I see nobody has asked why I stabilize at 56 and not 62. In my opinion 62 is just a touch too wet... I decant from my large jars into smaller jars for daily smoking, so I don't open the large jar as often teehee. But if my weed is at 62% it takes loooong for the weed to get dryer the way I like it. Where at 56 it takes about half a day before it's just right for me. Easier to roll joints, pack a pipe, load a bong... And most importantly easier to crush with more even weed bits. My terps are potent as ever after a crush. But maybe I am missing something that makes okes like 62% more2 points

Depends on your weapon of choice... I haven't got a camera so I use my phone. Obviously a digital camera should improve the results dramatically. Started with my Samsung A5, that took brilliant photos. Bloody thing died on me, something about ''black screen of death'' they said. Now relegated to my old Samsung S5, which doesn't take the greatest pics, but it does the job. Lighting, background and composition plays a big role, but I don't always have the time to play around to get the perfect shot and I don't like moving the plants around too much either. It is what it is. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk2 points

I am busy curing my first THC plant with boveda packs in the jars. The one jar has 15g of really dry bud inside but the humidity is not increasing to 62%. The jar in question is one of those small Douw Egbert coffee jars as I need to get some consol jars. Why is the humidity not increasing to 62%? Is there something else I should do besides take it out of the clear wrapping paper? The humidity currently inside the jar is at 55%. The bud was trimmed yesterday afternoon with the boveda pack inserted at the same time.1 point

Sup 420SA fam I recently joined the rest of the world a decent phone camera, decent is a understatement, this thing takes seriously good fotos. It's one of the new Samsungs, not the most expensive, the camera is a 4k HD 13mgpixels I think. For some reason weed fotos are more difficult to take good shots. I have read a bit about black backdrops and stuff like that, so was wondering if you guys have any tips to help me improve on my weed photography? Any tips or advice welcome, I just mik-and-druk and hope for good ones!1 point

I get you I really like my smokable weed to be pretty dry... Dry enough to crumble with my hands... But the stuff in storage and cure must stay at 56. With dryer weed, iv found that I can get away with a pipe clean once a week... But with wetter weed, I have to crush with a grinder which is a pain in the ass... And the extra moisture cloggs up my pipe so fast... Need to clean my pipe twice a week then. Like... It mustn't crush into a keif like powder... But calyx pop off the stem much easier than wet weed.1 point

Lol yeh I meant its for when it gets taken out before you crush it, a 60 gonna hold up a bit longer before its crushed in the desert, as opposed to the 50, donno if that makes any sense @CreX For me I like the 50, different strains also dry quicker outa the jar en en en1 point

Mmm, RH should be RH wherever you go... It's the airs ability to hold moisture. So 70%Rh @25° at the coast is the same as 70%rh @25° inland.1 point

Hi Day 31 for the girls. They bit stretched out, left them by themselves for 10days . Growing very well, some not so much but could be a Genetics problem. But all is well, hope everyone is enjoying there outdoor harvests or looking forward to it.1 point

From what I heard (dudes in the states) 50 is for more humid areas like down by the coast, and the 60's are for peeps staying in like Arizona or the Karoo (low humidity areas basically).1 point

I have downloaded many different apps to help me with the pictures I take but never get what I want. Sometimes it comes down to the angle / light / time of day etc, but I have found that my wife's phone take much better pics than mine. I have an Huawei and she has a Samsung. Her mother got the brand new Huawei phone and that thing take much better pictures than mine or my wife's. But at this point I also just take a pic or atleast 10 and then I just sift them out. I would love to get better pics up and with my upgrade due next week maybe I'll get better pics uploaded.1 point

Aweh fellow florists Our greenhouse is getting very pretty and smelly. Almost everything has gone into flower, even the ''slower'' more Sativa dominant ladies have decided to join the party. They are recieving flowering mix with a few amendments when needed. Have managed the Ca defs with powdered eggshell and Mg with epsom, so far so good. Pic 1/2. Is a f3 auto flower cross I'm working on, dubbed ''Fruitpunch'' Pic 3/4/5 . The Gorilla lady, a cut that was sponsored by @Mambawana that I've introduced to organic soil from coco. She is frosty af. Pic 6/7. Is a Seedsman Purple Bud, only 1x of the 4 beans germed. Was planted a bit late in the season, hence the small structure, but she's doing great. Pic 8/9. We have 2x of these Herbnation Cheese autos, must be some of the longest vegging auto's ever, but finally going into flower. Very dense bushy ladies, very compact structure. Lots of flavours and scents coming from our happy place greenhouse. Cheers1 point

Evening fellow horticulturists, Our Giant Cookie Birds are doing well and are finally starting their flowering. These tall voracious ladies can be a handfull, they just never seem to get enough. One of the girls in the greenhouse exceeded the 2.4m limit and had to be relocated to mother earth to finish up. Since flowering started, been feeding them apple/banana and molasses smoothies with ecobuz and epsom. They're an easy strain to grow if you can keep up with their appetites and space requirements. Had no serious pests and so far zero pm issues- typical sativa.... They are the some of the last plants to start flowering in our forest. Hoping their flowering(bud) vigour equals their vigour in growth. Good times ahead. Puff puff pass. Cheers.1 point

Evening fellow Greenfingers, The Vanilla Kush Cookie ladies are putting on a beautifull show. Both the earth bound and the potted lady are pushing awesome spires - 30 and 40cm's respectively at the moment. They are an easy strain to grow imo and impressive thus far, scents are developing nicely and getting interesting. A few more cm's stretch and those colas will be epic. Been feeding them banana, apple and molasses smoothies blended with the Ecobuz and epsom. They love the aact in between as they're always praying after. Luckily mother nature filled up the jojo's so there's plenty rainwater to keep them hydrated. Cheers vir eers.1 point

I like the douwe egberts jars... They seal very well in my opinion.... Iv never had an issue with getting above 70% the first few days in between burps and then getting it to stabilize at 56% with real ease. I like the big 150g coffee ones the most... Just takes me fuck long to finish the coffee1 point

Hope the water ph was the problem. But yeah, 9.3 is way high. I do periodic checks even on my rainwater just to be sure, got too many industries here pumping shit into the air. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk1 point

So I took a few pics before heading to work. I moved her from her normal spot to an area that's less direct sun but more chill especially today with the heat. Tonight I'll flush again with 5.5 water. She is really close to harvest and I'm thinking of chopping her and sometime this weekend or next week. Trichomes is milky and just starting to turn and pistils is also changing color. But as always, opinion is welcome1 point

Howzit 420SA Our ''unintended'' grow is doing great. We're enjoying the varieties (who doesnt)and learning about this awesome plant, how to grow it well and the organics that make everything tick. The happy forest. 1. Swazi ladies. Looks like 2 pheno's? 2. Three big girls 3/4/5/6. Non comp Choco ladies getting dank and sticky. Terps are awesome despite their size. (They remained very short and bushy ) Ignore the thrip tracks pls. 7/8. Longest vegging Cheese auto's. 9/10. WW x Cheese lady doing her thing. Very hardy, drought resistant plant. (May have some plans for her.) 11/12. Revegging magic. 13. My Mango kush x Swazi F3's for futher breeding. Been redubbed ''Fruit Punch'' for all the best reasons. Cheers1 point

There are pro's and cons i would imagine, to both hps and led. Big warehouse in Colorado pumping shittons of Gravita watts, just saying. If room is too cold hps is boss, if room is to hot led will always be king, my 2cents.1 point

I literally stand and stare... A whole hour can pass without me even moving... Occasionally I'll swoop in real close and inspect a leaf and then swoop out and resume my stare... Personally, I think they like the attention and or my presence1 point
