It could be both, milky and clear and amber here and there... With the naked eye it's harder, but I guess a few tips maybe in order. Firstly, iv harvested weed while some of the calyx pistols are still white, maybe 20% still white, and only in future grows have I realized that amber only really starts coming when almost all of the pistols go brown. Of coarse this is highly strain dependant and results will differ if you are eyeballing it. My general rule of thumb is now when about 5% of the pistols are still white it's harvest time. This gives me a mature bud, With little couch lock.. Again, strain dependant. The hand held microscope hust helps get it perfect to the day. If you can, hit up a China mall for a microscope with at least 60x magnification. Don't go for more than 150x either as your field of view becomes smaller and you see less trichomes, forcing you to need to check more places to get an average of the amber2 points

Morning, went the honey and cinnamon route with this lady. Scored the cambium vertically in the affected areas in short/shallow 2cm cuts to aid penetration. Applied the honey and cinnamon paste to the affected parts of the stem, then wrapped it up with a breathable material. Never done anything like this before so will have to see how she handles it. Yeah, also, try to focus in on a calyx. The sugar leaf trichomes will almost always show plenty amber, while the flower itself is still clear/milky...2 points

@CreX typo, sorry. Thanks for the welcome. They're called Talborne organics. Vita Grow 2:3:2 fertiliser pellets. I get them from stodels and sprinkle them in with the potting mix. I top dress with epsom salts and use more pellets, Fruit and flower 3:1:5, when the initial food runs low.2 points

That's the thing, to me they look clear, to someone else they look milky and someone else will say theres some amber but I agree, the loupe is not really helpful here.1 point

A good cure makes all the difference. Have been very impressed with Boveda packs. The little ones are great for in my daily smoke jar or bankie. Also seen people using them to test/calibrate their hygrometers. Been selling them for a few months and had no complaints, but understand how it's not always affordable or accessible for everyone. So did this guide about Boveda in SA and where to buy retail and wholesale. https://thehighco.co.za/boveda-available-in-south-africa/1 point

Been using Boveda for about a year now. Very happy with it, but mostly use it for bud that's to dry. Haven't really tried it with wet bud yet. Had best results in airtight jars and Cvaults. Also been stocking the small packs in my store for a few months and had no complaints:) https://thehighco.co.za/boveda-available-in-south-africa/1 point

I hope everyone is still doing good. I found like 1 or 2 seeds on 2 of my plants so fairly lucky considering its an outdoor grow. Would someone be able to tell me how far along this plant is? Sorry for the quality of the picture but its difficult to take a picture and hold the loupe and hold the plant steady. The last picture is with the light of the loupe turned on. According to the breeder I should only start looking around the 15th of March. I want as little couch lock as possible.1 point

Painkiller is nearing harvest time. I have to add that the Painkiller and Royal Medic which are planted in the ground only recieve about max 5 hours direct sunlight. These has also recieved the least attention of all my plants and haven't had any pest issues so far[emoji1696]. Painkiller Royal Medic Mighty Grape1 point

Thanks for the advice!! The only reason I asked where to get them is because I couldn't find them as easily as I hope, luckily I got 10 for only R300 online! Bovedas we get anywhere, I know all about those little humidity regulator packs, they just don't tell you the humidity. I would have to say that is the biggest reason at the moment, for me, why I'm asking for the one and not the other. We all cure differently and in those first few weeks of burping the jar I would like to monitor what is actually going on in there. I feel it's a little more reassuring. Once I pack them away for long term storage there would be no need to monitor it, by then I'll have just a boveda pack in there and take out the hygrometer and use it for the next few jars that are being burped. I'll never pack a hygrometer in a long term storage jar so wont need a 1000 of them.1 point

Why bother... dry it, pack it in a jar, add a bovida 62% and done .. whats is the humidity inside.. 62% need no hydrometer for that. After 9 month you have a smoke, you can't compare it to what you put in. The bags go both ways.. to wet they dry, to dry they re-moist. I thought these days everybody uses Bovida bags.. curing is such a mission without1 point

So last night I finally got around to pollinating the Grape Diamonds with some Grape Diamonds pollen and hosed her down this morning - a bit gentler this time so she does not need any additional support for now. All plants looking good, the Inzane is coming along nicely with the seeds forming. Man Cookies #1 looking hella frosty! I wish my phone was better at taking pics of bud. The Man Cookies #2 has stretched a looot, a lot more than I anticipated as well so I had to bend some of the branches and tie them down to try and even out the canopy a bit. Before any additional training on the Man Cookies #2 One branch done: All the branches done: I must admit I have been neglecting this grow a bit due to life, however so far the results still appear to be decent. I have started giving 2 of the plants ripening nutes and will probably start flushing the Man Cookies #1 in a week or so and will be using some Florakleen to flush.1 point
