvest.

  35. @DankFiend Firstly well done on pushing through all those issues towards the finish line. I'm excited for you and the plans for your next grow. You going to find controlling the climate alot easier. That gavita is gonna rock the party. I haven't argued this because I don't have a LED but a few guys here have stated that their LEDs yield better then a 1000W in a 1.2m x 1.2m area. Seeing as you would soon have used high end options on both your findings will surely surprise a few... just not me My gardens are doing well. So far I've found the blue cheese having the strongest structure of all the Barneys Farm genetics I'm running. In here I have 2 critical kush, 3 triple cheese, 3 blue cheese, 3 gorilla zkittles... All by Barneys Farm. I also have 3 gorilla cbds by dinafem. This room is at day 18. All I want out of this room is 1 cheese keeper. The rest will be discontinued regardless of their end result. This is why

  36. So I have chopped almost all of the 10l bag plants, but i am still running into problems caused by high humidy. Im not unhappy with my results so far, but I think the next grow I will shift back to flowering under HID lights. just tased a bit of one of my OG Kush plants strait off the drying rack. she is already standing out as something I would grow again but she forever to finish - so lets see. One of the blue cheese looks almost ready so I might be chopping her this weekend.

  41. So update for this week: Buds sites seem to be progressing nicely. Although I'm loving the coir as a medium so far it's becoming a bit of a hassle to water it three times a day, I'll probably try bigger pots next time. Week 13 Grape Balls of Fire: This plant has bud sites everywhere, very nice structure. T Crescendo RBX2: Sensi Star: Probably my favourite so far. Very leafy but thick branches, great structure and thick bud sites Braincake: This one just keeps getting taller. This plant also seems to have the occasional leaf yellowing on the bottom leaves (looks like nitrogen def), it gets the same nutrients as the other plants so I'm not sure if it's actually related to a deficiency or whether it's just a strain related thing. I think this one is going to take some time to complete it's flowering.
