  1. It's been a minutes since my last update and a bit has happened since then. For one, I chopped one blue cheese plant. Taste was nice (more berry than cheese), yield was so so. On the whole, it didn't redeem barney's genetics but I am not unhappy with the results. However, there is still another phenotype under the light that might still save their rep (will post pics when I do a close out post for this round after I chop next week. This last week the outdoor sorbet has been the story and I had a bit of a struggle with everything being so wet again. although I would have liked to have left her another week, I decided last night not to risk it and started chopping around 4pm. Just as well. As I was getting into it the rain started to threaten again so I took the remaining branches, tied them together and shifted the operation inside. Luckily I had some help - but even with two of us doing the trimming (really badly), at 4am we were still not done and we only stopped working when I got loadshed. this means I didn't go to work today and only just finished hanging the last buds now. They look good, and the yield looks like it might turn out to be massive. Because there was so much, and trimming was such a mission, I threw lots of the lower buds together with the sugar leaves, so I should be able to make a fair amount of decent hash as well. I am also going to need a lot more curing bottles. Now I start getting things ready for the next round.

  2. I think it's been about a month since pollination. The 2 plants are really well seeded. Seeds are starting to splitt out their calyxs... Next update will be bud shots of all the plants involved in this project including the safety meeting females so we can gauge compatibility... Until then

  6. Hi guys, So my initial plans were to cross 4 of my best cuts with a Safety Meeting male (electric watermelon x 9lb Hammer) and a Pineapple Skunk male. Gorilla Girl Sweet Orange Cookies Wedding Cake Amnesia All these cuts were individually selected from their respective packs over the years. Breeding was to be done in an indoor breeding chamber(1m x 1m tent). After some setbacks in other parts of my garden and not been able to slow the gals growth down, they ended up too big for the chamber. Between this and me obtaining some proper breeding stock for a more exciting project, I decided to carryout the breeding outdoors. Out of the 6pack of Safety Meeting I only found 1 male and the rest where gals. Out the pineapple skunk all were female. I was disappointed at first but the one male that I did find has really caught my eye. He just sticks out of the crowd of plants. He has great structure, stinky stem rub, short internodal spacing and doesn't stretch alot in flower. Couple this with the fact that his 5 sisters that are currently in flower are absolute . They portraying 2 different phenos that I'm going to have to eventually take them to the final smoke test to see who gets to stay. Unfortunately I was not able to flower the male out and harvested him for his pollen when he was like 3 weeks into flowering because didn't want him seeding everything. I manually pollinated 2 plants Wedding Cake Amnesia

  8. Well done on this project @Mambawana - gosh I really feel like a kid in a nappy running around and excited about these results you guys pull out of that Hat. Wow. @Trinityfarm is cool for April, down in the diary! Gotta plan some of the activity, soz we can all beg whilst receiving, hahaha The 1000Hills Nursery products are doing so damn stylish in the nursery with the new project lights run by the Atom450 powerstation!! There is one girl I am so impressed with, stretching like a fine basketball player. Will post a story about the lights project on the board as it really delivered right off the bat and the planning and access from Pit-Industries as a special build for the Atom450. Light came to Trinity grow house in our attempt at recovering from that hail storm disaster in December. Looking fwd to more pics @Mambawana

  10. my last run on dwc, in summer hurt, which is why I was waiting for winter. I ended u dropping bottles of frozen water into the Rez to bring temps down. Hoping winter an zircon will do the trick, otherwise will figure out some kind of chiller solution. as its just for three plants it should be doable.

  11. @DankFiend Well done on reaching the finish line window. The last lap is always the most stressful. Pretty cool that you improving here and there in your set-up. Using the whole room will definitely help dial in conditions against PM etc. RDWC rocks... just too many advantages that we all know... just make sure you have some plan to keep reservoir temps down even if people here tell you that it's not necessary. That was the main reason I stopped growing rdwc. Sorry about the outdoor plant and not having a copy. Don't worry plenty potential out there waiting for you in a another seed pack. My indoor flowering gals are doing well. They at day 39 already. I'm not too impressed with all the Barneys Farm genetics. Their trich development is mediocre except for 1 blue cheese and 1 gorilla zkittle which has decent trich coverage. All the blue cheese smell more berry like instead of the danky cheesey smell. The triple cheese are also not very danky smelling for a cheese strain. The Critical Kush by Barneys Farm looks like it's going to yield very well, it is definitely very kushy with a little bit of gas. The 2:1 gorilla cbd by dinafem has crazy trichiome coverage... more then all the Barneys Farm strains. Pineapple skunk by HSO is portraying 2 phenos. The one I like is super fruity, unfortunately it has really broad leaves and looks like it will yield lower then average because of no penetration. Last but not least are the safety meeting strain. I have 5 of them. 2 phenos been portrayed. Every single one is super frosty and very terpy. It's a bit of a problem cos I'm not sure which one is going to be the best of the lot until probably the smoke test so I have to keep copies of all of them around. Will do a full grow diary around harvest...

  12. just did an update. the one blue cheese is still not done - the more cheese leaning one (annoyed by that). the one I chopped is pretty nice tasting (more on the berry side) and has a easy high (nice mix of cheese and berry in that respect). filled three and half console jars, but there is a fair bit of shit that didn't get enough light - which answers a question I had a about the extent of fluence lights penetration of the canopy. Still it's a good light and I didn't do badly overall (which means I can take my time sorting the new set up). The outdoor sorbet yield was good, and a bud I took early tasted like its going to be special. A bit annoyed now, because I don't have a clone of it or the other stand out phenotype I found among the stuff I grew indoor. Im still figuring out if I want to go RDWC or something else next, but the next challenged is figuring out how I light proof the the room. ill ask for advice with that. Hows your blue cheese looking?

  15. Cool man, thats almost like a ''humble beginnings'' story. She's all grown up now, giving my ''Fruitpunch'' a run for the money..hehe. I'll post a pic later on. If she had more time to veg, she would have been a dank frosty monster.....[emoji3] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  17. Lebanon set to legalise medical, industrial cannabis cultivation Draft law, headed for final parliamentary vote, could boost Lebanon's crippled economy and curb illicit production. Lebanese hashish can be found in European capitals, and formerly made up about 80 percent of the world's supply during the country's civil war years (1975-90) when cultivation was at its peak. https://www.aljazeera.com/ajimpact/lebanon-set-legalise-medical-industrial-cannabis-cultivation-200312165832022.html

  26. Putting all on the P Bicarb would be to much of an honor ^^ I used apple vinegar before for 3 days (5ml per liter water) .. the areas where it reached the flowers, I used 15ml per liter and gave it a local harsh flush, soaked the flower as good as I could. The P Bicarb i mixed 1 tea/spoon (6.5g) per liter water. Checks I just did with the microscope on a few spot.. all tests look rather dead to me I will not spray for 2 days now and see what is going on. If the weather stays as humid, yes, I will spray them lightly every 2 days, but stay with the P Bicarb for now. Rather funny how your mood swings with the condition of your plants..

  27. Those brown dry buds look suspiciously like bud rot or dry rot. The fungus is pretty nasty and can spread, I would suggest removing all that are affected carefully, so you don't spread the spores. If it is fungus, those buds are useless anyway. If you cut branches it might be a good idea to seal them with a commercial sealer or a honey and powder cinnamon mix to prevent infection. I would suggest you topdress that pot with a 5-10cm layer of medium/compost. Roots dont like being exposed to light/air. Could always place the brick on top of the compost if you need extra weight.
