  1. ..and we are back ere'body! With a bit of revision and some lessons learnt from the last incomplete grow, I am on the way with Royal Gorilla as well as a Grandaddy Purple. Royal Queen Seeds - Royal Gorilla Green Smoke Room Seeds - Gran Daddy Purple The plan is to ditch the scrog idea from last time. It's such a mission when coupled with DWC, which I am going to keep, but instead of 15L cooler box reservoirs I am going big with 30L cooler box reservoirs. This should assist in flowering with not having to fill my reses every day..maybe now every 2-3 days. So in order to maximise yield minus the scrog, I'll do an 8 way manifold by topping each plant a total of three times and using low stress training to get as much spread as possible. The Gran Daddy Purple has a shorter flowering time than the Royal Gorilla, this will need to be kept in mind closer to the end of flowering. There is a possibility it will need to be harvested sooner than the Royal Gorilla. I do not want to sacrifice either to a shorter or longer harvest period than necessary. Each plant will be harvested when either is ready in their own time. Beginning the veg stage now, I intend to use the coming colder months closer to flowering to induce as much colour in the GDP as possible, genetics be willing. The Setup 80x80x180 Grow Tent 250W Quantum Board with Potentiometer and Current/Voltage Reader 2 x 30L DIY DWC Air pump + Air Stones Clip Fan Sonoff TH16 Wifi Switch + Temp/Humidity Sensor I have connected a Sonoff switch to the exhaust system which acts as a temp/humidity reader and can be used to automate the exhaust to operate depending on temp/humidity perimeters if need be. The device plus the sensor cost me R480. First Few Weeks of Veg Plant on the left is Royal Gorilla, plant on the right is GDP. Will update at major milestones

  3. Hello there! Newbie grower here, this is part of a grow I started in 2019 which failed, I left the outdoor plants outside, and they naturally went into flower this year (as I have recently learned), so I now notice these brown spots on this one, please advise! They are in a very old and basic culterra potting mix which I have learned not to use. Thanks

  4. Hello. I have planted bag seeds, as I am still starting out and learning, and I've just started learning about photo-period plants and auto-flower plants. All my plants began to flower a few weeks ago and are slowly getting toward the end of flowering, does that mean they were auto-flower?

  6. If they are outside they will start flowering at this time of the year with the sun at under 13hr a day regardless what tipe of plant it is. Flowering takes a minimum of 8 week dependent on strain but usually round about 10-12 weeks, sometimes more. Sent from my F5321 using Tapatalk

  7. Ahoy@Dank We also enjoy the Swazi flavours, we have 3 ladies, all cuts from last year as we couldnt procure any swazi pollen. They just started preflowering- very late starters. The Fruitpunch leans heavily to the moms fruity sweet mango flavours, but some of the Swazi citrus does sneak in. We like the way the buds form all along her stem and branches, with the minimum of sugar leaves- she's a breeze to trim. The babies planted out yesterday have peaked above ground and some are allready 30mm tall. 12 out of 20 isn't terrible for year old beans. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

  9. I have a few plants going.. mostly seed from my seeded grow last year.. but this one was my first real dissapointment for this season.. I put a seed in the garden and just left it.. she was a power grower from the start.. She took well to the poor soil and grew with long internodal spacing.. I remember thinking that I was lucky to have more than 80% of the plants be female an no Hermies.. Her smell was fruity and spicy early on.. She was in full bloom.. And then I spotted the balls... And unfortunately culled it was.. That's how it goes..

  10. Sweet, a man with knowledge Does that also mean that I can't import for personal use, if the product isn't registered? If I can import for personal use, I think I just order for a year stock from over seas.. products are half the price.. so the 30% or 50% the customs would add.. would still keep the bill lower. Not sure about trading and corona (not the beer).. might take a bit longer as expected. If I have to order one product.. can also order all the stuff I actually would love to have in my arsenal. In regards of the Department of Agriculture.. if it works like Home Affairs, I should get it way cheaper and really fast registered, if I do not go the official way I think very hard into the idea to open a online grow show.. with all the products I would like to have inside ^^ But after your remark, I think I better check with the officials, what side costs are coming into the calculation. So many thanks for the input!!

  13. During veg, if there is load shedding simply run the lights 20/4 (rather than 18/6). In flower I just leave it 12/12

  14. I decided to chop her and take what I could get. Another 2 weeks would've been awesome but atleast I have some bud now while I wait for the rest to finish. I lost quite a bit due to bud rot or some rot. So I'm cleaning out all the small undergrowth of the other plants
